  • Thanks, Brandi. When it was clear that Covid was not going away any time soon, I decided to take care of myself as opposed to hibernating, which was the chosen option of many. On April 1st I started walking everyday and logging my food. It was a slow process, but by November I had lost nearly 24 pounds. I was feeling…
  • Saturday the 3rd I logged my food and was able to stay under by 45 calories despite any formal exercise. 5,994 steps I may have to reconsider some of my frivolous calories, like the cream in my coffee!

  • @DaffyGirl88 The graduation sounds so cute! It brings to mind my own son's graduation. They asked all the graduates (maybe there was a dozen of them?) what they wanted to be when they grew up and mine said "a daddy". <3 It was not an actual preschool; it was just two mornings a week at the community centre. And I didn't…
  • @ddainiak Your containers and your whole yard looks very beautiful. I hope you have success with them.
  • I'm Lisa. I am 57, 5'5", and just coming down from my highest weight ever at 212. I was only there for a fleeting moment, but a moment nonetheless. And that "moment" put me in the Obese Class II category....what a wake-up call!! I live in southern Ontario, have been married for 31 years and we have a family farm supply…
  • I haven't done a proper introduction in a while. Hi, I'm Lisa. I am 57, 5'5", and just coming down from my highest weight ever at 212. • I am in a bit of a funk this morning. I have hurt my knee, gradually. The first twinge was almost a couple of weeks ago, but during yesterday's walk, it was getting sorer as the walk went on. I came home, say down at my computer to drink my big bottle of water and scroll through social media, etc. When I got up to shower,…
  • @Tomsgal1985 No one can chastise you more than you are chastising yourself right now. Use this weekend to come up with a plan for yourself; an exercise plan and a meal plan. Make a grocery list with foods to bring into the house and another list for foods to be banished from the house. Make a list of your why's. Then start…
  • @DaffyGirl88 I agree with you on spending money on good shoes. I have been buying good running shoes since I started working at the business (before I even got into running) as I was on my feet the whole time I was there! And underneath the tiles is concrete...it is a fertilizer plant, after all! So, yesterday I realized I…

  • Well, technically my husband and I are farmers now as we bought his parents farm last year. On the land is wheat, corn and soy beans. My husband is sharecropping this land with his good friend, (farmer, customer, neighbour to the farm, golf buddy), Dennis. We supply the land, Dennis supplies the manpower and equipment, and…
  • You can only edit your own post within the first hour of posting. On the laptop, three dots in right hand corner of post. You have to copy and paste your post from the day before and add in a new weight and/or comment before posting it. BTW, nice weigh-in this morning!
  • Welcome @brandi_84! It is nice to see a familiar face!!
  • @Megan_smartiepants1970 I am going to have to drop out of the step challenge until further notice. I had been flirting with a sore knee, and today's walk was the most painful one yet. I obviously need to rest it. This is just par for the course...every time I get on a fitness roll, the universe sends up a road block, to…
  • @ddainiak Thank you! And congratulations for being the Biggest Loser on team Hufflepuff!! I did your strength video that you posted for finals...it had the words "beginner" and "senior" in the description so I looked no further! @deepwoodslady Hi, Donna. Another member of the "Pursuit of the 80's" group!

  • Thursday, the 1st Logged, 103 over, no formal exercise, but on my feet for four hours at work, filing, which contributed largely to my 10K steps for the day. My "good" knee has been sore and it dawned on me that I probably need new running shoes. I have been alternating between two pairs but they are both over two years…
  • Way down from Tuesday and three "yes" days in a row; positives to build on!!
  • Thank you, Susan!
  • I am the opposite. I was having leftovers for dinner and I realized I didn't log my rice from yesterday, which put me over by 56 calories. And I am over by 183 today. Some days the math just doesn't work in your favour!
  • I was just there in November. What show did you see?
  • Awesomeness!!!
  • @ddainiak and @joans1976 and @jm216 Hi, Darlene and Amanda! Happy to be joining you this month! It looks like all of us, including Jill, are going to be pursuing the 80's together! That's inspiring!!
  • @chicagoSeamus6524 Hello! Happy to have you here! Covid and menopause got me too, except not at first. Late March, 2020, when I and the rest of North America realized that Covid was not going anywhere, any time soon, I decided not to hibernate, but to use the time to take care of myself. I started walking everyday for 20…
  • YES WE DO!! Logging everyday, getting enough steps to give me more calories to play with (I refuse to try to sustain myself with 1,200 calories!), not having any snack food in the house (nothing I can just grab and go, because I will "grab" more than I should, even if it is considered a "healthy" snack), and embracing the…
  • Welcome home, Linda. We can't wait to hear about your trip to Vegas!
  • Wednesday, the 31st Logged, under, and went for an hour long walk, which I haven't done in I can't remember how long. Except that my knee is bothering me, my good knee of all things, so I probably shouldn't have. I am going to go to work today and see how it feels. There may or may not be a walk later this evening,…
