My stomach had done that- over the years I had a rental prolaspe, hernias, and the biggest cause of that was a diastasis (that was from the muscles separating during my pregnancies.) either way a doctor is absolutely your most important first step!!! Wishing you good health! ❤️

I have had every type of ED. Am doing much better than before but feel I need more support- specifically w bingeing. Just reached out to the eating recovery center (in Denver). The national eating disorder assoc has a chat line and they can help give you lots of resources. Add me if you like! Hugs to you!

Add me too if you like. I'm finally getting to a place where I think I can cope without food. About to get some additional support to help me stay in this better place. Glad you found this group!

Dealing w exact same issue right this very moment. I agree w all of the other posters- new day tomorrow- it can be a good one

Hi! Add me if you like. I've battled every ED for over 2 decades. AN- bulimia- orthorexia and bingeing has been the most recent and most persistent. All bec I am still tempted to restrict- not bec calories, but types of food. I still fight having so many rules. That said I am in the best place of recovery I've ever been.…

Great job! I'm so happy for you!

Yay you! And yay me for reading this. Needed to see the moderate attitude that results in lasting Heath changes. I know weight loss is just a happy by product of treating yourself well. I'm trying to lose the diet/cheat mentality. Hugs and high fives to you!
-
❤️ this is exactly what I needed to hear- hugs and high fives!
-
Aylajane- love the approach! I'm going to try that. Thanks for the tip! Have a great week. Hoping you won't need to schedule meltdown time!
-
Sending hugs! Hopefully tomorrow will be a much better day!
-
Well done!!!
-
Great job!!!!! I am battling the same demons! More power to you. Add me if you like. Same approach- no restriction as that's definitely what triggers the binges! Hugs and high fives!

45, 3 kids here. Anorexia, bulimia, BED, orthorexia! I'm equal opportunity! Doing much better now. Digging in hard to not restrict, at all which has been taking away any urge to binge!!!
-
Yes you can!
-
Many congratulations! Happier days ahead!

I say this with the utmost compassion and support- this is an eating disorder. I have dealt w this cycle my whole life. The bingeing WILL NOT stop until you nourish your body. I promise you, you will gain more weight than you could possibly imagine, if you continue to under eat- the positive is if you eat more, your weight…

Hi! Add me!
-
You can do it! Fall down 10 times get up 11. Believe that this is the last time and you will be done bouncing. Add me if you like. I'm climbing my way out of the darkness for the last time too!
-
Yes! That's exactly what I'm doing. Minus the biking. I'm getting back to running after a fractured hip. Just turned 45- not expecting to do that w a walker/crutches! Add me if you like- we can high five each other while we work on our brilliant strategy!
-
Yup! My new strategy is I picked a weight I think I'm comfortable at- don't want to get too hung up on numbers- and set calories to maintenance. That way I will learn how to eat:nourish/enjoy life and when I'm where that weight is, I won't have to change anything
-
Great job- not so much on the will power, but rather on feeling happy w your choices, no matter what those are. I think that is what dictates our destructive or productive behavior which then is reflected in our weight/health. Happy mind, happy weight (ok, that sounded better in my head.) also wherever you work must be a…

Well done!

All good advice. Brain over binge and intuitive eating are also great books!! I love the advice of talking to yourself in the mirror. We must be our own greatest cheerleaders.
-
Nicely done! Can absolutely see a diff!
-
Brilliant thread! As I have learned through 2 decades w eating disorders, the restriction/diet mentality is what will absolutely make you gain weight and be miserable. Enjoy yourself!!! Generally stick to a reasonable plan! Best to you!!
-
Ha' sounds like me. I also am realizing how I am getting in my own way. I set so many rules, rebel against them, and this continue a binge/restrict cycle. I'm over it! Happy eating will now be my new normal. I'm quite convinced a happy weight will follow. Add me for happy support if you like- ok- this is sounding goofy- I…

Love it! Good for you! And through a huge life change!

One my sweet mama always said "today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday!"

Great advice! Thanks! Needed it!
