Roger - good thoughts about the printer. Only issues - what do I do when I need a fax? go somewhere and pay? I've intermittently used that feature. The other issue is DH is a woodcarver and fly tyer. He shares the printer from his laptop and wants colored pics when he prints. Guessing we can route his printing to the…

Val - good looking family!

For sure not NS related, at all. I need a new all in one printer that includes a fax. I've gotten Epsom the last few times and love it until the printer heads go out - then it needs replacement. I don't need a photo printer, I have a Canon printer dedicated for that purpose. I started looking at good reviews - printers run…

Hi all - been mia for a while - just like Pudge, who hopefully will pop back in. Finally got to go fishing and had a blast. Caught 75 - 100 bluegills - none of them keepers - by 3 pm DH was measuring to see if they were - long enuf, but each fillet would have been a skimpy inch - but oh what fun. Throw in, pull out a fish!…

hi all - haven't posted recently as MFP logged me out - been reading tho. Happy 4th! Be good and nibble, then get back on program! Anyone see the new NuMi Balance program NS is offering for $100 a month. Seems like dinners on your own - you get breakfast, lunch and snacks - you get to choose shelf stable presorted choices,…

fishing was a bust - we caught maybe 6 - came home by 2 - shortest fishing day ever - really boring - beautiful, but boring. A lot of work since we've gotten older - and I wasn't feeling well - really having problems with breathing and sun seems to make it worse. Not a lot of help loading and unloading the boat. Wonder…

Hi all - had my annual mammo this morning - was at "work" earlier than normal and finished prior to my normal 8 am start time - so went up to my old desk and waited for my replacement to show up - thought I'd bust her humps. When she saw me, she told me I was welcome to stay and she'd go home. One of the docs asked if I…

Big storms here last night - so big, DH was thinking of herding us into the bathroom. Said if we were more prone to this bad weather, he'd have a storm cellar built in the back yard. That was a surprise. Went to bed at 5 after the last big one came thru - protecting my frightened 13 year old pup, who's gunshy and afraid of…

just lost a long post - grrrrr. PUDGE - Happy Birthday this Thursday - hope you're reading. We miss your frequent words of wisdom. Roger - I take it you're not a dad? Hope you enjoyed your Sunday anyway. I'm always impressed with the info you share and frequently agree with your opinions too. I was really impressed by my…

Susan - ditto!

Sue - welcome to onderland! You go Girl! I found when I ate every 3 hrs the wt just fell off - the trick is fitting the eating in on time. I need to find the tape conversion tool I bought from Vermont Country Store and figure it out. I have an external hard drive so think audio would be safe there. Just takes time and…

Hi all - been mia lately - busy, unfocused. Finally thought it thru - NS worked so very well for me as all I had to do was grab and go - little cooking, little planning, no brick walls. Although the plans I've been following also work if I stick with them, they're not as easy overall. Involve cooking and planning. I know…

Go Cavs! Yeah, we won!
-
Roger - good idea about walking home - you go guy! No fishing again - gorgeous, but really windy day and cold this morning. Trying again tomorrow, then car gets unpacked as we start the week with valeted appts. Here's hoping we finally get to go and enjoy the lake.

Lisa - enjoy your train ride. We took one from CLE to NYC way back when - interesting. Then we took a steam train from OH to Pittsburgh - also fun, but messy - coal in our hair - and slow - heat kept shutting down sensors on track and train had to stop and start. Lesa - kratz on abscess finally being on the mend! Roger -…

Wow - contradictory posts certainly confuse things - don't they? Mary Gregg was/is? the head dietician at NS - so I'd listen to her. When I was on the Ornish Heart Reversal Diet - we weren't allowed caffeine. Water is always the best choice, but it gets boring. Buttons - I started golfing when I was 18 in 1968. I was a…

Hi all - Sue - scary indeed! Glad you're all OK. My BFF lives in Dallas -thankfully her son moved from Houston to Dallas. We got a brief downpour after I came home from golf, but gone now. Lesa - will pray you don't need debridement surgery - but you know if it makes it go away it's necessary. Golfed 7 holes out of 9. Lost…

Sue - are you in TX? That weather is super scary! Roger - I love my color, but print B&W if possible as ink is so pricey. Unsure about the odd $ amt, can't remember who posted or I'd ask. A real shame about NS computer presence. Yup - without a scale, I also am feeling lost. Just haven't gotten around to making another…

Managed to break my auto feeder on my printer while scanning books I only wanted a few pages from. Pressed down on the wrong corner while trying to flatten a book and the pin broke. It's all OK - printer needs replacement anyway - print heads are shot and can't be repaired. Always something!
-
Wow - you're all doing so well program wise. Keep on keepin on! Lesa - big hug from me too. Huge bummer - but nothing to sluff off! We went to the garden store today - bought veggies, herbs and flowers. Still need more flowers, but want to see if we can find seed geraniums at a dollar vs four! And cosmos aren't available…

Haven't looked at Numi - don't wanna! Not doing NS so maybe I'll never have to! NS administration has always driven me nuts - sudden price changes, misquoted promises, knee jerk reactions, changing formats - yuk! Roger - not surprised at all on insurance cd delay. Government had our MC cards to us in January - we turned 65…

Lesa - sorry about the MRSA - get well soon! So Scary! so happy about the boytoy! 5mates - unfortunately, it was a thinner scale we replaced. That scale worked well for years and then didn't. This time we went for form, not function I guess - got a bamboo one - will be buying another I guess. Nene - you mentioned the cals…

Hi all - actually weighed myself this morning only to find our new scale is wacky! 3 different weighings = 3 different wts - good news is all 3 are not in the higher digits I've been seeing. Thinking they'll weigh me prior to my colonoscopy tomorrow, if not, I'm sure I can request it so I know where I'm at. Right now looks…

Not trying to shake things up - just a suggestion. Another NS thread moved here then ended up on the other boards. This also works for me.

Pudge - that was me in my 40s - my perkier years! That photo cost me $450 - it was for a video dating service - which resulted in one date, period. At least the photo is good~ Do you like the clever way I hid my multiple chins? Roger - have you considered moving this thread to pro boards - pro boards mimic NS boards pretty…

Roger - do you have a local historical society near by? They would be interested in gene stuff. Your local library may also be interested. Pudge - thanks for your quote - always love your quotes. I love ancestry, right now don't have a subscription. Pulled some wrong, bad info off ancestry trees, that's why I have to start…

Lesa - isn't the right size lunch sack the greatest. Since I retired, I no longer need mine - kinda miss them some days! Happy Mother's day moms. My sons took us to breakfast this morning for mom's day and my bd. Gave me a 2 TB external hard drive as a gift. DH got me new gene software, Roots Magic 7, family atlas and…

Thanks ladies for sharing your struggles - my heart goes out to each of you and the pain you've felt and probably still occasionally recall. We're here to help each other, any way needed. Bev - excellent letter!
-
lesa - that's almost scarier to me than what I'm dealing with. My BP goes really low at times - 93/46 recently - but thankfully no similar problems. Hope they can normalize you soon! Have a coffee and dessert meeting in 1/2 hr so must be on my way - hope to stop and buy a patio umbrella on the way home. Can't tary cause my…

Roger and 5mates - thanks for your concern. I've gone 9 years with a new aortic valve, which unfortunately is failing again. 2nd repair is 2-4 yrs off - hopefully. Last time I was turning grey when my heart failed - friends told me later. I live to complain another day x 9 yrs thanks to the surgical miracles they can do…
