Thanks. That's what I'm thinking. It's okay to lose a bit more and not a panic to gain a few back as long as I stay under or within my goal.

monicarungood, I'm thinking about maintenance now, even though I'm still 2 pounds from my goal. I wonder how I'll be able to eat more and still stay at that weight. Eat more, because right now, I'm eating for a person who weighs my goal weight but does nothing but lay in bed all day. 12x125. I'll be a moving, walking,…

S_Evanson613, I get annoyed when my husband and daughter want to order more food at Pizza Hut, say. 2 pieces of pizza is a good enough portion (a bit high even) without adding breadsticks or the dessert chocolate sticks with icing. If they order it for THEM it's really tempting and kind of demoralizing to me. But then they…

So far, I've had brown and brown. Hmmm. I know what dinner will be. So, breakfast (because I forgot I was out of cereal) was light brown (3 little donuts) and white (milk). Lunch is my Boost shake, so a bit darker brown. I had a brown snack (chocolate chip cookie). I still have a dark brown/nearly black snack and one…

I wish my husband would make more processed meals. Well, not totally. But they are so much easier to put in my diary. Otherwise I have to list every ingredient and guess how much of it I ended up eating out of the meal.

Takes money. Can't do that at this time.

My coworkers notice. The family who lives with me, less so, for that reason that it's gradual and they see me all the time. It's why we don't notice our kids grew up behind our backs. We look back at a picture of them 4 years ago and think, "My gosh! They were so little!". I kind of miss the little girl my daughter was.…

For me, it's seeing the downward slope in the long view in the weight report. Makes all the fluctuations seem less important, even if I've gone up half a pound on a day. Like someone else said, it's a roller coaster. Stay on it! And wearing my clothes again. I didn't buy a lot of big clothes. I had all these size 6's and…

Still learning Swedish!

I asked my chiropractor about it (I had an appt today). She said it would burn extra calories but, women especially need weight-bearing exercise so standing up is preferable to sitting down, even on a stationary bike. Also she thinks it would be difficult to multitask and keep pedaling at any speed while doing work. But…

I've seen one at Aldi. Been considering it. I can get up, but I could work legs some more is my thought.

I did Saturday. Tried stuffed clams. I don't know that I'll have an opportunity for this today. I did just try a canolli for the first time, but I wasn't afraid of that at all.

I went to bed around 12 instead of after 1am...or 2am. So I did met this challenge.

I read a book to get sleepy. The book has to be special: equal parts fascinating (so I'll want to read it) and academic (so it gets me good and yawny). I generally read history books. I love history but the more academic, the more boring they are. (I also use melatonin)

I probably will do this. I didn't do it last night, that's for sure. So I'll be tired tonight.

PS. If you use Duolingo, please friend me. gperson at kc dot rr dot com

Ha! I've been learning Swedish! I downloaded DuoLingo and started brushing up on my French and German. But I accidentally added Swedish. And since you can'd delete it, I started learning it! Presently on Level 5.

Mine seems to do fine knowing when I'm up or asleep. If I get up in the middle of the night and go back to bed, it counts it as restless or awake. I sometimes forget to tell it I've woken up in the morning (but I always note the time). So I just edit it back to the right time and it looks pretty accurate.

In 2004, I lost 30 pounds in 7 months. Nice and slow. Kept it off for awhile. But it was too low of a weight for my sedentary lifestyle here in the US. It was perfect for living in the mountain town of Teplice in the Czech Republic when I was teaching English there after college. Effortless 110lbs. Not effortless here in…

Sorry, hadn't been in the Community section for awhile. I did go get the ice cream, with my daughter. And I did stay in my budget and didn't gain weight for it. I just think sometimes we can eat emotionally if it's not a continuous problem. It probably wouldn't have been ice cream if it wasn't for Sonic's promotion. I…

We recently had a storm knock out our power. Last week. It was out just under 24 hours. We had coolers at hand. We had candles at the ready. Lights came back on just before dark. Most of our fridge products survived. Cats and people were all fine, if a bit warm.

I do now have a badge and can use the gym again. I just usually don't get to take an hour for lunch anymore (lots of make-up time for other things eat my lunch breaks). So I take smaller breaks and walk around my floor. Each figure-8 gets me about 250 steps. So that's working. I do have a blu-Ray player here so I can do…

I use a Flex. I mostly just walk, though sometimes quite fast. It works for me. That little buzz at 10k steps is a motivating thing for me. So are the challenges. You'll get those things with any Fitbit, I think. So, it's more what you want or what activities you do. Flex doesn't seem to know anything about elevation as…

When I use the treadmill, I try to hold on with just one hand when I need to hold on. I keep my Fitbit arm free. That seems to work better with the step count.

Okay, but for dinner I'm going to have 0 calorie flavored water. Oh, wait. I already had milk for breakfast. Guess I lost this one.

I think we're in for HyVee fried chicken Tuesday.

My job had me up and moving today. Tomorrow, too, probably.

I took a nearly 3 hour nap after an exhausting camping weekend in the heat.

Hmmm don't know if I can do them without electricity. Lost ours in the storm late last night. Could be days before we get it back.
