Vix, my mother is much better - still some mending to do, but she's home and much happier to be in her own bed and chair! The gardens sound so beautiful - even being able to just stroll through and see everything! It sounds like a wonderful trip!
-
That sounds like a lovely way to spend the day, Joanne, at least the later half!
-
Vix- Philly sounds fun! What do you like to do there? Roger- You're making my mouth water! Sounds good! Joanne-Glad you like your haircut! It always feels good to look nice and to freshen up our look sometimes! Beautiful day here! 70' Spent much of it at hospital with my mother who had an emergency visit for a bowel…

Yippee!! Way to go, girl!!!

Wow! Nice lamp, Vix! I got kind of off track yesterday and today. I'm looking for a new day tomorrow, back on track, and getting that scale to drop! No more considering other food options for now because then I don't keep it to small, sensible helpings. :(

Sorry, Joanne, about the cysts. Hope the specialist says it's nothing to worry about or can take care of them easily. Hope Vinny's injections solve his diabetes quickly - good news that it's manageable!
-
Vix - So glad there's some relief for your neck pain! Maybe the other neck pain is a result of the position you were holding when dealing with the worse pain before? Hope so, because then it will go away soon.

Hi, all! Missed most of the party because I spent yesterday evening bringing hubby in to have his knee surgery checked. His calf was quite swollen and with the nursing students here for their party, our son took a look and said something like '#2 edema with pitting'; pretty soon several other nursing students crowded…

So great to lose the inches! Great job, Sue!

Vix, let me know how the yoga goes when you try it. I've thought about trying out some of the positions to build strength and muscle but haven't done it yet.
-
Oh! I'm sorry to hear that, Joanne! I hope you can pass it without too much trouble and avoid surgery! Rainy today and hard to get motivated. One of our sons is having a year end party for his nursing cohort at our house tomorrow night - tents in the back yard, bonfire, volleyball, frisbees and so on, so I'll get some…

Yay, Val! Way to keep your head above the fray and have victory!

I'm glad you asked what everyone was using for tracking! I was wondering, too. I've only been using the NS site for ordering and entering weight now and then. Glad to hear that's okay. Do we have to move weight tracking to NuMi or can we continue to just use the old NS site?
-
You can! And we'll all be watching, cheering you on and right behind you!
-
Thanks, Joanne! Surgery went well and he's now home recovering. It was a long few days, driving to and from the hospital (an hour each way) for visits, but it got me moving!
-
Vix, I hope you found some helpful info! Have you tried the yoga sessions?
-
Not sure if it's 'legal', but I find that an early morning SC and PF are easier to get down (slice of ww toast and 1T of peanut butter) and then move to my breakfast a little later in the morning. I don't like sweet food right away in the morning.
-
I agree! Eating larger meals earlier seems to make sense! For me, it does especially because I really dislike sweet breakfasts! Eating a meal instead and the sweet breakfast in the evening would be more appealing for me.
-
Thanks, eku0! Now I'll feel like I have to report back with success at following through! :)
-
Sounds good, Patty! I'll have to try that!

Moving...that's what I really need to do! I have a job that eats up at least 10 hours a day (from home) and it's easy to not move. Gotta get out of this rut! My husband is getting knee replacement surgery tomorrow so I'll be pushing his wheelchair in but then sitting in the waiting room, worried to walk too much in case…

I'm sorry, ladies, for your sadness and share your loneliness in a different way - after 40 years (this month) I've seen some possible dementia or something going on the last few years - really cruel comments and name-calling, inappropriate things said while socializing, an inability to follow conversations, and memory…
-
Well said!

Joanne-Other than periodic times on the treadmill, I'm terrible at formal exercise so have always gotten my exercise in other ways. This extra weight means it's so much harder to move around doing all of those around the house and yard things I always enjoyed. That's why I enjoyed reading about all of your activity! I need…

I get the 'Totally worth it!' Lol! Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks, Suegen1 and Roger, for the support and ideas! I'm definitely back on track and going to stay there! The support is a great encouragement!

I think I forgot to publish my post, but great job on the smaller jeans, Buttons!! How exiting! I'm waiting to lose another 15 lbs or so to try my jeans but can't wait to get our of 'stretchies' and comfortably into jeans! That will be so nice! Onward and DOWNward! Linda
-
But look at all that exercise! Good job burning calories! Linda

Fantastic news! Congrats! I, on the other hand, did beautifully until I saw the uneaten pan-fried, bone in pork chop sitting in the frig that was going to end up in the trash in another day or two...added it to my meal which put me over my calories and protein...Need to quit opening the frig! :(
