OMG - this made me snort laugh while at work...I'm supposed to be working and YOU ARE BLOWING MY COVER. Also, The Princess Bride is my all time favorite movie. This make me like you and your SO very much.

Amazing!!! You are an inspiration! I tend to hit my goal weight, then abandon all the tools that got me there in slow but inevitable fashion. That generally means weight creeping back on as I binge on pizza and ice cream. This time, I want to do it differently... I want to keep logging and paying attention until it's…

Ditto! I've read all the stories in the thread about sexual assualt and I just want to say how amazing each of the survivors are. You've each already overcome or are overcoming a horrible thing....and this makes you a super hero. For reals. I deeply respect your strength, perseverance and admire your willingness to hold…

I second this! Adopt him and please post pics!! (Though maybe you already have? I'm behind in the thread. )

I WANT TO EAT THAT.

Ummm... what are these mini molten cakes of which you speak??? And how can I get some of those?? (What section of the grocery store would they be in?) Those sound AMAZING!

Confession: When I started gaining weight a little over a year ago, I still insisted on cramming myself into pants that were quickly becoming too small. The fact of the "too smallness" of the pants was confirmed when the button closing the top shot off them when I tried to refasten them after using the restroom. On the…

Nope, not a Druffel. The wedding was for my husband's cousin and it was outside. AND SO HOT. OMG. But it was a good time! I grew up in a small farming town in Oregon, so I tend to prefer being in the country. But after living in the city for so many years now, I would have a very hard time giving up all the conveniences…

Well hi!! I passed through Pullman last weekend for a family wedding in Colton. Pretty area!!

@Susieq_1994 I'm currently reading a series of books written by the author of The Hunger Games. This series is for much younger readers, so doesn't have quite the intensity of the Hunger Games. Anyhow, I thought you might like it? It's The Underland Chronicles (Book 1 is called Gregor the Overlander) and there are 5 books…

OMG - are you in the Portland/Vancouver area? Cuz that is fabulous! I've never been to Joe's Crabshack, but have always wanted to try it. Oh wait... that restaurant is a chain, isn't it? And here I was thinking the only one anywhere is in Vancouver, WA. HA! /embarrassed grin

@pofoster21 - Maybe I missed this in the middle hundreds of pages, but may I ask what you are studying for your doctoral program?

This week has been an adventure in hangry for me!! Good luck today. I wanted to eat all the things yesterday...so hubby and I went to a buffet. ACK. The food wasn't that great, but I did eat tacos AND mashed potatoes with gravy AND pie. Yep. The salad bar was not even on my radar. Cuz yuck.

Oh man... that would be a dilemma for me, too!! Ack! I LOVE the turtle pecan cluster blizzards way more than I should. Eeeeeeeee! Good luck!! @crosbylee - good idea with the mini sized ones!

Aw, thanks for the well wishes! I'm doing well and YES the house is MUCH nicer now with all the repairs! We got new floors throughout, new kitchen cabinets and new counter tops. It is fabulous! So you have that to look forward to eventually! I'm going to be 39 years old in August, so I think I've made my peace…

Wow - that IS a lot of stressors all happening at one time! Last year for me was very similar: our townhouse flooded and my husband and I lived in a hotel for 6 months while it was repaired. We had JUST bought the house and moved in 13 days before the flooding occurred. At the same time, I got really sick with some sort of…

Thank you!! :)

I'm so sorry you're dealing with such stress!! Ack! My sister has twin girls who are toddlers right now. They are into EVERYTHING! I've no idea how she manages to keep her sanity as the one who cares for them all day/night. Her husband pitches in, but he gets home from work, then goes outside to do his other "chores" often…

I can completely empathize! I would fixate over the pint of ice cream in the freezer and nothing would do until it was gone. Over the last 6 months or so, I've discovered Weight Watchers Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundaes in the freezer section. I've found that one (ok, sometimes 2) of those really satisfies that ice…

@riderfangal Good luck tonight! For me, having the "house to myself" used to mean "license to binge without anyone noticing." I would eat lots of junk and veg out in front of the TV. Those habits are still really ingrained in me, to the point where if I think I'll have some alone time, my first thought is "what can I eat?"…

Awesome!! Thanks for the recommendations! I will check them out! I LOVE book recommendations. :)

@riderfangal Thanks for the book recommendation! I will check it out. (I know you were recommending it for @Susieq_1994 , but I'm swooping in and stealing it. Hee hee) If you like the young adult fantasty/fiction genre, you might like a series by Laini Taylor called the Daughter of Smoke & Bone. :)

Oh that sounds delicious! @Susieq_1994 - would you please share the mixed fried cauliflower rice recipe? Also, if you have a recipe for a cauliflower-type cheesy fake mashed potato dish, I'd love that, too!

I'm new here, but have been reading this thread for a couple weeks and feel a little like I know you all. Susieq - my heart breaks for the innocent lives lost in the terrorist attacks. :-( And I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. I am ready for the world to change - for our interactions with each other to be…

ME TOO!!! I read constantly. One of my favorite series is by Patrick Rothfuss. The first book is called The Name of the Wind. The series isn't finished and the waiting for book 3 has been DREADFULLY long. ETA - Also, The Song of Ice and Fire series is amazing. I totally understand your mourning. Also, I loved Rick…

This is awesome!!! I live in the Pacific NW and have always wanted to do Cycle Oregon, but lacked the funds, the endurance, or the vacation time to give it a try. I've been lurking this thread for awhile now and have enjoyed the support, kindness, and honesty on display here. :-) Confession - This is my first post ever on…
