  • A twofer for today! My dad called while I was at my writing group meeting and asked me to pick up something sweet. I looked up nearby places and saw that there was a cookie shop about a quarter of a mile away. Since the weather was nice, I figured I'd just walk (NSV #1). Once I was there, I decided to get us one cookie…

  • I decided to make a breakfast bowl with hashbrowns, peppers+onions, scrambled tofu, and tempeh gravy. It was delicious! ^_^
  • It's snowing in my neck of the woods, but I didn't want to break my walking streak, so I did one of the 15-minute videos listed above (the Walk-at-Home with Super Coaches). HOLY CROW, it wore me out! I had a lot of fun though and my streak is still intact! ^_^
  • I had a pretty good non-scale victory today ^_^ After my daily yoga session, I worked on some edits and was feeling really frustrated by the end of the work day. I had almost decided to crash my deficit and eat some of the cookies in the pantry for a 'motivation boost'... but instead I slowed down, thought about how I was…
  • I had a pretty good non-scale victory today ^_^ After my yoga session, I got to work on edits and was feeling really frustrated by the end of the work day. I had almost decided to mess up my deficit and eat some of the cookies in the pantry for a 'motivation boost'... but instead I slowed down, thought about how I was…
  • Congratulations on all fronts! I'll also be treadmilling it up this winter. I have a gym at work, so I'll probably spend my breaks walking and listening to music or podcasts. Jogging is still a ways away for me though :)
  • It's a wonderfully supportive group :) Also, we're doing a New Year yoga challenge!
  • I do! It's one of my favorite poses. Child pose, on the other hand...
  • Goal: 200 lbs SW: 279 LW: 256.2 CW: 256.1 Hi everyone! I had a pretty successful week (though I definitely ate, drank, and was far too merry for New Years) and was able to keep up my at-home yoga practice for 3 days last week. This week, I'm aiming for 5 days, since I felt so much better and my back is already sore again…
  • Glad to be back! Thank you for all your hard work @tinkerbellang83!
  • I had a nice NSV today! My dad had ordered me some new pants for Yule in my old size and I was a bit worried that they would be tight-- but they fit perfectly (and actually feel a little loose)!
  • I hope you feel better soon @tovaryn1!
  • My NSV is that I didn't go over my calories yesterday. Around 8 or 9, I started wanting some snacks (specifically the biscuits or black bean brownies in the fridge) but I sipped on some diet soda instead.
  • @chris_in_cal No one ever went wrong by focusing on the fundamentals :) My dad was a sweetie and picked me up a pecan pie latte on his way home from work, so I had that with some black bean brownies to fight off the mid-afternoon snoozes. I think I'm going to move around a bit (probably just pace the hall, since it's…
  • Goal: 200 lbs SW: 279 LW: 258 CW: 256.2 Merry Christmas and happy Yule, everyone! I'm back, hopefully for good. I'm eating a bunch of yummy food for the holiday, so I don't have high hopes of losing for the final week of 2023. Still, I'm in a good place, mentally and physically, for the new year. I'm aiming to keep that…
  • It's Weigh-in Time! GW: 200 (for now) SW: 280.7 LW: 256.7 TW: 256.2 Variance: -0.5 lbs Overall Lost: -23 lbs Had a pretty good week! My dad and I are getting excited for spooky season, so we put out our decorations yesterday. I've also been taking a lot of time out for self-care and not letting myself get stressed too…
  • That's too bad on it just being a prelim. I'm still looking for a primary doc atm and everything is 6-9 months out right now.
  • It's Weigh-in Time! GW: 200 (for now) SW: 280.7 LW: 254.8 TW: 256.7 Variance: +2.1 lbs Overall Lost: -22 lbs This was just a rough week for me. I was dealing with a lot of stress and emotional issues which absolutely derailed me, even though I thought I was ready for them. I didn't reinforce my healthy habits, drank way…
  • That's awesome! I quit smoking nearly a decade ago and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. Using walking to cope is a great idea. I'd also recommend apple and cucumber slices :)
  • @ikalujny Glad to hear you're starting to feel better! @suejo2144 Thanks! The non-scale/achievement goals have really helped me this time around :) It lets me practice more of a 'results' mindset instead of a 'worth' mindset, which has been a really healthy habit for me during weight loss. Good luck on your goals this week…
  • It's (a slightly late) Weigh-in Time! GW: 200 (for now) SW: 280.7 LW: 255.1 TW: 254.9 Variance: -0.2 lbs Overall Lost: -24 lbs And the results of this week's goals are: - Lose 1 pound this week by focusing on healthy, homemade foods. I didn't make this one. It was a really busy week starting back to school and there were a…
  • It is! :) I'm really liking my classes so far. The posting/reflecting goal was where I would post my daily progress or reflect on weight loss each day in my journal. I had that as one of my goals for the last few weeks, but didn't make a lot of headway with it. So, even though I still like it as a goal, I figured I would…
  • I started back to school yesterday, so the goals are staying pretty simple for this week: - Lose 1 pound this week by focusing on healthy, homemade foods - Hit 3,000 steps 5 days this week - Drink 8 cups of water a day I think I'm going to give up on a 'official' posting/reflecting goal, but try to check in when I can.
  • I appreciate the advice, but keto won't work for me. I've tried it before and it makes my seizures worse. Plus, it would be pretty hard to sustain as a vegan ;)
  • I had a non-scale victory on Friday! It was all-day training for my day job and not only did I turn down pizza but I also went for a walk after lunch.
  • Weigh-in Time! GW: 200 (for now) SW: 280.7 LW: 256.0 TW: 255.1 Variance: -0.9 lbs Overall Lost: -24 lbs And the results of this week's goals are: - Increase my steps to 3,000 steps a day by the end of the week. I will try to use yoga/stretching every other day as a recovery tool, but there won't be a definite time limit…
  • My hit my goals yesterday! I walked 4,638 steps (yay!) and was close to my deficit goal. I also worked through some stuff in my journal about my mindset going into weight loss. :) Also, in addition to going to the art class, I went to the park with the pups and put them on their leads so they could run around, then took…
  • It went really well! I was a bit nervous because it was a new event, but everyone was really supportive and nice so I think I'll definitely have to go again ^_^
