I generally hit the 25-30g mark for breakfast as a vegan and, for me, the main difference between a reg-protein (15-20g) and a high-protein (25-30g) meal is the add-ins, specifically add-ins or sides with extra protein. So, for example I like to add nuts and seeds to oatmeal. I also like to use soy milk and protein powders…

Ramen with thai basil dumplings and the last of my chopped salad with sesame-ginger dressing on the side. It's a pretty high-calorie meal, but ramen with dumplings is one of my favorite foods of all time and I'm thrilled I was able to work it into the calories today! ^_^

Tonight I had a bagged Asian-style chopped salad with wonton strips, crispy tofu, and ginger-sesame dressing. It was so easy and so tasty! I'd been wanting a salad for a few weeks now. I also had some canned peaches with cinnamon and hot tea for dessert.

Yesterday I was feeling a bit sick/nauseous and didn't have anything prepped, so I ate peanut butter banana toast and some low-calorie muffins with hot tea. Today, I'm a little more prepared (but still feeling under the weather) so I'm making some taco soup in the crockpot.

I had Brazilian-style rice with black beans and crispy tofu. Then, for dessert, I had two banana muffins ^_^

I've really been loving this broccoli soup from FOK lately: https://www.forksoverknives.com/recipes/vegan-soups-stews/broccoli-soup/ It's really quick and easy! I usually add nutritional yeast, a little allspice, shredded carrots, and cooked red lentils to make it a bit more filling.

Feel free to stalk mine! I'm a vegan who just started up again with MFP after some time off, so the diary is a little bare at the moment, but I have tons of different recipes on here. If you see any in the diary that you'd like to try, just message me and I'll send you the recipes ^_^ Good luck!

Tonight, I had vegan broccoli-cheeze soup with homemade Italian herb bread. Then, for dessert, I had a small piece of devil's food sheet cake with strawberry icing and peppermint tea. It was delicious!

What worked for me today was eating a little bit of leftover pizza, but having a big bowl of veggie soup along with it. I was full for most of the afternoon, so I think I'll do it again during lunch tomorrow ^_^

I like soy milk for the extra protein :) Almond milk would be tasty too, especially if you're looking for a lower-calorie option

My usual go-to for a high-protein breakfast (as a vegan) is either tofu scramble with pinto-bean 'sausage' patties and some toast+jam. I also like protein pancakes, smoothies, oatmeal (sweet or savory), and toast with peanut butter, bananas, and hemp seeds. I guess the important thing would be, what kind of breakfasts do…

FWIW, I made lasagna for this week and was surprised at how few noodles I used. I was halving it between my dad and I (my half was vegan, his wasn't) and I miscalculated how many noodles I'd need and added about half of the amount I was supposed to, so about 6 lasagna sheets. I'm sure that it helped that I had tons of tofu…

I lost 50 lbs last year and have spent the last seven months basically being in maintenance (up a few, down a few, but basically the same) for health reasons and now I'm starting to get back to active weight loss. When I'm tempted to go back to my old way of eating, that's when I really have to key in on what I want out of…

Hi everyone! I've been having some issues controlling my appetite lately (like, eating a whole pizza and still being hungry kind of appetite) so I'm trying to add more low-calorie bulk to my meals. I've gained a little, so this next week I'm going to bump up my exercise and lower my calories so I can actively start losing…

Got lots of painting and writing done today and spent an hour cleaning my apartment since maintenance folks were coming by. All in all, it's been a pretty solid day :) Breakfast: Coffee and protein pancakes with vegan butter and sugar-free syrup Lunch: Vegan chicken nuggets and two slices of peanut butter toast with a…

I'm still really enjoying the vegetable pancakes, so I made a new batch today. I was even able to convince my dad to try some and he's usually very anti-cabbage lol Other than that, I'm just busy with edits, grammar class, and painting :) Breakfast: Coffee with oat milk, apple juice, and a protein cookie Lunch: Bean and…

Right now I'm obsessed with yachaejeon (Korean vegetable pancakes) They're so tasty and delicious! I've been making a batch a week and eating them with fruit and other snacky foods ^_^

I like fruit, especially during the summer, but sometimes I switch it up with a more protein-heavy snack like tortilla chips with bean dip or roasted edamame or with a sweet like homemade fudgsicles or sweet potato muffins. Don't know if it's useful or not, but I try to do about half of a usual meal's worth of calories for…

@siberiantarragon Thanks! ^_^ Your day sounded pretty tasty too! Especially the snacks, since I have a definite weakness for dark chocolate lol Breakfast: Coffee and a vegan sausage sandwich with kale, tomato, cucumber, and hummus Snack 1: Cantaloupe Lunch: Tacos with spanish quinoa and vegetarian refried beans, and apple…

I really like this one: https://www.elephantasticvegan.com/yeast-free-vegan-pizza-dough/ I usually cut some of the white flour with oat flour to bring down the calories and add about a tbsp of italian seasoning and a bit of garlic powder to it for extra flavor.

Staying on the 'keep it simple' thing so far, and I'm down nearly 2 lbs for the week. Also, I've been looking at my habits and think I have some places where I can 'trigger' mindful activity without disrupting my day, so I'll be trying that going into next week. Breakfast: Coffee and a green smoothie Snack 1: Cantaloupe…

Morning everyone! The scale hasn't been budging for a while now, so I'm back to the basics today :) The main thing I'm aiming for is to make the bag of shredded lettuce in my fridge the focus of my meals so I can finish it by the end of the week. I'm also going to be focusing on moving a bit more and building up my…

Aw, thanks @Kateskate123 :) I really appreciate that. Also, that salad sounds really good! I'll have to noodle on some ways to veganize it ^_^ Today was a pretty busy errand day, so I'm making a dump-n-bake casserole. Tomorrow, I'll do a bit of meal prepping, so takeout won't be quite so tempting this weekend lol…

Had a bit of a NSV yesterday because I had the keys in my hand and shoes on to go get some fast food and I stopped myself, ate some soup and a sandwich, and felt satisfied. Yesterday Breakfast: Coffee and two breakfast burritos Lunch: Spicy ramen and a vegan ham sandwich Dinner: Potato soup and a peanut butter sandwich…

Hi all! Been staying busy lately and today was no different. I spent the day plotting out my next book, starting a structural grammar course, and taking care of my dad, who has a pretty severe sinus infection. I'm pretty proud of my food and activity choices, but I am about six kinds of tired this evening! Hopefully, I'll…

Hey everyone! Summer started and I went off-plan for a while. I'm getting back on track, but a sinus infection has had me a bit down for the past few days and I've been reaching for convenient food instead of prepping my usual stuff. Breakfast: Coffee and a green smoothie Lunch: Spicy ramen with vegan Korean BBQ dumplings…
