I probably wouldn't notice.

The ingredients lists they provide do include sucralose.

Caffeine has a (very mild) effect on metabolism. Like, you drink a few cups, you might burn an extra 5 or 10 calories that day. It's a case of "technically, yes, but in reality it makes such a tiny difference it doesn't matter." Stimulants in general suppress appetite--again, a tiny bit. At the end of a year, maybe you'll…

I take vitamin D because I'm pale, live far north, and wear a lot of sunscreen whenever I go out. Mostly, unless you have a specific deficiency (as tested by a doctor) you don't need any supplements. That said, getting bloodwork done to look for deficiencies can be a great help since many deficiencies can affect cravings,…

I like making chickpea pancakes. Chickpea/gram/besan flour, water, salt, a little cumin. Cook in a hot nonstick pan on either side (takes maybe 2 minutes total.) They're a fun change of pace for a quick breakfast, or to have with an Indian-style meal.

I used to roast whole chickens! I'd throw in a lot of chopped root vegetables (you can also set it on foil balls to keep the meat out of any grease/drippings,) then a whole, raw chicken rubbed with salt. Cook on high for 4-5 hours (you can do 8 on low but I'm not sure about the food safety aspect of that.) and you're set!…

I figured out pasta weight by weighing pasta dry, cooking and draining, and then weighing it again after it stopped steaming. Then I created a "recipe" with just the dry pasta as an ingredient, and set the number of servings so that each one is 100g of the cooked pasta. For example: I take 600g pasta, cook and drain, and…

They're nice to make chia "pudding" and chia fresca, which is light juice with chia seeds for texture. If you chew them they have a very light watermelon-like taste. Lots of fiber and some protein, overall decent, but not anything special unless you want the gelling properties or dislike the taste of flax.

The issue with sugar substitutes is that, because they're non-caloric or very low caloric but are sweet, your body prepares itself to accept calories that aren't there which can leave you hungry. So, if you're not tracking food at all, they can mess up your appetite enough to make you eat excess calories--but if you're…

You look great! I'm not a fan of the typical white-strapless-A-line gown that everyone seems to get, and I really like the texture on your dress.

I lost over 60 lbs and mayyyyybe 1.5 inches off my waist+hips, wore the same size clothes, and the only place where I saw any difference was my neck/jaw. No one thought I'd lost any weight, I didn't look different, my clothes were barely barely fitting differently. Everyone loses weight differently.

When I was successfully/steadily losing weight I let myself have one non-logging day per week, but not a true "cheat day." I wouldn't go all-out and eat a bucket of fried chicken and twelve eggs (or whatever it is proponents of Real Cheat Days do) but I'd let myself not worry about getting exactly one serving of something,…

I like making my own single-serve packs (it's a lot cheaper than buying them.) If I buy I big bag of almonds or pistachios I'll weigh out portions and put them in Ziploc snack bags which I can also reuse (so long as I only put dry stuff in them) a few times each. I do the same thing with cooked pasta, chicken, salmon,…

I'm in a similar place to you. I had been 22st, got down to 18st 8lbs, but then had some serious personal problems that got me off-track and now I'm back where I started. I'm a uni student during the academic year but have had a really tough time finding any employment this summer, which means a lot of time is spent at…

No more chub rub is one of my big motivators. No more cracked heels though? I've never heard that, but it makes sense (less weight on feet?) and would also be great!

What kind of fast food are you getting? It's not too hard to put together a reasonable meal, even at somewhere like McDonald's. A cheeseburger and small fries is 520 calories, which is workable in pretty much any plan. If it seems skimpy, you could add a side salad for some bulk and minimal extra calories. You can have…
