  • Ok, I am a little moody, just tired of this weather and feeling bad, but the drugs probably are not helping my attitude. two more days on the pills and I should be allowed to use only Motrin. Tracking today, I am surprised how many calories I have already consumed, had a protein mix and frozen peaches breakfast and veg…
  • So yesterday went well considering I am bed bound and even if I wasn't it won't stop raining, so can't go outside. 1) ate way below my numbers due to not able to chew much yet and I don't really have much of a appetite. Probably due to the drugs they have me on. 2) swelling is starting to go down a little, and I am less…
  • Just found this site, all of the recipes are under 400 calories, and they look pretty good. I am a vegetarian so this is a great site for me, not sure it applies to others, but I thought it would be nice to share any low-calorie recipes we come across. https://thishealthykitchen.com/asian-sticky-tofu/ Once I can eat normal…
  • Thanks for the kind words today everyone. I am super swollen and sore. Look like a purple balloon. LOL Today I will try to stay with soup and sugar free sorbet. Feel nauseous but in a few days I should be better. I absolutely love reading your posts. Once I feel a little better I will start some meal prep. Hubs is my chef…
  • Wow you guys are doing so well! Ended up in the hospital and will be in recovery for a minimum of two weeks. They said NO exercise. I am so bummed! But I feel bad so food may not be something I am too focused on. Hanging in there. Will keep checking in too. I can do it!!!

  • Wow!!! Welcome all the newbies! I am so excited for us all. I am writing my affirmations the morning after for two reasons. At night I usually forget and it helps focus me the day of. I am also struggling with a husband who loves to eat and cook in most cases non diet food. He needs to gain 20+ and I need to lose that.…

  • Few crazy days here with our storm, flooding and tree issues so missed my affirmations. I think I will note them in the am for prior day to help kick my day off. 1) one hour at the gym 2) ate out but halved the meal before I ate 3) organized some health stuff -menopause appointment and picked up some probiotics. Love the…
  • Thanks for the advice. Yeah I am for sure in menopause per my doc but thought I would just tough it out. But the hot flashes at night are driving me crazy so time to regroup. :#
  • PS. Love you guys!!
  • I so love reading your affirmations. I loved seeing my pony covered in shavings after the barn flood yesterday. Made me so happy. I did one hour in the gym. Made a healthy ish taco for dinner. All good!!
  • OK, so we are all starting off (again) and I have a new challenge for you all, as it is the new year! I was once told to write down each day three things you were proud of that day, three things you did well. Does not have to be food/exercise related but it can be. I found it REALLY hard, I totally could not come up with…

  • I love how you guys are all noting your goals for the day, really nice. We should also notate our successes, what you did get accomplished that day, or what you were happy/proud of. I plan to make cookie dough this am, pick up Grands at noon and take them to lunch, then back home to bake and decorate, then ice skating…

  • now I really want onion soup! LOL, going to make some this weekend for our Sunday family dinner. We are all vegetarians, I have been for around 40 years, so my son and grands have never eaten meat.....but on Sunday we are trying a new vegan filet mignon, should be interesting. We have about a 50 50 split on mock meats…
  • Welcome all you newbies!!!! Can not wait to see how you are doing. I did stick to plan and have been exercising like cray. But hurt my hip and taking today off. I guess at 61 I can’t jump around like I used to. LOL Pic of wine glass #1 :p
  • You ladies still are doing great, regardless of some slips here and there. Selene; I feel ya' regarding the parents. Unfortunately, both of mine are gone but I look back fondly on taking care of them and cooking for them. I too was (is) a huge soup fan and made gallons every week for them and my son's family, still can't…

Well down in weight is ok of course. LOL @3moons3 - looks like you are doing…
  • I too have been on/off Fitness Pal but all in all have lost. I have and love horses, had them my whole life. 61 now so ride less and no longer ride but still love my gelding and our pony for the grandkids. Also a vegetarian as is my direct family since I started that at 20 but that certainly did not help with my weight.…
