  • I'm sorry that you had such a bad day. Stress definitely seems to be the common thread in all of this. I was really craving peanut butter today too. In fact, I ate some of my roommates which I am not proud of. He is out of town so tomorrow I will buy some to replace it. I didn't have too much just in case he randomly…
  • I had another episode but it was relatively small. Thankfully I didn't have much at home and I didn't buy much from the store. I'll log everything in MFP tomorrow but considering how much I wanted to binge today, I would say overall it was a win. I probably came in around 3000 calories or a little lower. My goal will be to…
  • I wish I had good suggestions but apparently eating is actually my main stress reliever haha. But years ago i went through a major Tetris phase where I had one of those handheld Tetris games, and I could not put it down. I feel like that could potentially help me again but I swear I became addicted to it! My ex always…
  • It's fine with me if you slap me with a fish, but ideally you would grill it first! If not, no worries. I love sashimi!
  • Whoever comes your house and does that to you should make a pit stop and stop by my place and do the same to me. I had a very mini binge but can feel the urge escalating. Gonna try to take control since it's only 2:15.
  • Hahahha does it have to be a human toe? I do love chicken feet!
  • Didn't read anything above this post but I'm feeling bingey so this is my attempt to write before I bite
  • I really hope I didn't jinx myself. I just really want this cycle to end.
  • I haven't binged since Friday, which is a huge feat. My bingeing tends to come and go in cycles. An on cycle involves bingeing almost daily, and an off cycle usually consists of one to toe binges a week. Usually my on cycle doesn't last for more than three months, and i, about a week over the three month mark. Not sure if…
  • I do that too!
  • The main thing is you've had a great week so far, so focus on that more than this one episode. Also...chocolate blueberries?! Apparently I haven't been living. I didn't even know those existed.
  • One pound is awesome, congrats!!!

  • Thank you! Congratulations, five days binge free is incredible! You can definitely conquer the grocery store.
  • The last two days have gone well for me. Not logging my food and adding a lot of fruit has made a big difference. I had developed a fear of fruits and veggies because of the carbs, so not logging on the day of makes me feel not so bad. Plus, then if I exceed calories I'm less likely to binge. I have not exceeded my…
  • OH! Thanks for clearing that up, I've been trying to figure out the acronym forever!
  • That's amazing, congrats! So I know what NSV means, but what does it actually stand for?!
  • What is the dining plan? It allows you to eat at certain places for a certain amount, or what? I'm sure you will do great. Maybe you can look into menus in advance and preplan?
  • Just realized I posted this in the wrong thread yesterday. 3/20/16: Up 4.3 "real" pounds from last Saturday according to Happy Scale. Actual weight is up almost 9 pounds. Things are not going well for me. My goals for this week are: - keep weighing and logging foods in my food journal, but NOT on MFP until the following…

  • Yay so happy to hear that! You have been in a lot of social situations lately which might normally trigger a binge in which you ended up not bingeing. Congratulations!
  • This is amazing! Those are pretty much my long term goals: to listen to my body and eat when hungry, and to eat what I want when I want (based off of physical cues, not "I want doughnuts because I think I shouldn't). I'm excited that this is going so well for you. Please keep us posted about this, I am very interested and…
  • This is very encouraging, thank you. Please do report back and let us know how it goes! I've decided not to log my food on MFP until the following day. If that doesn't help, I may stop logging all together. But I think for now I will continue weighing and writing my food in a journal. We will see how it goes!
  • Weigh in: up 4.3 "real" weight from last Saturday according to Happy Scale. Actual weight is up almost 9 pounds. Things are not going well for me. My goals for this week are: - keep weighing and logging foods in my food journal, but NOT on MFP until the following day (like that if I go over my calories it doesn't trigger a…
  • Great advice and thanks for sharing. I think I might as well give it a shot, I have nothing to lose. I'll probably start tomorrow.
  • Love this. I just started reading a book on bingeing and this sentence is really striking to me and supports many of the points you made: "it's impossible to binge if you refuse to yell at yourself."

  • I will definitely keep weighing and journaling my food. I just won't log it on MFP and won't calculate the calories. This is pretty much what I did for years until I started MFP about a year ago, and although I did binge sometimes it wasn't like how it is now. I'm thinking of doing a one week trial starting tomorrow. I can…
  • Hahah sounds about right! A miracle happened: I fell asleep for a few hours. I'm so glad. That may have aborted a binge. But I have a horrible headache and have for the last few days. I rarely get headaches, but now I get them frequently especially post binge. I think it might be the sugar.
  • Hahhahah! But now I'm thinking about delicious advent calendars...
  • I'm tempted to just finish out the week with a bang since its been consistently pretty bad. I'm considering starting with another cheesecake
  • Haha! I should have explained it better, "my eating week" doesn't really make any sense whatsoever.
