It really bugged me that there were 299 comments on this, so I've made it an even 300. Have a lovely day, everyone :)

This is so true. We talk a lot about "everything in moderation", but knowing yourself is so important. I don't have "forbidden foods", but I know that if I get started on chips and salsa I'm going to eat way more than I should just because I can. Know thyself :P

lol... most people in the US don't actually go to the doctor for annual check ups either. Let's be real, we get told to do a lot of stuff, but I haven't been to the dentist in almost 4 years. I don't go to the doctor even when I feel like crap unless I honestly think I'm dying or someone insists I do so.

Eating well is hard. Being unhealthy is hard. Choose your hard.

bahahahahahahahahahaha this is lovely

Even though this is probably the case, and only your doctor can tell you if you have specific deficiencies, taking a multivitamin is a good idea anyway. Even when I have great eating days with lots of everything I need I don't always get enough of a lot of things, and a vitamin is kind of my safety net... also I am citric…

good... honestly, only worry about it once a week. A lot of people have recommended you do an average of your weight over the week. Although I weigh myself every day I only count/log what I weigh first thing Monday morning (or day of your choice) it gives me a pretty good idea. I read somewhere quite a while ago that it's…

depends on what I did... usually my "cool down" is my strength training (maybe that's not good? Somebody tell me if that's bad)... then drink water, eat if it's the right time of day (my schedule is really weird and inconsistent because I work 2 jobs), log everything on MFP, shower, watch tv... none of that necessarily in…

I see this a lot too... I find "clean eating" to be confusing... I guess the idea is that chemicles are bad for you, most of the people I've seen go with this have some sort of notion that the FDA is allowing things into our food that make us fat and sick so that we spend more money on healthcare, conspiracy stuff. Clean…

1) There are definitely days I don't feel motivated, reading through success stories on here is a big motivator for me. I also try to remember that if I mess up one day it's not going to kill me. I have a really big deficit so I have some wiggle room to keep seeing results even when it's an off day. 2) My big problem is…

I didn't start out very heavy and to be honest I've always been cold all the time, my mom (who is probably at least close to 300) is boiling all the time. I always hated being in the car with her until she got one with dual air, and I hated living with her because she always had the fan on... until I moved out. Having the…

dis·cus·sion dəˈskəSH(ə)n/ noun the action or process of talking about something, typically in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas. a conversation or debate about a certain topic. I don't mean to argue with you, either. However, based on the fact that you felt the need to "correct" me even though you knew what I…

I don't know about anyone else, but I am having a discussion not an argument. Even if OP isn't visiting this thread there are plenty of other people on here that could benefit from the edification this "argument" may provide.

The only time I don't "count calories" is on my cheat days. Once I lose the weight I'm trying to I will continue to count calories because I DON'T want to just end up back where I started. For me, entering my meals doesn't seem to take that much time. I'd also like to clarify that eating healthy and counting calories are…

Weight loss is all about CICO. My metabolism doesn't have anything to do with it. ANYONE could eat nothing but carbs and still lose weight if their intake is less than outtake, but it wouldn't necessarily be healthy. I'm sorry, but this post is incredibly rude and uneducated. None of what I have said is anywhere close to…

This. You just schooled people. Go you. [/quote] Thanks :)

When you lose weight you're almost always going to burn muscle as well as fat. I never said anything about that. It has nothing to do with how old I am or how fast I'm losing weight.

Small meatballs, no. These meatloafs are the size of a normal cupcake. we've already had this discussion.

I think the majority of people on here have a basic understanding of nutrition, but you're the only one making these claims. Suspicious.
-
I think you need to re-read that... since it says I had meatloaf, mashed potatoes and cherries for dinner.

You need to remember that these are GENERAL rules. Yes, 1200 is pretty low, but that doesn't mean that everyone should avoid it. There are many "rules" about weight loss, but everyone is different biologically. If someone can eat 1200 and/or net under 1000 and not have any complications and lose at a reasonable rate, then…

Just made my first post (it's crepes!)

I've considered doing this... I LOOOOOVE cooking and I've considered starting a blog for it. So here, shameless self-promotion fuelyourlife.blogspot.com I need to get it set up, but it should be ready within an hour :)

Photos and open profiles aren't the only people with good advice, however it's a lot easier to believe people who do. When people claim to know something different than what you've been told many times because they've been "successful" but their profile is closed I don't know what to think. They could easily be putting…

Interesting! I know a lot of people have told me I just shouldn't use my computer close to bed, but that's not really an option for me, so this is a good compromise!
-
when I say my apartment is small... it's REALLY small... there's not two separate areas at all... I have a futon, I use it as my couch during the day and my bed at night. There's not really any other options because it's so tiny.
-
You'll notice that I stated earlier that I live in a studio apartment. I don't have any other option than to do anything and everything in my bedroom as it is also my livingroom/dining room/kitchen. This is probably the most common advice, so I just want to explain that it's not possible for me.

if you happened to read my post where I talked about my back trouble and that my doctor didn't really listen to me you're really going to tell me to get a new doctor now: I talked to her about my insomnia and she insisted that I just needed to go to bed earlier even though I told her there are literally nights that I don't…
