Well, I guess you will be looking back at me from the other side of 40 after all! B) Have a Great Birthday! What better present than that little green bear. You're setting an awesome example for all the ladies (and men) out there. Keep up the good great work!

Welcome Tiphanie. Just follow your uncle's lead and you should do great!

Suzi and Flo - I am trying to lose weight and you are giving me a big head! B) Seriously though, I feel like I've been pretty successful so far and hope sharing my experiences can help others. I've also grown quite a bit over the past three months and the advice I give today is somewhat different from the advice I would…

Hi Tracey and Jennifer!
-
OK - Full disclosure. This was a good "practice for maintenance" week. Without getting too deep into exactly what I ate/drank, we had a lot going on this past week. Last Friday, we went to see a band and Swati and I made a stop at our favorite Irish pub afterwards. Granted that was before last week's weigh-in but it was…

I've fallen off the wagon a few times over the past 3 months but have always compensated afterwards (and sometimes before when I knew I would be eating off program). The trick in my opinion is not to make it a habit. A few other things you might want to consider: When you place your order, get more breakfast and lunch…

Great job ladies!

The Rangers haven't won yet. As far as comments, I am so used to it. Swati and my son are both huge Dallas Cowboys fans and I am a Giants fan. We actually drove down to Texas a few years ago for the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game. I even got to play on the field with my son for a while the following day. I just took a look…

Your poor Bruins and Red Sox. At least your football team won the Super Bowl! And they did it without cheating - Oh wait..... B) As good as Brady is (cheating or not), he still hasn't figured out how to beat my team in the Super Bowl so all is good. B)

I noticed there are a lot of Newbies (both to the group and NS in general) so I wanted to bump this thread for those who would like to introduce themselves. Please feel free to do so.

Hi Tia, This is a great group of people and I am sure you will find plenty of support to help you in your journey. B)

Not specific to weight loss - although the "running" part may apply. This quote from Christopher McDougall has been my favorite motivational thought for more than 15 years.

That's awesome. Congrats!

OK - I can't help myself. This is the PIC OF THE DAY for me! I don't even need to workout tomorrow - I was sweating for the past 3 1/2 hours. :) Let's Go Rangers!!!!!!!!!!!!! B)

0.4 is almost half a pound - nothing wrong with that. We all have slow weeks. Shie1 had a huge week two weeks ago and then lost just a little bit this week. I was flat this week and my wife had a small gain but we are both seeing transformations in our bodies and are becoming more toned and muscular. At the very beginning,…

I know I posted this before but I don't think it was in this thread. NS Smooth Vanilla Shake Mix + Powerade Zero Orange = Delicious Orange Creamsicle Recovery Drink

Great post. It's funny as we were just talking about all the faith in this group. I grew up Catholic but lost my way for many years. I was trying to follow my plan rather than God's. Looking back, there were so many points during my life where I was given the opportunity to get back on the right path but I simply…

Hello All, Is there any way to make the Chocolate Frosted Donut better? I've tried so many foods on NS already and even enjoyed foods that I normally wouldn't eat but found the donut to be the worst thing by far. The reviews were pretty bad and I should have trusted them. When Swati asked me to describe the taste, the only…

It really is awesome - even Swati loves it and she was not a big fan of the original. Plus the x3 workouts are only 30 minutes each and there is a wider variety so its not as long and boring. It definitely helps that you are familiar with P90x as Tony does not spend as much time on instruction. Also, the warmups and cool…

Nice job to both of you! Holy smokes..100 push-ups? That is incredible!![/quote] Hi Randy, Just to clarify - they were not in a row. We were doing one of the P90x3 dvd's called The Challenge. You are supposed to pick a number in your head for pull-ups and push-ups. My number was 12 for each but you can chose different…

Nice Randy!

Good Morning All. I just weighed in when I could have just copied my number from last week - exactly the same! I'm actually very happy because I weigh regularly and I was tracking for a gain all week. I am definitely increasing my muscle mass in all the right places and really started seeing (visually) the results this…

It sounds like plenty to me. Don't forget that the plan is designed to lose 1-2 lbs per week. The guys tend to lose a little more but I'm guessing that is due to muscle growth resulting in a sped up metabolism (I'm no expert but it makes sense to me). I've been losing at a nice rate but am possibly looking at a small gain…

I was feeling great this morning and decided to do a second workout (45 minutes of cardio). For some reason, it made me think of a motivational video I saw years ago. If you haven't seen the 212 degree video, here it is. Please note that you will need to click on the Watch on YouTube link. https://youtu.be/PDGrbR2MfCo

Excellent!

Hi All, I just wanted to give you a heads-up that instead of these daily pages, I set up a single thread where anyone that wants to share their results can do so. The title of the thread is WEIGH-IN RESULTS. - Michael

Wow Kevin - And just about 10% left to GOal! Congrats!
