  • Today's goal: Drink lots of water. Hit 10,000 steps.
  • Welcome! I can relate to a lot of your story. Binge eating can be so isolating because it makes us not want to be seen. The shame is unbearable. Please utilize this space when you need to vent!

  • Today's goal: IF I get out super early from my internship today (have a weird feeling I will) then go to the gym for a few minutes
  • That's awesome you haven't had a full blown binge. Zombella I hope tomorrow is better for you. Despite an anxious start, I had a fantastic day. Had five meetings and my internship. Feeling really motivated. It's crunch time and the next few weeks will be crazy.
  • Yeah, I have been writing it down. I don't know why I get so nervous. Maybe it's because I'm the only person who is not technically staff, and therefore I see myself as lower and incompetent? Not sure. But today's meeting went extremely well. In fact, it was the best staff meeting at this internship that I've ever had…
  • Awesome about the walking, not so awesome about your neighbor! I hope that today goes better for you. I'm feeling extremely anxious today, which seems to be a regular occurrence on Monday's. On Mondays I attend weekly staff meetings at one of my internships, and I dread it so much. We always have to go around the table and…
  • For today: - Drink more water - Don't binge after internship and meeting
  • My goals for today: - Drink more water - Achieve 10,000 steps (including exercise) - Consume at least 1,000 calories
  • Danielle I'm glad you updated us! Definitely take some time off from exercise and try to recover and relax. For now, are you just running for fun? Or are you training for something else?

  • This whole thing makes me incredibly happy! I'm so glad that you've found something that's working so well for you!
  • I'll be curious to know how this goes for you, and whether the bingeing will reduce once you stop trying to lose weight. What does BDD stand for? Body dismorphoc disorder, or something else?
  • Jacki, have you ever thought tried not weighing yourself? It sounds like it may trigger binges for you. It does the same for me, but I can't seem to break up with it. I wonder if that would be worth experimenting with.
  • I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. Nothing ever prepares us for that sort of thing. But I'm glad to hear that you are motivated to overcome your disorder. Take care of yourself during this time! And thanks coocoopuff! Yesterday turned out better than I expected. I did exceed 4000 calories but I did not binge. I did…
  • Just kidding, I just ate my lunch. Therefore I will be eating a second lunch at the staff lunch in an hour and a half. Great.
  • I think today is gonna be a tough day. I woke up super anxious, and packed all of my meals for the day. I have plans for a friend to come over who has been nagging me to make her a tart, so there’s that and I have an issue with anticipatory bingeing. Then to top it off I showed up at my internship and they told me we have…
  • I like doughnuts?
  • Getting started on a large box of twelve doughnuts, pint of ice cream, and lots of chocolate
  • That's great! I'm feeling kind of bingey today. I've been eating more than usual by this time and just don't feel satisfied. In an hour I have to leave for an appointment so I'm gonna try to take it minute by minute. The urge isn't very strong but this is often how it starts.
  • Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. Take care of yourself!
  • I would love to hear a post-marathon check in from @daniellethesheep!
  • That's such a bummer. I hate breaking in new shoes.
  • Oh man, that sucks. Is your family gone now? Do you think that once they leave, things will settle down a bit?
  • That sounds like a victory to me, peanut butter is SO hard to stop eating! I have taken a break from the scale before, but I always end up bingeing nonstop. I feel like it keeps me somewhat accountable. I know I'm going to have to break up with it soon though, because it's an unhealthy relationship and it definitely…
  • Last night I ended up bingeing again. Could have been worse, came in around 4000 calories. The crazy thing is my weight was DOWN this morning. It's so rare that that happens and it's nice in that I am less likely to binge when I see the number, but sometimes it causes me to justify bingeing again. I'm sure it'll show up on…
  • They all look like you, but I see it the most in your youngest daughter!
  • No problem! That's just my experience though, it might vary from person to person. But based off of what you said, it would make sense if you rate higher on those quizzes as a compulsive overeater versus a binge eater. There can definitely be overlap as well!
  • I just binged and noticed that I definitely eat a LOT faster than when I am overeating. When I binge, I shovel food in my face. Sometimes I eat so fast that stuff gets lodged in my throat -like peanut butter- and I just eat more to push it down. And I do gruesome things that are very shameful, like disgusting food…
  • You have such a beautiful family, and you all look so happy! I'm glad you had such a great time. Your youngest daughter looks just like you, by the way. I'm sure you hear that constantly.
  • Ugh I just binged too. It was very short though, lasted under ten minutes and had about 2,000 calories during that time. I'm really annoyed with myself. I'm glad it was on the smaller side and that it was short but I had such a great day. It was definitely out of boredom and loneliness. My husband went to the park and said…
