  • @gonna_reach_the_goal33 you did great in 2019! And so much to look forward to this year, thats definitely motivation! I also need to exercise more, like you I was active in the summer with my hikes but once if got cold and dark, that stopped. Honestly any activity you do is going to help. Have you considered introducing…

  • Finished hike #47 and #48 today. 4 to go and 3 days left in the year! I have not been logging my foods, need to do better in this area. I am in that weird limbo between xmas and new years, everything is just off. I am reflecting on 2019 and its been a good year overall. Hope to make weight loss/health a huge part of 2020.
  • Haven’t posted being so busy with Christmas but now the madness is over. I am up to hike #45, 7 to go. Will need to double up some days to meet the goal. I feel like I can finally refocus on my diet and also think about how to deal with future events/holidays/birthdays so this cycle of binging doesn’t continue. Hope…

  • I am in the middle of finals (as a teacher not student) so I am trying to wrap up the course and finish my grading. I have 3 whole weeks off for xmas vacation so I plan on using that time to get my workout regiment in order. I want to try to do early am workouts so that when I transition back to work I am already used to…
  • @FGS1974 "to anyone out there who's struggling or not seeing an end in sight it is definitely possible so stay positive. It's not easy but stick with it and you will see results. " I needed this, thank you! Great job getting close to that healthy BMI! @lindamtuck2018 I'm having trouble with binging myself. Hope you enjoyed…
  • Catching up on all the posts and you guys are doing AMAZING! The before and after pics are so inspiring, keep them coming. I have fallen off completely. I can't even make sure to post or read posts on here. I didn't weigh myself Friday because I was scared of what would show up (and I still haven't gotten a new scale). I…

  • @Aerohead21 The good news is you know your problem is your discipline. You are being honest with yourself and that's a step in the right direction. You can lose weight. I think your 4lb goal is a great start and by making 1 or 2 small changes this month you should meet your goal. What types of foods do you enjoy? Are there…
  • @shorepine being out of my regular routine is awful for my diet/exercise routine too. I had one week off for Thanksgiving and went completely off the wagon lol glad you have your normal routine back! @aliciap0116 I think NSGs are so important to keep in mind. We get stuck on the scale number so often. I'm sure you'll rock…
  • @mmccloy12 Hey I think you did a great job considering the circumstances. Fast food grilled sandwich is better than a fried one. I have a hard time ordering healthier options when I eat out, I probably would have gone for a regular burger tbh. 2 Thanksgivings!?! You survived your road trip, now back to it! @Aerohead21…
  • @Oonagh I had a similar epiphany at the doctor's when I stood on the scale. I remember feeling helpless and ashamed. But then I decided to do something about it. @speyerj 's advice is great! Slow and steady, sometimes we put too much on ourselves which sets us up for failure. I think your goals are great. Honestly just…
  • Welcome to all the new faces :) lots of awesome goals, excited to see everyone meet them @HurleyHurley ditto on the mush. Losing weight is hard. If it was easy then there wouldn't be an obesity problem worldwide. I agree that hearing everyone's ups and downs is so important to not feel alone. Knowing that you can slip up…

  • Been a few days since I last posted, having time off work was not great for my routine so I have not been logging my calories and eating things high in calories. Just went back to old habits. Thanksgiving was great, very blessed to be able to spend it with all my siblings. Not gonna beat myself up but I totally went off…
  • Hope everyone had a great weekend! • Potluck was great. Tons of food: Carnitas, fried chicken, lumpia, pupusas, tamales, you get the point... I nibbled on a little of everything, made sure to log my calories. This was my first meal of the day and topped off at about 1100 calories. I try to get below 1900 a day so I still have a few calories if I get hungry…
  • @GroverBlue78 & @bdbjswbrb Way to go! You passed your weight goal, now just gotta make sure to maintain, if not lose more. @amlundie Eating low carb on Thanksgiving is definitely not impossible. You seem locked in with your diet, keep it up @bluffgirl67 ahhh you are almost to your November goal! I think I am going to steal…
  • @Stacivogue I'm sorry about everything you have been through, but way to go biting the bullet! I think its great that you are taking it slow with exercise. Like @aliciap0116 said "find a fitness routine that works for your personality and life".The hardest part is getting started and it seems like you have some manageable…
