Take heart MARCELLE, my son Michael spent all his time in his office, or still working and peering at computers at home. However, after initially dreading walking Cinders in the early morning much to his surprise he's actually enjoying it and finds it a time spent to muse and be free of stress. He's also taken some lovely…

JACKIE, my heart bleeds for you, honestly it really does!! It's the same here, but we EXPECT it here. Mike and I nearly froze to death in the biting wind yesterday, but little Cinders trotted along as one born to such a climate! Adored the cartoon of "George" in the bath tub and I've sent it on to Mike who will enjoy it…

Such a pleasure to read everyone's comments after such a sad start to the week. It's flipping cold here, cold wind and snow this morning. I know because Michael brought Cinders over and we took her for a long walk in a biting wind. She didn't mind at all, covered in thick black curly fur! It's supposed to warm up on…

PATSY, one thing struck me and I'd just like to add it to the above posting I wrote. Mazzie, MoMo, Jasper and Tabitha Daisy are our latest losses in the pet kingdom. Those two little dogs and two little cats are deeply grieved over by us, their "owners". This tells me all four where deeply loved and cared for, and during…

Dear PATSY, I can't say it any better than Jackie, I'm just extremely sad that you have now lost MoMo. I know, like the rest of us, that with our aging these awful losses become more frequent and also more difficult to cope with. Like you I lost family, friends, and pets in a very short period of time. Like you, I know it…

MARIE, very, very sad. Prayers said for the little one and his family.

I must admit I was a little concerned about you on the road last night SHIRLEY. It was pretty grim around here. However, the sun is now shining for your birthday and your anniversary plans sound wonderful with the temperature rising a bit in celebration. Isaac is one beautiful little boy. Aren't we blessed girls having…

Don't worry SANDY, I'm completely confused this morning. First of all, all this snow, second I get a Mother's Day gift early (confused......have I missed a month! but it's in case I don't like it and it has to be returned within 2 days) and 3rd, LINS joining the British Queen in having a real birthday AND an unofficial…

Thanks LIN, nice warm cuddly hugs appreciated!

If our temperature drops much further we'll freeze. The high this afternoon is 34F, yeah, that's PLUS 1, oh happy day! I am surrounded by a white world. White roads, white grass, white trees and white tulip leaves. It looks more Christmassy than last Christmas when we had no snow. Just having a little moan here, Anne.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SHIRLEY AND LIN!!! (And David, should you drop into the sneakers) Anne.

Thanks for the laptop tips. Son Mark says he'll look into them for me. Prices are a huge range apparently. Mark has 3 laptops, the latest the best. He needs them for his home office so I guess he'll sort me out with something reasonable. Yes, we got oodles of snow yesterday! Most of it melted today but more promised this…

Will do BUZZ. Thanks for the mostly so true humour. Finished my day nicely with a smile. Anne. HELP, just looked out of the window and it's a completely white world with heavy snow falling!

And it was snowing here this afternoon PATSY. Anne.

Hello, my take home groceries also look like LINS photo plus apples and bananas, so with JACKIEs the same thats three of us for a start warming the organic farmers hearts! Question, I'm finding the iPad increasingly difficult to hold and I'm thinking a laptop in my future. I've got an old Dell computer sitting on my desk…

The news reader has just assured us that the polar vortex promised for Sunday and Monday is NOT an Aprils fool day joke. 5 cm of snow predicted. The other news at noon that got me really excited, archaeologists think they've found another Viking settlement on the west coast of Newfoundland and are surmising there could be…
