I'm at my goal right now 145 and very happy with it. BMI ranges are fairly large so I am happy as long as I remain within the upper range within it I will be happy. I did get in the middle range and you literally could count my ribs from a distance, yuck! If I ever got the bottom edge of the range I'd hate to think how bad…

Typically prefer smaller meals with snacks in between. It works better for me to never be "too" hungry.

Double wow. If that isn't an endorsement for a mirror I don't know what is... If saw that coming I would have taken evasive maneuvers. More appalling is that jerk didn't even stop.

Look at doing interval training on your bike and add some strength training to your line up. You don't need to go to a gym planks, squats, lunges do wonders and can be done easily at home with or without weights.

I have bicycled in 19 states (some states repeatedly) and 4 Canadian provinces. There are many options out there if you don't care for roughing it. All in all I prefer the…

The current Trek 520 has getting & rear disc brakes... Bought a year too soon, may miss them this summer's tour in the Rockies...

I'm so glad to see someone out there that actually has a touring bike on their wish list. I thought my husband and I were one of the few out there! I wasn't sure I'd like loaded touring when we first started but it is definitely the way to go.

I agree with the comment about air pressure. I like to keep mine at 110 psi. I run with Schwalbe tires and these are tough puncture resistant tires. It should be easy enough to see if your tubes are pinch or puncture flats...
