Karlotta - thank you! They do have iron and I was doing the calcium at the same time! Do you happen to know how long you have to wait in between?

Just started taking the BA Multivitamin capsules this week. Although they are big, they go down without a problem. I have started adding them to my food diary - one at breakfast, one at lunch, and one at dinner, along with a calcium chew each time. I finally feel on track with my vitamins. I was doing the Bariatric Fusion…

I am very reactionary so I just weigh once a week. (Although sometimes I give in to temptation and do it about halfway through. But if the scale hasn't moved I get antsy.)
-
Congratulations!

Haha - yes. I had a little "accident" an hour or so after I got home from the hospital - I gambled and lost. Don't worry, it calms down. Best thing for the gas is to walk and move around as much as you can.

Hi - I haven't tried organic, but I'm wondering if it's the whey? I'm sure there are folks on here who use the soy, etc. I pretty much found the only protein drink I could stand was similar to what jm1fullerton was saying - I used Optimum Nutrition Tropical Punch and mixed it with Crystal Light. Nashua Nutrition will let…

Just wanted to say good luck in the next two weeks and continue to let us know how you're doing!
-
Hmmm, I don't but I hope all the nurses on here will chime in. Just so glad it wasn't a blood clot!

An elephant's heart. Looking forward to the elephant penis at 60 pounds. That'll be a fun fact to share!
-
Thanks for the info, everyone!

Thank you! I ordered the exact same ones - Bariatric Advantage - and have been hoping to start taking them. (I despise the chewables!) I was worried because I wasn't that many weeks out from surgery and they're pretty big. But I'm at five months now so I think I will give them a try.
-
Thanks Karlotta! And they're the capsules, not the chewable?
-
Dumb question, maybe. What is a blind NG tube and why is it bad for WLS patients?
-
Karlotta - what brand of capsules do you use?

A woman I volunteer with at the animal shelter had weight loss surgery a few years ago. She is doing well, but told me about someone that had surgery around the same time at her Bariatric Center. I guess this man actually stopped at KFC on the way home from the hospital! Sadly, he had severe complications and actually…

Karlotta - that's just awful! Congratulations on breaking that cycle and being good to yourself!
-
Yeah - I'm going to ask about this, too! Thanks for bringing this up, Jena!
-
That's so great - you're already seein such positive results! Way to go!
-
Hmmmm...do you still have your gall bladder? The fact that the pain goes around to your back just makes me think that could be the issue. I hope you're feeling better and they get to the root of your problem.

I agree with what everyone has been saying and I'd also like to stress how important it is to have people in your life who support you through this process. I could never have done this without my husband. He has been so patient. I've had quite a few ups and downs in this last month, with surgery and changing my outlook…

I'm four weeks out now, and I have no regrets at all. This is such a positive step to take in gaining control of your relationship with food. Good luck on your surgery - you will do great!
-
The recliner worked really great for me the first 3-4 days!
-
Thanks for all the great feedback, guys!
-
We have a great group here. Feel free to ask anything! You will do great!
-
Cabennett - good to know! I got the BA non-chewable but have been afraid to take them yet because they're pretty big. Garber6th - do you have to take a lot of the One A Day? That would be cool if I could just take those!
-
Does anyone take non-chewable multivitamins? I'd like to go that route eventually. I chew four Bariatric Fusion/day and they're really gross. The two I've found are Bariatric Advantage (which would require I take additional calcium) and BariLife, which has everything. Would love any feedback. Thanks!
-
Bonza - congratulations! Didn't realize you had your surgery! I slept in a recliner for the first two or three days when I got home after surgery. After that, I was able to lay on my side, although it was a little uncomfortable at first.
-
You look fantastic! Congratulations on your great success so far!
-
Aztec - what you've done so far to prepare for surgery is phenomenal. Just keep up the great work a little longer and you'll do great! You've got this! JillCWatson - I bet your liver is gorgeous!
-
Charlene - good for you! You rock!
