Lost 1 lb. Anne

Yes, I'm okay and the bruises are fading from when I took the trip over the small electric heater which was on whilst the furnace was off. I've been popping in here though and am sort of in shock from all the bad news that everyone has been posting since the start of the new year. BUZZ has a terrible decision to make. A…

Yes, amazing trees indeed, last year's season. I'm still eating the apples, although it's the frozen and thawed ones now. So, I've eaten them every day for almost 5 months so far. Probably 2 weeks left, and think of the load I passed on to folks! Eating the red currants as well, just a few sprinkled on the apples because…

Hello MARIE, I'm so glad you are enjoying all the wonderful veggies out there. I've loved them all my life and today I'll be having a parsnip, a potato, broccoli and peas with a little protein for my dinner. Just about every day I start my day with oatmeal sprinkled with a very small amount of walnuts and raisins. This…

Ditto. Well apart from beans for me! Chick peas I can live with though! Anne.

Wise advice all round BUZZ from plants to the computer scams. Thank you. You've made us all more aware. Good luck with the motorized chair. Sounds like fun as you get used to it and pick up speed. There is a lady here who is regularly in one of our malls and she whizzes around with her small dog in the basket. Enjoy wash…

Absolutely well done Marie. That's a wonderful achievement. I could do with a few tips! I seem to be stuck in a groove. Anne ❤️

What am I having, MARIE? I'm having a small piece of haddock, a small mashed potato, carrots and peas. Generally for protein I eat fish, eggs and occasionally roast skinless chicken. I envy you and the beans for protein, but I rarely eat them because they give me tummy problems. Anne.

You'll make it Marie. Anne

Hello CHRIS, just a quick word to say I'm sorry you lost your little Poquito. I lost my cat Tabitha Daisy just before you started posting again. I had her for 12 years but she was actually 17 years old being a "shelter" cat. I've missed her terribly, very demanding and vocal though she was, but you are quite right in your…

Oh, oh, MARIE! That's my problem solving method, don't buy. Sad because I love food. Anne.
-
Just the same, what's new. Anne.
-
Oh Patsy love, I'm so very very sorry. Yes I know what it's like, I had to let Tabitha go and she was my companion. Life is pretty cruel at times. God bless, Anne.

Hello everyone. I've spent the day getting nervous every time the room got cooler and then breathing a sigh of relief when the furnace thundered into life! SHIRLEY, Wouldn't it have been lovely if I could have had Isaac for a neighbour! The house next door was sold a few months ago! The only comment from me BUZZ regarding…
-
Hi SHIRLEY, sorry I gave the wrong impression but I don't live near Stratford, wish I did because I visited there often in my youth (my sixties, lol) to go to the Shakespeare plays. No, I live in rapidly expanding Oakville in the downtown area not too far from the harbour. Often have I peered at the boats in the harbour,…

Hi PATSY, pleased to meet the real you! You look a real sweetie. Anne.

The heat is back hallelujah! I have to run it high to get the chill out of the walls! However, when repairman showed up I forgot about small electric heater on the floor, tripped over it and now am decorated with some lovely bruises! That said, TV also now functioning, figured out by my brainy Mark. Apparently when it was…
-
Well, you would get the giggles if you could see me. I'm sat on the sofa sporting sweaters, long scarf and warmest winter anorak because the repairman should be here in the next hour and hopefully he'll fix the furnace! I couldn't connect to my sons wifi last night which leads us all to believe my gremlins are nothing to…

Just letting you all know I'm out of business until a new part is found for the furnace. Back at the house at the moment and I'm afraid I will probably lose the geraniums I've been pampering since last October. The tv is totally dead too, but as you can see the Internet is still working. Anne. It's really cold in here.…
-
Bye girls for the next few days. Furnace shot. Need a new one. Temporary part on order. My DIL will be in shock when up I turn up with pyjamas in hand. Anne.
-
Furnace man here. Tv out cold, but internet now back after being out. Even my very small Br. pension hasn't appeared at the bank. I'm jinxed.
-
Yes, I've found my very old dusty heater and it still works. But you won't believe this, the TV has ALSO broken down now, it was installed 3 weeks ago after me never bothering with cable tv. Isn't that unbelievable. Can't call the cable company because I'm waiting for a phone call from the furnace repairman! Still got…
-
Wouldn't you guess, furnace broken down on a very cold evening. I've got a service call in. Keep your fingers crossed for me or I'll need to borrow Honey to keep warm! Anne of the north.
-
I corrected it SANDY. Yeah!
-
Hello, the gremlins are striking again, excuse this, I didn't mean to post MY post 3 times and I'm trying to correct it. Annie.
-
Well, it's me again. I've done my leisurely amble and the weather is brilliant! Colder than a penguins chuff mind you, but a great big glorious sun in the sky. And then I come inside and there's a text message on the iPad from Michael who lives "up north". Don't go out Mom, I read, it's like fog with all this swirling snow…
-
SHIRLEY - the pictures you and Sandy post of the beautiful little boys keep us all smiling on cold snowy days and show the hope for the future. It is a cold, cold day here so I am just taking a break from Dr. Who. When it first came out on British TV MY boys where beautiful little boys and it was a children's show, so…

Thanks BUZZ, it was me, misunderstanding. I can be thoughtless at times and I was horrified at the thought of hurting you. Or anybody else. I wish I could wave a magic wand and make yours and everybody else's pain disappear in this, what I call, our rusty years. My friend Flo has very bad arthritis and she always uses the…
-
Yes PHOEBE, I DO walk up and down the house each and every morning when the weather bothers me. Thanks for your explanation and you are quite right, we unfortunately DO wear out. My lovely friend Penny who was in her nineties when she died, and like me car less would walk downtown with me. Which is a long walk. She was a…

Dear BUZZ, I'm so sorry you are having all this pain, I really am, and I WAS a smug little so and so wasn't I. I don't say things very well, I'll try again. What I meant was, I've never seriously exercised, I never was athletic and apart from a little yoga in the past my activities were limited to walking everywhere and a…
