  • Definitely hot here too. It just goes from cold to hot. Typical Canadian weather but I'll take it. I like it hot. Hubby and I shaved our long-haired white persian today. She was solid with mats and tangles. Now that was quite the workout and I still have all 10 fingers.
  • I went and got groceries and not my husband. He's been doing it for a long time and now I can do it. I folded lots of laundry today as well.
  • Done and thank you so much for your support and this gift.
  • Alzheimer's is a very scary thing. If exercise helps decrease the risk then I'm all for it. Count me in.
  • I have liked the Quitting the Sitting page on Facebook and I am going to get Dr. Michelle Sever's book that was mentioned there as well.
  • I have gone through a huge pile of papers and organizing and putting stuff away. Getting up and down to do it instead of asking for help.
  • I can't wait for vacation. We have rented the same cottage as last year for 2 weeks. I am really looking forward to swimming more, walking and kayaking. I will be able to DO these things this year instead of just WATCHING them.
  • I have been moving a lot more just because this month has been so busy. Lots of running around, organizing and walking. I have focused on moving more but I haven't needed to do my "one thing" to keep me moving. I think it's also because the weather is so nice right now. I hope this increase in activity leads to more. I…
  • It's Victoria Day today so I enjoyed it with my family. Organized more, folded laundry, made dinner and sat outside in chairs that I couldn't sit in at all last year. Sooooooooo happy and proud.
  • Cleaned up around the house and made chocolate nests for company and low fat sugar free cannoli's for myself and my friend so we could have our own healthy snacks during fireworks
  • Did more spring cleaning.
  • I really would like a fitbit or a pedometer (I can't find mine). I feel it would be a great motivator to move more. I have been straightening and organizing as much as I can. It's a very slow process but I am moving.
  • I am definitely not a morning person but I would be willing to give it a try later in the day but these first 2 exercises are definitely not something I can do yet.
  • I am unable to work anymore because of MS and Lupus but I can recruit my family and my sister and neighbour to go for a walk with me.
  • Since losing so much weight since my surgery I am able to do so much more. I'm walking around a lot more. I can't wait to be able to ride my bike, hike and, yes, go skating again.
  • This is a long weekend here in Canada. May 2-4 weekend for Victoria Day on Monday. The weather is supposed to be great. Looking forward to having friends over for fireworks, sitting outside, maybe some gardening if I can and opening up the doors and windows while I organize. Today my hubby and I to my girls to the Justin…
  • This is a great idea. I did turn off my tv to get stuff done but I will turn on the radio as well. Music makes the time go by faster and makes it almost enjoyable.
  • I've been getting up more often today. Putting stuff away, hanging up coats and wiggling my butt around the house. LOL
  • I forgot something. I cooked dinner tonight ( which I have finally been able to do after several years of not being able to hardly stand). I did most of it while standing too.
  • Wow, so many different activities. Today I did some more organizing.
  • Wow, great info. Some I knew but some I didn't. The fact that it takes 207 muscles to take one step and the fact that it increases your metabolism and builds muscle and it's just an all around great exercise is wonderful. The increase in my metabolism will make me more likely to go and start walking. On May 1st, I…
  • Just got some more stuff done that I needed to do. It wasn't very active but I have a sense of accomplishment for completing it. My brain was focused today.
  • Today I was extremely fatigued because of pushing myself yesterday. It happens with my MS and Lupus. Tomorrow I plan on doing some spring cleaning and I can't wait.
  • Getting up after I finish what I'm doing is a great idea. Move after each step in what you're doing sounds good too. Thanks for the reminder apps. I will definitely get one. Today was Open House at the school and I was sitting a lot selling raffle tickets but I walked around the school so much more than I ever could.…
  • I love doing Just Dance on Wii. It's great exercise and it's fun too.
  • Wow, it makes total sense. I need to try to keep my brain functioning as well as possible because I have MS. I have good days and bad.
  • My one thing which is to move during commercials and do squats and calf raises has been pretty slow. I am getting in other movement like running around, shopping and organizing but things have been very busy lately with school events and volunteering. When I do sit for long periods it's because I'm really tired.
  • I will be using the stairs now that I am able to.
  • I don't work anymore, I'm on CPP Disability but I will get up once an hour or during commercials and drink more for more washroom trips.
  • Did just a little bit of organizing today. Tried to enjoy my Mother's Day with my girls, both were away on school trips this week. My youngest in Ottawa for 3 days and my 15 year old in New York City and she just got home tonight. I missed them a lot. The house is eerily quiet when they're gone.
