Sunflower seeds shelled roasted unsalted.

I eat peanut butter on toast before a run. I have to watch my blood sugar so eating a complex carb helps with slow release of insulin during my run.

Mine is open. I don't list fresh greens (lettuce, kale, spinach, celery, zucchini and low calorie veggies). So you will see salad dressing, but no greens on the list.

I'm also new to MFP and need support as well. Let's be friends and encourage each other.

Thanks for sharing your journey. Let's be friends.

I prefer almond milk or coconut milk over dairy or soy. There are many kinds of almond milks but I would suggest those labeled non GMO. If used for cooking, the unsweetened almond milk is perfect substitute for dairy. It's not really good as a coffee creamer (I prefer organic half and half). As for soy, check out this…

I'm a newbie! My goals for June are to add more fresh veg juices to my diet. We have a juicer and I pulled it out of hibernation.

Add fresh veg juices that I juice myself.

I've only been on MFP for five days. I listed my starting weight but not inches. Today I decided to log my inches. It will be interesting to see the results.

Congratulations! Thank you for sharing your journey. Wishing you all the best.

I make a banana smoothie with almond milk, banana and a splash of pure vanilla flavoring.

You're not alone. I don't go to the gym. I prefer walking and using my elliptical. I also do floor exercises - stretching on a mat. I play tennis when the weather is good and in the summer go on hikes. I do have a set of hand weights I use for biceps and triceps.

Tom, I'm new here and am working on a lifestyle change as well. I don't have any suggestions for you, other than what we all know, which is to stay away from processed foods as much as possible and "eat clean." A good book to read is Michael Pollan's 'Food Rules"

Learning to cook/prepare your own meals is important. Also avoid processed foods as much as possible. Check labels for lists of ingredients as well as nutrition information. If you're not used to cooking it may be difficult at first, but soon you'll be an old pro.
