  • That eating asparagus will detox your body and that's why it makes your urine smell. That the smell is the toxins being washed out. They even were making claims that eating large amounts could help cure cancer. No...just, no. The smell is caused by the by-products created when your body breaks down a sulphurous compound in…
  • Ehhh, they were really cheap and I really needed some because nothing I had fit me.
  • I don't argue on the internet, so idk about that, but I did have a sales lady in a store imply that I should look at different pants because the ones I had in my hand wouldn't fit someone my size. She came up and asked if I needed help, I said no, I'm fine, thanks, and I expected her to leave. She stood there looking at me…
  • Strange. Mine is set to sedentary as well. Then again I think it underestimates my calorie burn a bit. I calculated my input, output and actual results for the last month and it was underestimating my tdee by about 400 calories per week. Pretty close overall, though.
  • Mine doesn't start adding anything until I have at least 5000 steps in.
  • Doesn't look like what happens when I wear metal, but everyone's reactions are different I guess...looks more like a chemical burn or something. Weird. Does it itch or anything? ETA: did not realize this is a really old thread. Disregard. Lol.
  • I always made it fresh with the powder packets so I switched out the Mayo and sour cream with 0% fat Greek yogurt. Still tastes like ranch with less calories.
  • 11. Was left unsupervised for a moment during and managed to smack my forehead with the scope on the recoil. Giant goose egg, lol. I don't remember what kind it was, though. Not very high power.
  • When I feel like having creamer I use fairlife ultra filtered 2% milk. 1/4 cup, or 4 tbsp is only 30 calories. It seems creamier to me than regular milk (plus I buy it for my husband because it is easier on his stomach, they filter the lactose out). Sometimes I use cashew milk too. Way creamier than almond milk.
  • Grilled cheese sandwich and creamy tomato soup. But the grilled cheese has to be made on sourdough with garlic, parmesan and butter spread on before grilling. With extra sharp cheddar for flavor and American for gooeyness. I'm assuming in this world of limited food choices calories don't count. Lol.
  • I've not gotten pregnant, but I have always had irregular, or non-existent, periods. When I lost just the first 15 lbs I got the first one I had gotten in over 10 months and have gotten it every month since (5 months now, 35 lbs total down), which has never happened in my life except on BC pills. I am even ovulating, if…
  • Nice! This one is way more detailed, thanks!
  • If I take my vitamins (which includes a B vitamin mix) without eating enough first I get the icky-yucky shaky feeling. I'm also sensitive to energy drinks that include B12. Maybe the zip fizz thing has too much for you?
  • I use splenda, even though I typically hate sweeteners. Splenda is waaay better than aspartame or saccharine. I used to use a ton of international delight sweet cream creamer, but now I use better beans with 2 tsp of splenda, no cream. I like it better that way now.
  • I believe a cup of flour is 128 g. I use this website: http://dish.allrecipes.com/cup-to-gram-conversions/
  • That's why we chose it when we moved here. I was referring to Hampton roads as a whole, not just Virginia Beach. I actually like my neighborhood, I feel pretty safe here. It's also maybe just my perspective... I'm from Boise, ID originally. I'm just not used to seeing a shooting or robbery on the news everyday.
  • There's a lot of crime in Hampton Roads. Research neighborhoods a bit because some are pretty bad. I'm in Virginia Beach currently.
  • Does it have to be one or the other? I don't hate my body, but I don't really love it either...Overall I tend to be more positive, though, I don't feel that negativity is good for you in the long run. Mostly I'm just trying to learn how to respect and appreciate my body instead of taking it for granted. I've also had to…
  • Thanks. He's been told how important it is, he's just very stubborn. Impossible, really. I'm going to tell my mom what you suggested and what was suggested above. He had to send the chip from the machine into his doctor the other day and I'm hoping they call him in when they see he's not been using it. Thanks again, and I…
  • Has anyone here using a cpap machine found that the forced air has ruined their sense of smell and/or taste? My dad has started refusing to use his because of this and I'm just curious to see if anyone has any tips?
  • I started losing weight in July 2015 and then quit smoking in October 2015. I did it with the help of a e-cig, vape, whateveryouwannacallit. I started at 18mg nicotine and I'm down to 6mg now. I know they have a stigma (kinda douchey) but honestly I don't think I could have done it otherwise. It's definitely not a…
  • Nut butters. Or nuts in general. Super calorie dense.
  • Speed way up when it's clear and they can pass, slow waaay down when there's cars and they can't. Repeat. (For single lane hwys) One moron was following me so close I couldn't even see his head lights in my mirrors. I actively tried to allow him to pass me and when he wouldn't I got pissed off and decided to mess with him…
  • 5'5" 25y/o, no babies, 191 lbs today and measurements are 41/36/41. Im a ruler. Highest measurements were 46/39/49...it came off my shoulders, back, hips and legs first. My waist stayed at 38" for a long time, but it's finally shrinking. Hallelujah!
  • Problems here too. Should have had almost 300 calories added and it went down to 5 added at midnight. I hate seeing the red numbers, this is very frustrating.
  • 6 months in, 192nd day here and I've lost 31 lbs. Some days it feels so small...but I know it's really not. Feelings are stupid. I love all the data, though. Just bought a fitbit yesterday and I am already in love with it. The day I flipped that switch in my mind, learned and accepted the math and science of weight loss…
  • I find myself feeling fat and thinking that I haven't been at all successful...but then I think about when I was in the store buying dog food and how heavy the bag was...I've lost as much as that bag weighs and that is truly amazing to me. Halfway to goal, just 30 more to go!
  • Thanks for the replies! I've tried coal tar, acv, and the pyrithione zinc products and none of those worked...sorry I forgot about those when listing things above. I am going to try the salicylic acid shampoo or maybe another called nizoral. Maybe the cetaphyl also for my face. My mom also has been pushing me to buy some B…
  • I just want some relief until I can ask a doctor about it. I'm thinking it's seborrhoeic dermatitis from the pattern that it's affecting, which is thought to be caused by yeast-like fungus... Also, I moved last summer from a dry climate to a humid one, kinda thought it would have the opposite effect but who knows...
  • I wash my hair every 3 days or so, any more and it compounds the issue and dries everything out. I wash my face once a day with mild soap. I have not talked to a doctor about it yet, planning to do so at my next visit. Last time I went it was under control with the Selsun so I didn't think to ask.
