For starters, I eat less which means I spend less on food! WOOHOO! Cooking things from scratch can save you money and a bonus is not having any of the preservatives that already made foods have. I also make a couple of homemade frozen meals that I can bake when I am too tired to cook or don't want to clean up the mess.
