Thanks @hamlet1222, actually I used to have porridge about 90 minutes before a race (made with water) and it was ok. You're right about the experimenting though, I have got to find something that works for me. I believe a lot of it is psychological too (well with me anyway)!

I got a Charge HR about a month ago. It hasn't made any difference to the steps I take, just confirmed what I already knew...that I move a lot for someone with 2 desk jobs. I'm more interested in heart rate and sleep that are measured on it. I am a really light sleeper and never sleep through the night. I've been taking…

Welcome to MFP. The community here is great for motivating each other! :)

I'm at 10k level and I mix it up. I do a core body conditioning class once a week and try to remember to practice planks several times a week. I also spin once a week and find that the spin class helped my core (and runners knee when I had it) the best. I have a tilted pelvis and got really bad runners knee this summer.…

I hadn't heard that. I know personally I'm heavier by up to 4lbs sometimes and put this down to water retention.

I'm the same! I LOVE eggs and would probably eat an average of 2 a day. I had my cholesterol tested last month and its low. So its all good :)
-
Anyone can add me. I'm here daily and most days am quite active. My diary is open too :)

10 calories per m and m? They are my favourite and we've a load left over from Halloween. I'm going to savour every last one of them!
-
I'd love to complete 10k well under an hour with minutes to spare. And I'd love to be able to say "Half marathon? Sign me up" and mean it.
-
I have one of these....and I've yet to try it!
-
I'm in for 60k. Given my running fitness that's very ambitious but I'm hoping it will help me keep motivated in the cold dark winter evenings.
-
I'm here daily and love the support of the community. Anyone can add me.

I've lost 10 lbs so far, 15 more to go to my goal, 20 to go for a bonus! I'm here daily, quite active. Find the support and accountability here really awesome. In my experience having the body I really want (and not the one I'll say "will do") is really tough so the more support the better!

I'm active daily. I have lost 10lbs but really would like to lose another 20.
-
I'm hoping to lose 10 pounds by Christmas. I was doing great but a bad October really set me back.
-
This has my mouth watering. I will be trying this over the weekend I think! Thanks @Kalikel
-
Thank you...I hope so! :)

Probably not the best time to be posting this...before a Halloween weekend. But today Halloween is over, its a new week. Time to cop myself on and realise I am worth the success.
-
Thanks @BZAH10 @Auna01 not a bad idea! A recovery club. Its like I'm afraid of the success in some respects.

@shinycrazy today is my weigh in day, I "forgot" and had bacon, egg, hash brown and toast for breakfast so I hear you. And I'm getting take out later for dinner. I'm the same I've "deprived" myself all week so feel I need a treat. I have to somehow accept that eating healthy is treating myself!

The way my life is now I'd have to say no, I have college commitments before and after work 3 days a week. That would mean lugging the equipment on trains, trams and buses and to college. I work with 3 VDUs so that's a lot of equipment to bring on 6 modes of public transport a day! However hypothetically if I had 1 VDU…

I have to admit I'm not proud of this at all. I hope that me making the connection means I can stop the cycle.
-
If that money was on top of work salary, they provided a car parking space and insured the equipment then yes I would.
-
I'm the same. I work full time, in college at the weekends and also in the evenings after work and as part of my course have to work part time towards accreditation. Its very hard to stay motivated sometimes.
-
I admire you. You probably have more energy now than ever before. That's a wonderful achievement for anybody! I couldn't believe when I read you are 66. What an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your progress.
-
I'm here daily. I also need accountability! Big time and the community here really helps.

When I started here just 2.5 months ago I ate all my exercise calories back. I lost every week. In the last 3 weeks thereabouts I've upped my workouts and now eat back about 60-80% of my workout calories. My weight loss has slowed but I'm definitely still losing inches. For me I see it as fuelling the workouts so even…

Count me in too please :)
-
That's some achievement! Well done.

Well done. Great to see your progress and I love your attitude towards food and fitness.
