So glad you are improving while being careful at the same time. As I get older I am taking less chances doing things that are a potential risk. I do not want to have to depend on family and friends to have to take care of me because I made a less-than-smart move. I want to be the one available to help others.

Well, since it's too late to wish you all a happy fourth, let me wish you a happy fifth of July. i had too much to eat today, and tomorrow is my mom's birthday (83rd) so I expect I won't be focusing on healthy eating then either. Family will get together, and that means food. I think it will be one more week before I can…

I find myself falling back into old habits of non-healthy eating and little planned exercise. A couple of days has turned into a couple of weeks. It's time to get a grip on things and not go back to the old me. It's actually time to get on the scale. I've avoided it for quite a while now.

6 items 8 bucks, not a bad deal, my friend, as long as you actually use the items. I almost forgot to login to mfp today, been that busy. But here I am, not giving up despite my snail pace toward goal.

I'm home again. I have two days to clean up and get my house presentable for family coming to visit. So I continue with my excuses for not focusing on exercise and healthy eating. At least, I'm keeping busy.

@2020pinktogo You attract such interesting people

Carrying the baby makes me think about how hard it was for my body before losing 42 lbs. I should try to be even nicer to my body.
-
I have been lifting and squatting with a 17 lb baby. That makes me sore so maybe I'm doing good too.

I've been in Boston a couple of days babysitting my 7-month-old grandson. He's an active little guy. He keeps me so busy I don't even have time to think about eating. I can't imagine what he'll be like when he starts walking.
-
@2020pinktogo I hope you are taking care of yourself because at your rate one day you might not be able to help anyone. Make yourself a priority.
-
@CaptainBoing Boohoo for the flu. But congrats on everything else!
-
@2020pinktogo See, there's a silver lining to everything. Have your sub and enjoy!

Mowed my backyard this afternoon. It's 93º, feels like 104º, but it had to be done. Drank lots of water.

I'm due for one in 2017. Can't wait. Not! On a positive note, I went shopping and bought Medium tops instead of Large. I know sizes aren't what they used to be, but seeing the word "Medium" made me feel like great.

@2020pinktogo You are right, mosquitoes aren't mentioned in the travel brochures. :) And if you ever come to Brownsville, come in February for Charro Days. That's when it's the most fun. You can stay at my mom's house and walk across the bridge to Mexico, only a few blocks away, or take a twenty minute drive to the beach…
-
If you want to keep going, I'll send you my address, and you can come paint my house.

City of Brownsville sent trucks out to spray town during the night to make it a little more bearable. My nephew says he got only a couple of mosquito bites today. I'm still staying inside...watching Ali funeral procession now.

I've given up going for walks outside even though walking is my favorite form of exercise. The many rainstorms we've had lately have resulted in mosquitoes everywhere in Texas. I'm the type that has to scratch when I itch, and mosquitoes love me.

@CaptainBoing I'm an early bird too. I always set my alarm clock but always turn it off before it rings since I'm already up. Best of luck on your dr appt.

@2020pinktogo We finally have a good weather forecast. Today's extra activity will be trimming the crape myrtle trees that are overgrown (they loved the rain) and mowing the front yard. As for painting, maybe I need to train one of my daughters, like your parents have trained you, to do their painting for them. :)…

I never heard of World Oceans Day. I like how Padre Island charges $ for your vehicle to enter the beach and gives you a large trash bag. If on the way out you return the bag filled with trash, you get your $ back.

Today was my nephew's graduation. It was quite a family celebration with lots of food, of course. I enjoyed myself and ate whatever I wanted. It took me a while to log it, but I logged every single thing I put in my mouth...4,000+ calories! I feel like, after a year and two months, I've learned nothing. Why do I go crazy…

21 years ago my sister and I started a competition to see who could create the nicest garden. It's still a tie. Neither one of us has ever put in the time and effort to do something nice and actually create a "garden." Each of us has a large yard, and we do regular yard work, but that's it.

Oops, I hadn't even noticed we're in June already! It's been raining so much in Austin that every day seems just like the previous one, wet!
-
It's been raining so much. Can't wait for clouds to go away and let sunshine come through.

welcome back!

Hi, all! I've gone back to what worked for me, the apple. :) Maybe it'll help me focus on healthy again. My nephew's graduation is this coming Saturday. Although I'm not at the goal I wanted I am going to choose a flattering outfit that will focus on the positive. What else can I do, right?
