Amazing that it's still so timely, isn't it? B)

So, no rest day, huh? Good luck with that. :)

QFT.

What's wrong with potatoes?
-
If it has calories I track it.

I love it, too. I buy the individual servings. 190ml, lightly sweetened. 90 cals of sheer deliciousness without all the fuss!

Do you own a food scale? If not, it's the best $20 you'll ever spend. Only then can you hope to be relatively accurate about the amount of calories you're eating every day. And there's nothing wrong with a McDonald's breakfast now and then, btw. A bit calorically spendy, but there's decent macros in a sausage or bacon egg…

Thanks! Gave me another reason for not being able to keep a straight face when I watched that. :D

As well, having the ability to actually freeze 25 - 30 meals at once might be problematic for most. I keep a few Healthy Choice meals around for the nights where I'm on my own for dinner, want something calorically and nutritionally decent and don't feel like cooking just for me. :)

And even so, that would be a crappy wedding gift. :D

When I first started walking, I could barely make it around the block. What motivated me was how quickly I found I could extend my range without getting tired and out of breath. I never viewed it as a punishment. It was more of a get moving, old girl - let's see how far we can get today kind of thing.

I did get a treadmill a few years ago so I could continue my walks in the winter without breaking a leg. ;) I much prefer doing it outside, though, and will use the treadmill only if I have no other choice. I don't mind bundling up against the cold or the rain, but icy sidewalks are a deal breaker for me.
-
The motivation is that a little rain can't stop you from achieving your goal of getting out for a walk. It's a mindset thing. :) I guess the difference is that I love going for my walks and don't see it as a punishment that I have to force myself to do, regardless of the weather. I live in Canada, and if I let a little bad…

Oh, I'm sure the guests would just love that! :D Remember, the wedding is just one day, just one meal. Relax and have fun. :)

No. No I don't. :D And being salty is better than being pickled. I think.
-
Use an umbrella on your walks? Don't let a little rain stop you. :)
-
I'm a salty girl, too. ;) What I did was fill my personal salt shaker at home with 50% regular table salt and 50% No Salt (potassium chloride). Mix it up and use to taste. I didn't like the taste of the No Salt on its own, but blended like that I can't tell the difference. Cut my added salt in half and also gave me a bit…

Good for you!!!! <3

Come on, we know you buy it for the articles. <nods> :D

Why not choose to lose weight to improve your health markers instead?

Great post! To the bolded: The issue, as I see it, lies not in whatever the guy's intended effect was, but why he felt it was his place (or right) to do it at all.
-
Yes, you forgot the part that even though a woman should be able to wear whatever she wants, it's best that she doesn't. ;)
-
I haven't found that to be much of an issue here. I guess my town isn't *that* small. ;) We know the names of all our neighbours, their kids names, even their pets names. If someone on our little crescent puts their house up for sale, we know where they're going and why, because we talk to them all the time. But that's…

Cat-calling aside for a moment, I think that a lot of the incentive to acknowledge strangers may depend on where you live. Case in point: I was born and raised in a big city. Although I knew the names of some of my neighbours and would wave or say hi in passing, that's as far as it was commonly extended. Two decades ago,…

"Junk food" is as subjective a label as "healthy" or "clean" is. The definition varies greatly from person to person. Although certain foods are more caloric than others and therefore need to be limited in portion size or frequency if the goal is to lose weight (which includes lots of 'healthy' or 'clean' foods, btw), the…

Not seeing anything toxic here, just honest, open, much-needed discussion about a sensitive topic. We accept your right to a differing opinion, but most of us (especially the women here) just don't agree with what yours happens to be. That's not toxic, that's honest. And if you are unwilling or unable to further discuss…

So you're saying that for you, a low carb diet was not better for your mental health? Your title is confusing. Either way, congrats on finding a combination that seems to be working for you. :)

If this was someone's first day at not eating anything until the afternoon, my guess is that it was physical hunger. Why wouldn't it be if their body is accustomed to eating breakfast? ^This. Nothing ventured, nothing gained (or lost, lol!) , but @cjproietti38 if Intermittent Fasting turns out not to be the method for you,…

Hard for you to imagine or not, it is very common. Weight loss is solely driven by consistently eating in a caloric deficit. Intermittent Fasting can help some people achieve the required deficit that results in weight loss, by shortening the number of hours in a day that they eat. But it is entirely possible to actually…

Glad that you take your Synthroid properly, but the question remains: When was the last time you had your levels checked? You may need to have your dose adjusted. Also an additional blood panel will help you and your doctor figure out what's going on.
