The pictures of the chickens wearing jumpers extremely funny, MARCELLA! Reminded me of Beatrice Potters children's books. I saw it on BBC news but didn't think I could transfer photos to this site. Glad you aren't faced with yet more raking of leaves, sigh. That was funny in itself, IF I didn't have to rake them again!…

PS. I've just been reading about chickens in Cornwall wearing woolly sweaters to keep them warm, JACKIE. Anne.

Interesting day. Last Sunday I raked all the leaves to the front of the house for the towns big vacuum machine truck to trundle along and eventually suck them all up. Today Mother Nature blew them all back to their original positions. Ah well, it was really quite beautiful watching all the leaves fluttering about, but we…

Morning, just letting you know my network went down for about 14 hours. If it goes again, just letting you know everything is fine except my server. ❤️Anne.
-
MARIE, my sentiments exactly, you are amazing and a great example to us all. Anne.
-
That makes sense JACKIE, your explanation. Thank you. Another rainy morning here, and until after Friday I think. Anne.

Morning Glory
-
Today is a very gloomy, overcast, rainy sort of day, but I honestly can't say I feel any different in mood. After reading all the comments I will just assume I am extremely fortunate, because by everyone's experience SAD does appear to exist. One thing struck me though, does it also affect the unfortunate who are blind? I…

Afternoon all, I think those natural light bulbs are just another gimmick to make us part with our hard earned cash! I was born into a fun filled family and I don't remember anybody becoming gloomy in rainy and dark weather at family get togethers or any other time. In fact the opposite usually happened, and believe me it…

BUZZ, in answer to your query I can't type the word for I'll get ***** again. However do you know the old nursery rhyme: *****cat, *****cat where have you been, I've been to London to see the queen, *****cat, *****cat what did you do there, I chased a little mouse under her chair. LINS quite right the machine doesn't…

In case you missed it earlier on: A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARIE TO A VERY SPECIAL LADY Anne
-
Dear MARIE, a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you. I will try to send a "card", but like PATSY I'm not sure it will work. Have a wonderful special day, lovely lady. Anne.
-
I wish you'd had a go with the salty language PATSY to see what would happen, lol. I daren't, I'd probably get banned now. Not that I use much salty language in the real world, just "kippers and custard" etc and I presume that won't get *****! Hi PHOEBE. Anne.
-
Morning JACKIE, congrats, alas I remain the same and I TRIED. I think maybe this is my happy weight, 4 lbs over what I want to be! Anne
-
Heavens I've been ***** for a normal English children's word for cats! What a crazy world we live in and shows how the same language we all talk isn't the same. Shaking my head in disbelief! Anne
-
Happiest of congratulations JACKIE, freedom at last. Not only will you be bouncing with joy, but George, the *kitten* cats, the chicks and the bees knowing they've got "mom" back full time, but, in the case of the bees, winter feed also on its way again. I AM pleased for you! Well it's a dull, dank, damp, dark morning…

Yes, I am SHIRLEY. The young woman is the one with masses of glorious curly black hair. She was very nice and she is often shown in various stores etc around the Hamilton area.
-
I've had that BUZZ, usually from being twisted in a funny position in the bedclothes, anyway it is painful so sympathies sent. I can't for the life of me remember the young woman's name, but she's a roving reporter with our local station. I'll watch tomorrow and catch it, she's on the breakfast show early in the morning, I…

Morning! I go to the organic store. The lady next to me at the produce counter looks vaguely familiar. I tentatively ask "are you on television?" "Yes" she says, "we've just finished filming here". We shake hands. Neat eh! Anne.

Hello, I was going to say everybody, but WHERE is everybody? Well it's been a glorious day, about 70 deg, here. I thought of that old poem by Thomas Hood, No! It starts something like this:- No sun - no moon! No morn - no noon No dawn - no dusk - no proper time of day And finishes up with NOVEMBER Well that didn't apply to…

Afternoon all. Yes LIN, I'm still eating the apples and will be until Christmas I reckon at 1 a day. Then I have the frozen ones and the frozen red currants. The weather here is pretty neat too. In the sixties. Our Indian summer I think. I had a very productive busy day today, even got a bit of gardening done if you can…

Nah, takes more than that to scare us old dears. Lol. Very clever though and must have taken hours.

Just remembered: one of the best costumes I ever saw. 4 people wearing running shoes and bare legs stood in a line, bent over, and with a green plastic covering their back, the front person with a green face thus becoming a giant caterpillar walking down the street to a party. When they got to the party house, after…

Homeward bound

And here's me at 7.04 just after my walk. I set my clocks back on Friday because I love early walks and watching the dawn. Nobody about! Of course I spent Friday and Saturday not knowing which end was up after doing this, but an early walk in the daylight comes first for me and all the other "wild things". Enjoy today,…

Stayed the same, Anne.

Good morning everybody! I watched a Canadian programme last night and the new theory is, we put on weight because of bad bacteria or microbes in our gut increasing and killing off our good microbes, now there's food for thought, no pun intended! Anyway, after watching an hour of artificial gut demonstration at Guelph…

Thanks PATSY for putting forward another viewpoint, and in all honesty I know very little about the American system. I guess me and my family were privileged to have mainly a British school education and my grandsons a Canadian one after you clarified the situation in the States! So I apologize if my limited views caused…

SHIRLEY, I really fear for those two little innocent and much loved babies, Isaac and Robbie and all the other little ones entering today's schools. What are parents supposed to do, put their little ones in private schools and their parents in the poor house. I believe the officer pulling her by the shirt collar wouldn't…
