  • @lbenson2006 You can't beat that accountability factor can you? I love it!!!! Thanks so much for sharing!
  • I agree, Connie! From the Winter Challenge, it seemed to me that the teams with the most posts in their discussion threads, performed better than others in the challenge. No coincidence there, I'm sure! I love the variety of our team members: different ages, occupations, parts of the world, family/health situations, goals…
  • Never noticed that lcolpo was on twice. I'll message her about that so she can remove one of them. Thanks for pointing that out!
  • On a more positive note, I see on the spreadsheet that we have already surpassed the required miles!!! So anything after this point will count towards the extra points! One point extra for every 10% we go over! I will be saying yes to every roadblock/other challenges etc., tomorrow! We've got this!
  • Oh, Kathleen, this is where being a virtual team really bites. This is where I want to say, ok you gals, let's get together for a girl's nite out and support Kathleen! In any case, we're here for you and support you in any way we can. Focusing on this team and the challenges will hopefully be a healthy distraction. Stay…
  • Just glanced at the spreadsheet and our team's results so far. We are definitely rocking this race!!! Even with a couple members who haven't posted for each day yet, we are so on track! Way to go team 1! Most of us have done roadblock one (the dance). I encourage everyone to try it. It doesn't take long, it's lots of fun…
  • Just saw Melodie answer some questions we might have, in the spreadsheet thread. Thought I'd copy and paste it here: hawkins410 wrote: » Hello @mallowbar! First, let me thank you so much for all your hard work on this!! There are a few questions floating around that I hope you will answer for us. 1. Traveling to…
  • Wow! Great to see all the posts here today! Rose, you are to be commended for avoiding all those amazing treats at work. I know how difficult that can be. Isn't it great to have excuses to decline them because of your personal goals? I keep telling myself I'm doing it for the team! Gayle, great advice about imagining how…
  • Glad you're all right!
  • @gawworthington Wow! I got exhausted just reading about your activity. Fantastic! Feels good doesn't it? I'm really enjoying the Greek food this week too! My mini Costco hummus packs are coming in handy!
  • You can do this! For yourself and for the team. Yesterday someone had made Chocloate Mess in a slow cooker in our staff room. Everyone was eating it with ice cream. It is absolutely delicious but I thought of you gals and resisted. Very difficult to do. But this challenge can work miracles! We're behind you all the way!
  • Something about going through this together really makes a difference doesn't it ? We are so lucky!
  • Thanks Isabelle! Amazing we are! In it to win it!!!!!
  • Just got home after a full day of teaching and then a 3 hour meeting. Would love to just collapse on the couch but need to squeeze in some zumba time to keep my activity minutes up! Love what this race does to me!!!! Thank you so much to a wonderful team I don't want to let down and to Melodie for organizing this!!!
  • All you gals and your great attitudes make leading this team a breeze! You are all superstars!!!
  • Oh. OK. I'll make sure Melodie is aware. Thanks!
  • Good news!
  • Yes. A great first day everyone! We rock! Well done. All posted except for Marji2busy. Haven't been able to hook up with her yet. Excellent start!!!
  • Welcome Tammy! Nice to meet you! I know you will enjoy Hawaii! How nice to have something like that to look forward to and to work towards. Thanks for posting!
  • Love reading success stories! That's terrific! What a great start! And yes we are a fabulous team!!! Thanks for sharing!
  • A reminder in case everyone did not get my warning at the start of all this: I will message you if you do not post your daily minutes on the spreadsheet by the following day. Not to be annoying; intended to keep you accountable to yourself and your team. Because TEAM #1 is AWESOME!!!!
  • A great start so far ladies! Last I checked we have already accumulated over 650 workout minutes and that's only half of the team who has posted so far!!! Yay! Keep it up!! Let's have everyone post before tomorrow!
  • I haven't heard from Marji2busy at all either. Also you should know that Cindalu1212 was mistakenly on two teams. She is not on our team anymore. I think she's on team 2. But I'm still cheering her on!! Good luck Lucinda! See you at the finish line !!!
  • FYI it's not required to post your progress in the threads for the sugar or the accountability challenges. (Too much additional posting for my liking). Just be sure to record your completion of it on the spreadsheet after you're done. Makes things simpler!!
  • Definitely no daily maximum for exercise. I post the total minutes of my deliberate exercise. I walk all day in my job and easily get 8 to 10 thousand steps just at work so I tend not to count those. I choose to count my regular exercise of stationary biking, workout videos and Zumba classes/video games. Today I did go…
  • Great advice!!!
  • It's up to you. I personally only count deliberate exercise. The times when I set my Fitbit to keep track. I know that means a lot isn't counted but it works for me.
  • Rose, I totally understand. The choices are somewhat confusing. The advice given to you was dead on. Look at the summary posted earlier here and use the spreadsheet to record the minutes of exercise and if you've done any of the road blocks. If it helps you can tell us what you've done and we can determine together which…
  • I have the first one which I don't use, the second one and the core one.
  • Ok ladies! This is it! Tomorrow is the big day! (At least in my time zone that is). Looking forward to seeing those minutes of activity being posted on the spreadsheet. If anyone is having difficulties with the spreadsheet let me know and I'll enter your numbers for you if necessary. I'm not on line during the day at work…
