This is what I keep at my desk in a drawer: Trail mix (2 different kinds one sweet one spicy) Popchips (100 calorie bags) instant oatmeal (120-160 calories depending on flavor) instant grits (100 calories) Nutrigrain bars (120 cal) Protein Bars (I like Pure Protein 180-200 cal and MyBar 220 cal) PBFit to mix with water for…

why couldn't you just eat after 4? I don't eat until between 1-2 pm because I'm not hungry before then. I don't like eating "breakfast". Sometimes I don't eat until dinner. I've lost 110lbs at a rate of 1lb a week on average. As long as you pre-plan and make sure you're getting adequate nutrition you could just eat after…

I stop eating after dinner. I have "afternoon snacks" from 1pm - 4pm while I'm at work, I'm not hungry in the AM so I don't eat until I am. Large dinner around 7-8pm. If I plan on having cottage cheese or a piece of chocolate for dessert I eat it right after dinner, I eat less because I've just had dinner but still feel…

I considered getting one of those as well. But I hadn't heard of anyone else using one. I walk in place a lot while I wait for things. Filling my water bottle and the cooler. take some steps in place. cooking or heating things up, walk in place. Waiting for the kettle to boil, take some steps. Waiting for my dogs to come…

I'm glad that your dog is well cared for and loved. I know the frustration that comes with a dog that is anxious. One of my dogs is constantly anxious and alert. Part of it is that he was abused before I rescued him. But even now almost 3 years later he is just an anxious little guy that barks at new people and warms up…

Yes, sorry. I just saw this. 1g = 1 serving total weight 1000 g = 1000 servings, etc etc.

same!

There's a button that says "quote" at the bottom of each post or you can type @ before someone's username like @monicajogi80 and then it will tag them basically.

when I make rice. with nothing added. I weigh the raw rice weight so if I'm making 5 servings weigh out 5 servings. and then weigh the total rice cooked and divide by 5 for the cooked weight per serving. But I log the RAW rice weight, not the cooked.

For things that mix well: curry, stew etc. I weigh out the raw ingredients and load that into the recipe builder. When I'm done cooking I weight the total amount in grams (say 1000 grams for all of it) and then make the number of servings in the recipes equal to that total weight so 1000 grams, then you can weigh out how…

I use HelloFresh, not every week but if I know that I have a hard week coming up with work or if I know I'll be especially busy I'll hop on and check out the menu and get a box delivered. Sometimes I do it if I just get sick of going to the grocery store. There are weeks that my time is more precious to me than spending…

lololol my dinners are anywhere from 800-1200 calories of my day and I've lost 110 lbs. Lose the weight and prove them wrong. You got this!

MFP calorie allowances are basically just statistical averages based on the "norm" for people your same height and weight. If you want to slow down your loss try adding calories to your allotment until your weight loss slows down to the desired rate. If you're losing 1.5 lbs a week and want to lose 1 lb add 250 calories a…

I guess I haven't noticed it much. When I was junior/senior in high school 10 years ago I weighed almost exactly what I weight now and wore the exact same sizes that I wear right now. 170 and an 8/10. Across multiple brands, stores, cuts, many of them the same as I wore back then (I still own some of the pants from before…

definitely this. If I know the weight of the chicken or food before I cooked it I always log the raw weight under the raw entry for example "chicken breast, boneless skinless, raw"

every morning and night. I like data. I like to see what certain food choices do to my weight at the end of the day. and I like to see on average how much my weight moves over night (currently 2-4 lbs is the norm) Like I said, I like data so I track it using a spreadsheet and a trending app and don't let the fluctuations…

I make rice weekly because we eat it with nearly every single meal since my SO is gluten free but we still like to have a moderate carb intake. So I weigh my dry rice amount to know the number of servings (usually 10) that I'm cooking and then I add my water and cook in the rice cooker. When it's done I weigh the total…

I've lost 110 lbs. Still track my food 99% of the time. Anyone can add me if they're looking for support!

I started almost 3 years ago at 280. I now weight 170. I mean, if you think it will work for you then you should try it. From my outside, complete internet stranger perspective. It seems like you might be overcomplicating it. But like I said. I'm an internet stranger I don't know you, you know you. If you think going low…

Any one can add me. I'm all about trying to support everyone's success. I started almost 3 years ago. Have lost 110 lbs and have logged in for over 560 days straight.

My guess is if they've seen photos of you and Facetimed with you they aren't that concerned about it. And if a guy is concerned about it and cares about your weight then he's probably not worth your time. I lost weight for me. I would hope my SO would still want to be with me whether I'm 130 lbs 170 lbs or 280 lbs where I…

I personally would order what you want and if you want to try to track it try to find something similar in the database. I usually pick the highest calorie amount of the closest thing similar to what I ate. Last year when I started dating more I didn't really discuss my weightloss much. I obviously ended up talking about…

I actually find my FitBit to be fairly accurate. I can understand the hesitation to trust it. I got mine almost a year ago and had been set to sedentary on MFP because I do work a desk job. Come to find out just my "sedentary desk job" got me enough steps to be moved to lightly active and add on top of that taking my dog…

This. I set the containing on the scale. take out what I want. it read the -g that I took out. done.

I've done HelloFresh over the past 6-7 months, not every week but the weeks when I don't want to take the time to meal plan and go grocery shopping I hop on and set up my delivery for the next week that saves me a few hours of my week and I would rather pay more and have my time than spend it grocery shopping. Most things…

I think everyone wants weight loss to be faster. But wouldn't you rather spend 6 months developing healthy and sustainable habits to be able to maintain your goal weight once you are there? As opposed to overly restricting during a short time frame and then looking at the journey as completed and returning to your current…

As much as I used to love to run, it is not conducive at all to me losing weight. I get serious runger and can easily eat over my maintenance after running. Ultimately I couldn't find a way of eating that satisfied that. I tried delaying and drinking water to ensure it wasn't dehydration, tried higher carb, lower carb,…
