Im so sorry to hear that and I apologize for any offense I may have caused. This is not my opinion though, just was her mother's excuse for not letting her wear it. I feel as if most child predators are obsessed with the innocence (which is a catch 22 because they completely rob children of it!!!) therefore, looking more…

I don't see why her mother is so upset. Lip gloss for most part seems harmless. My daughter did the same thing. She had the hand sanitizer from Justice that she clipped on her back pack. She had her chap stick. And I will tell you that my daughter is not big on makeup at 12. She doesn't have an interest but she did want to…

I also feel like kids get most of their insecurities from their parents. If i constantly harp on my weight, my girls will probably grow up with body image issues too. I just let them, well ellie, my youngest is 7 months, know that I am losing weight to be healthy for them so we can be more active together. Never that I…

We got into a big debate with my step daughters mom last night because we let Ellie wear pink lip gloss in public. I went and double checked the "makeup" her mother was referring to and all she has is an array of flavored lip gloss and chap sticks. She has a body paint pencil that she uses as eye shadow at home but I do…

By makeup i purely mean colored/flavored lip gloss and play eye shadow** Not a face full including foundation and the whole 9

I looked into this and really liked Betty (Fit...Finally!) and she got her start with Beyond Diet. I was able to view some of the "methods" and recipes before buying and knew it wasn't for me but luckily they do offer a money back guarantee. You can keep the recipes and info you got and get a refund. I'd integrate those…

I had mine 7 months ago but I was reallyyyy big before that anyways. She was a tiny baby and I never really looked pregnant or got the effects of the super big belly (added stretch marks and pooch- I had that anyways!) But she did completely obliterate my stomach muscles :( I used to at least have muscle under my flab and…

That makes me feel better! I just don't want to give myself more credit and be bummed if I get on another scale and there's a big difference due to my cheap little crappy one lol. And congrats on the weight loss! That's awesome!!
-
Do you guys use digital scales? I know they're more accurate since it will give you down to the grams, but Wal-Mart only had 2 to choose from and the digital one was $40! Money is tight so I bought the cheaper regular scale. I still wouldn't think it would lie TOO much being that I was very close to what the doctors scale…

YES! I wake up, pee, and hop on the scale. I want to be as consistent as possible for accurate readings. I don't really feel a difference in my clothes, although I'm not sure that 10lbs at my size would make much of a difference anyway which is why I asked about water weight. That just seems like a ton of water retention I…

I live in York and work off Westinghouse!

can this be AFTER i hit goal? :)

haha, i didn't mean to start a debate. But I did use the term "crap" because it's a high calorie, sugary food (there's nothing wrong with that if you can fit it into your allotted calorie amount, i eat a little debbie almost every day!) but the purpose of these potlucks we have are to get people to try actual healthy foods…

I took the Raspberry Ketones about 2 years ago but I also started working at Lowe's right around the same time and was on my feet, climbing ladders etc ALLLL day. I went down a pant size in a month. Not too long ago I tried the Pure Green Coffee and Garcinia Cambogia but saw nothing. It's crap and all the reviews I could…

That's awesome!!! I'm 7 months PP and my "aha!" moment was realizing I gained 15lbs POST pregnancy! I knew I had to do something before the scale crept up anymore as I was severely overweight before the pregnancy already. Good luck and congrats on your weigh loss!
-
I have my goal at 95lbs right now but would love to trim an extra 15 or so after that. My set goal is just the number I've always wanted to see myself at. We can do this ladies!

I really want to thank all of y'all for the amount of support and information you give to us newbs. I've never been on an online forum where everyone is so quick to motivate and bring their peers upwards versus the typical internet tear-down. I can honestly say that this is the most confident I have ever been at reaching…

You guys are great. I don't think it's necessarily ME that I'm disgusted with more so my actions and lack of intelligence on health and the way the body works. I mean, we've all "always known how to lose weight and what we're doing wrong" but implementing a change it is a wholleee different story. I guess I didn't realize…

I keep a 32oz bottle of water at work and tally accordingly throughout the day. I'm pretty bad about not wanting water at home so I make sure to get all 64oz in at work. I don't count coffee, tea, or any other liquid as water though-just plain ol' water.

Y'all have been incredibly helpful! I'm actually excited to go home and throw out the Debbie cakes so that I can start this journey without temptation at home. Thank you so much!!!
-
You look great!!! Congrats & keep up the hard work, it's definitely working! And 65 pounds is nothing to shake a stick at, not matter where you started.
-
Excellent tip! Thank you!

I clearly have much to learn:)

AWESOME! I expected to get back all kinds of off the wall foods I've never heard of or organic only, expensive things. I think I can use these to cook for the family too. I really didn't want to have to prepare 2 separate meals then sit there while everyone else eats yummy stuff and I'm chewing on an avocado or something…

This is my first time giving MFP a shot. I'm a 24 year old mom and trying to break my lazy ways and lose about 90lbs. We all definitely need encouragement and I'd really like to see how other moms balance work, life, kids and healthy eating/habits. This is what I struggle with each day and can't find a way to break the…
