I'm aiming for 50g-100g carb per day. Based on how I felt at lower than 50. :-/

Yeah that's right using Mark's Daily Apple for sourcing on carb level 0-50 g is keto. But my reply to Troy was really about his stated fat % and protein % . Since proteins can be insulin stimulating you want to get enough but not extra so your body is not breaking them down for fuel and give yourself plenty of fats for…

If you set MFP to 2400 cal goal W/macros set to 70 fat 25 protein 5% carb. It comes out to 187g fat 150g prot 30g carbs

Troy. 70% fat 26%prot 4% carb.. would be keto. I think 5% of 2400 cal is 30 grams of carbs.

Lodro. Thanks for the tips!. Im not doing ketostrips. Im just logging food and keeping my macros close to goal. I'm taking a great multi vitamin and some other things like fish oil & probiotics. And I use plenty of sea salt. I will try the bullet proof coffee thing I think the move to use heavy cream in my coffee the last…

I have just started a keto eating style. I'm in day number six. I've heard the first week is the biggest challenge then it becomes somewhat more easy and pleasurable. My goal is fat loss. I want to lose 30# about. I'm 55 female. I've been drinking plenty of water and herbal tea iced. The weather is so hot I walk dogs after…

I agree. ^ Enjoy your wedding. Cutting calories right now can be very bad overall. You can drop water if you eat same calories but eat lower carb. 50-100 grams/day. Carbs require water to digest so when you cut them your body weight temporarily will drop because it doesn't need that water. When you look at the pictures 20…

I like the advice above to switch out some running for sprinting or intervals. I'd get a body composition scan done so you know your lean mass. You may have more muscle than you did when training for marathons. Also muscles that are lifting hold onto a little water - it is natural for their repair cycle. So getting a body…

Asparagus is a vegetable not a protein. Keep logging your food and look at macro nutrients at the end of the day. After a few months you'll learn the foods that help hit your goals for calories and macros. That's the benefit of tracking. The list of proteins provided above are accurate and those will help you maintain your…

Get some good shoes as soon as you can! Do not run in flip flops. Running barefoot on sand is great tho. (As long as there isn't any glass or rocks/shells and it is nice soft sand)

I'm the same age as you! Welcome welcome! Been a battle my whole life too. Got to goal two 1/2 years ago then gained it all back over two years. Been adding cardio and weights in the last month to get more activity in my schedule. Hope you keep posting. I recently got a bf scan and I have 37 pounds to lose. Though I would…

For me... When I have any amount of sweets the craving takes over. There's no fitting it in. It blows the day and sometimes the week. Just to be honest. If you are like me (there is no balance with a sugar addiction)... Maybe try a lemon lara bar or lemon pie or lime pie yogurt. Something lemony but on my plan. You don't…

Great job! I did week two day one yesterday. Keep going it will get easier.

Im with you. I just started c25k from zen labs about a week ago. I did w1d3 on Friday. I like how it eases you in. Going OK so far.

Agree with those saying breakfast is not needed. It has a name IF intermittent fasting. Keep going you are losing weight. Mark it down as success. Play with macros a bit to help with your hunger. Try more fat and protein. then try more fiberous carbs. you said you eat veggies so you've got low cal fiber with those. Real…
