  • 60-minutes of Sky Zone jumping with my god son. Was supposed to get in 60-minutes of cardio and 120-minutes of lifts but that was impossible bc my S.O. got called to an urgent work meeting last minute and couldn't watch the little. <3
  • Meal prep. Invested in Bite Meals for the week since I have my god son for a few days & meal prep would be difficult. Pre-planned until Sunday. Hanging out by the pool where I'll be drinking some refreshing ice cold water, getting to the gym early for cardio & lifts, and then extra "cardio" by swimming.
  • For me, only one...at most. It's always the hardest day of my week and usually *forced* like today
  • ^^ This, to a T.
  • Stretch between sets. If you feel up for it, super set. When I'm benching, I usually do shoulder burn outs (t-lift, hammer front lift and "superman lift") between sets. Helps me stay focused and motivated.
  • Congratulations on your success and great job for getting the dedicated, motivated mind set. 8 lbs. in two weeks is absolutely exceptional! Not sure how much you are aiming to lose, but I always encourage newcomers to incorporate weight lifting too! Helps build confidence in the gym while also helping with definition and…
  • Awesome!!! Way to go. Keep it up with the consistency, that's awesome
  • For a real answer, we need to know your stats. For the average height woman, 1,200 is going to be quite low - but if you're 5' and under (like me) it's what's necessary to lose weight if you aren't extremely active. It is NOT starvation mode by any means though. Especially when you aren't training like crazy. When you're…
  • Eh, I basically only aim to stay under for sugar, carbs and calories while hitting (or getting close to) protein. I usually stay within my goals or get to a point I want, but it can be hard. Lots of calculations.
  • Cheese itself won't fix a calcium deficiency. Definitely look into supplemental gummies or vitamins of some sort. As for the discrepancy, a lot of stuff is added by users and is not able to be edited. Search the brand and item name or barcode and click around until you find one with all nutritional information input. Or…
  • Definitely overtraining. I just did this to myself not too long ago too. I kept catching myself sleeping in on the daily and literally struggling to get out of bed because my muscles were too sore. Drink more water, eat a little more protein (like 100-200 cals worth) and make sure you take those rest days. I always…
  • Goal: leaner, stronger body not a bulky, huge body Let me tell you a secret, the people that have *bulky* bodies probably ate a crap ton and have been through multiple cut and bulk sessions in order to obtain that look. I promise, you don't just get bulky. Especially as a female. I've been powerlifting for 3+ years now and…
  • #1 *Eating clean* isn't the end all be all to fat loss. It's basic science and math - calories in versus calories out. Eat whatever you want to fill your body with in order to meet those specific calorie goals and macro goals. Props to you for eating clean though! Very difficult to do in today's world with all the…
  • I log all of my exercise but right now, I don't eat any of it back. During bulk - I eat back 1/3. But I still log properly just for an idea of how much time I spent at the gym. Otherwise I would be there for five hours, literally LOL
  • I do this a lot. But mine is more so in terms of eating too much one day and logging it onto the next so that I make sure I eat a lot stricter to follow it up. Same end result.
  • I think it's USEFUL if anything for weight loss when subbing out for regular pop since it has 0 calories. It tends to make me bloat, so I limit my diet soda (or carbonated water, Zevia, or whatever non-water drink I may consume) to one or two throughout the day.
  • Not a big chocolate protein person, but adding a banana or 1-2 T. Sugar-free Jello Pudding Powder could add a little pizzaz. Try the cheesecake flavor and top with some graham crackers, raspberries and strawberries. A banana and PB for a totally new take on chocolate protein shakes, or even sprinkles and white chocolate…
  • You look incredible!!! What is your height if you don't mind me asking?!
  • Not doing it wrong. I have been coached for 3-years on proper form. If you do 100+ reps of weighted ab circuits, leg raises and bodyweight circuits and then go pop a PR the following day while your abs are sore, you'll 100% be able to feel your abs assist in "bracing your core" for squats and DL's.
  • It's absolutely amazing! I suggest living in the MD suburbs - like 20 minutes outside of the city. So much to do and everything is brand new & bustling.
  • No matter what, I always stress about a cheat day and end up logging it throughout the week and undereating to make up for it. Therefore, I don't really do cheat days. I just pre-log whatever I'm planning on "splurging" on so I know exactly how much I can have of said item. And I would do a "meal" versus a full all you can…
  • Food doesn't have to be fresh in order to be low calorie. I always choose frozen veggies, fruits and even meats because they last longer, less waste and overall cheaper price.
  • I had a similar situation happen...twice. I got my first surgery (reconstruction of my foot) in July 2013 and was in the very early stages of my weight lifting lifestyle, transitioning from just tracking macros + cardio. I ended up gaining, but only 3-5 lbs. and was able to lose it quite quickly. Flash forward to November…
  • ISN get on track with my diet so I can hit weight in two weeks -_- ISN to clean my house but my legs are sore LOL
  • Meal prep. It's the key to a stress-free "diet" and a healthier lifestyle. When you feel like throwing in the towel and getting fast food, just remember there's food already prepped and waiting at home.
  • Definitely don't give up on lifting, I agree with the above poster. Recomp will be achieved by eating at maintenance (so you won't be losing a ton of energy either) while also incorporating weight lifting and even some cardio! You'll see "newbie gains" muscle wise and will lose fat as well, which will keep you motivated…
