  • Totally agree. We went to the beach last weekend and packed a cooler of hot dogs to grill, assorted fruit including mango, pineapple, watermelon, and cantaloupe, and a shrimp platter with homemade cocktail sauce. It was so good. c: I could see a macaroni salad being pretty good if kept cold, but that's probably the only…
  • Does it work as well with regular 1% milk? I recently tried almond milk, and was very not impressed with the taste. That sounds like a very tasty breakfast though.
  • Pretty much all caloric drinks. It's amazing how fast that stuff can add up. I still feel guilty having a 5 calorie flavored seltzer water because it just feels like I'm drinking a soda.
  • I'm 5'6'' and am aiming for 115 lb before I start a bulk to build muscle. Currently at 121 lb but not happy with my weight as I am what I consider to be 'skinny fat'. I want to be able to see my muscle. After my bulk I hope to come back up to around 121 lb but with muscle.
  • I live on the third floor, and honestly do some days feel bad for doing my HIIT videos in which jumping lunges and such are required. But then I figured that as long as it was during the day, and I didn't do it for huge periods of time, they'd learn to recognize that it would be a minor annoyance and then go away. I've…
  • Upstate New York. :)
  • I love reading everyone else's accomplishments in my feed--add me! :)
  • That was a good article. I'm glad to hear that I'm doing just about the right amount of cardio, and just this weekend started a heavy weight lifting program to start to get rid of this skinny fatness. :) Thank you for posting this!
  • I love Hasfit and GymRa. They both have good hiit weight videos, muscle group specific ones, dance ones, and a variety of general workouts. Granted, some of them are definitely better than others, since they have quite a few beginner workouts as well.
  • Huh. I like chunk light tuna... Maybe I should try some of this albacore and bumblebee stuff!! :o
  • Same here. It's constant! I also find that drinking coffee or tea helps to give me something to do without consuming calories, but it doesn't stop the thoughts. I have found that I really just have to get busy to make it go away. I'll invent a problem on the other side of the plant that I have to go work on to get moving…
  • See, I really don't think that genetics plays a huge role. I grew up in a family where my mother, father, aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. are all over weight. All of them. Not a single one is a healthy weight. Yet, I'm average weight for my height/age, and my brother is underweight. I think it has a lot to do with how…
  • Wow! That's really awesome. What a great supportive atmosphere that must be to work in! :D
  • Do you write down the grams that you weigh separately from MFP then, to remember them when you go to log? Or do you just have an awesome number memory? I usually log once in the morning while I'm eating my breakfast at work, and once at night after dinner. This might change now that I'm actually using a scale though. I'll…
  • Ooh, that's a good idea, the pre-planning before going out. I've always used a spur-of-the-moment approach to restaurants, but knowing what I want will help with calories, and save time. c:
  • My go-to's are: a banana with peanut butter or hazelnut butter and sometimes a whole wheat english muffin. I find that it's very filling, and approximately 350 calories. Or, a serving of granola with slivered almonds and a low fat greek yogurt, or 1/4 cup milk. Also filling and delicious. :)
  • I know. I had pizza the other day, and I bought just a single slice so I couldn't over-eat it. It was amazing, and I feel that I really needed it to stay on-track. Like I can have pizza as long as I log it and plan my calories around it. Very good feeling. :) So many thanks for pizza.
  • Yesterday was a terrible hungry day for me. All morning and afternoon I felt hungry, even though I'd eaten my breakfast and lunch. I tried to drink more water, figuring it must be due to thirst in reality, but when I got home I didn't eat anything and just hit my workout, hard. And after that I stopped being hungry the…
  • To stay healthy and active. So my bones and muscles and joints continue to function properly into old age.
  • Ice cream. Always. So good.
  • Just ate granola in milk with slivered almonds and strawberries. :) yum!
  • I tend to stick to Wendy's if I'm going to get fast food, since their salads are actually really good. But when I do go to mcdonalds, since my boyfriend actually likes their food, I tend to get the fruit and yogurt parfait. They don't have a salad I like, sadly. If I have to get something I can eat and drive, I've gotten…
  • I played a full match of tennis last night without being out of breath once. And that was after I had done a 30 minute full body weight/cardio video before it. :D Feeling the good soreness today.
  • I love chocolate milk. :) I feel like its worth the sugar to drink. Most people don't worry about sugar intake. Although as it's an added sugar I tend to be at least somewhat conscious of it. But still, definitely fine to go over on your sugar intake.
  • Ooh. This. When I hit 115, this is what I want. :)
  • It's definitely a great exercise. I love the ab wheel. It is easy to over-do it though, because when you're doing them it doesn't really feel like it's that strenuous, but the next day (at least personally) after I've done 3 sets of 15 or so, by abs kill. Which, means I worked them hard. But it can be painful, like…
  • I definitely feel fit compared to a few years ago when I couldn't run a mile without being winded. Now I lift three times a week, and can run a few miles, and I'm definitely more inclined to do these things. However, I feel like I'll always be striving for a higher level of fitness. To be able to lift more and do more…
  • I personally don't own a scale. Although there is one at the gym that I use every Monday to keep tabs on my weight. Prior to about 5 weeks ago though I hadn't weighed myself in over a year. When I did I realized I'd gained about 7 pounds. That was when I decided it was time to keep tighter track.
  • I've heard varying opinions on the claim that eating at night is bad. I personally have at least one night a week where I'm just getting around to eating dinner at 9:30 or later, and have been losing weight consistently for about 5 weeks. The food has the same quantity of calories whenever you eat it--difference being that…
  • I'm in Upstate NY, and am an automation engineer. c: Although my degree is actually in chemical engineering.
