  • Swap of how you think / do, if you have larger container that you are scooping out of, put entire container on scale tare it to zero then portion out, negative value is your portion. I do this for mayo, sour cream or peanut butter.

  • Congrats on the 365 achievement & well deserved results! @alisampm Appreciate the thoughtful post, helps to put perspective around more than just a number on a scale. Often hear it is not about the weight lose, but the life you gain.
  • @joone_9 big hugs & sending you strength! When I was traveling for work with hotel kitchenette, I would hit up Target for their refrig prepared proteins & produce or Whole Foods instead of eating out. I'm not sure if it is option for you at this time, but a thought in case it is. I don't post much myself either, but I will…

  • Adding plain whole milk greek yogurt to ranch dressing to make dip or get more dressing for less calories + protein. Mixing 1:1 plain whole milk greek yogurt with premixed yogurt, flavor isn't as intense, but I find them crazy sweet, helps to dial it in. Could go lower or non fat greek yogurt as well if that's your cuppa…

  • @_inHisGrace I started out by weighing and logging what I was eating then stepping down from there. Here is online TDEE calculator https://tdeecalculator.net/result.php?s=imperial&g=female&age=42&lbs=305&in=61&act=1.2&f=2 I did it off similar stats you previously provided, but remember it is a sliding scale based on the…
  • @MuttiNM @Firefly743 Suggest researching TDEE, including maintenance versus deficit, as it will help explain calorie changes as you change. 10-20 lbs is good baseline for review. It was my Oprah ah-ha moment once I understood it. Lots of online calculators. You don't lose fat cells themselves, you use their energy per say…
  • Additional some people's bodies react differently to the various artificial sweeteners, holding more water weight etc. I eat artificial sweeteners, just try to limit them. I'm more about the whole foods / close to source approach, but that by my choice. My protein powder uses them as well. Protein shake in place of…

  • Sugar free jello tastes a lot like regular jello. I know it's not clean, but if you need a volume fix. I like adding little less water plus frozen strawberries which helps it set up quicker.

  • 1 - 16 oz bottle of favorite ranch (Kens) + 1 - 32 oz of non-fat plain greek yogurt (Costco) + 1 pkt dry ranch seasoning = yogurt ranch dip / dressing. I use a plastic sandwich bag with the corner cut to refill the dressing bottle and put the remainder back in the yogurt container.
