So sorry for what you are going thru with MIL. Just lost my father in July so know how difficult it can be.

Today will be a walking challenge. We are traveling and even if we stop for breaks it is supposed to rain all day. Need to walk some on treadmill before we leave.

JFT - traveling. Will not use that as an excuse to go crazy with the eating. Won't get much walking in because even if we stop for a break it is supposed to rain all day!!! Just need to get out of this bed and walk some before we leave!

Portion control and good choices. You can do this. Hold a glass of water and pace yourself.

122 this morning. That is it for loss. Have lost even 40 lbs. Really happy at this weight. Now to stay here!!!!!

Still doing 10000 plus per day. Will update end of month. Just met my second goal weight this morning. Reached first goal on May 31. Then decided I could stand to lose a few more. Lost another 7 lbs and now am totally satisfied with this number - 122. The walking has been fun and productive to my weight loss.

What foods did u eat to lose the weight?[/quote] The specific foods are not important from a weight loss standpoint. Just stay within your allotted calories and up your activity and you will lose weight. From a nutritional standpoint you should eat real food with a balance of protein, fats and carbs. And eat what you like.…

Guess I am the oldest poster here!! I am 68 and have lost 40 lbs in the last 3 years. CICO works. I have logged faithfully and got a Fitbit and do 10,000 plus steps per day. I do the occasional spin class. Feel so much healthier and going from a size 14 to a size 4 feels incredible. I eat lots more fruits and veggies now…

Exactly Janice. I found MFP so easy to do that I decided I wanted to get some more fat off my middle area. I have to stop losing now because I like my size now and just need to do more exercises for my core and firm up.

I am averaging about 1350/day. But I purposely lost the additional lbs because I am trying to get rid of some more fat around my middle. But I think I am done losing so will be upping my calories now. I now just need to do more exercises for my core area.

Today's weight - 122.4 Goal reached on May 31 of 129. Will just try to stay here for now. Maintenance is going well. Anyone else close to maintenance?

Today's weight - 122.4 I am on maintenance. Reached my goal of 129 on May 31. Have lost an additional 6.6 lbs since then. I was 126.4 on July 7. So far have lost 4 lbs on this challenge. I am happy where I am now. Will just try to stay here through some vacations and the upcoming holidays and lots of fall festivals.…
