  • Hi, we have very similar goals. SW 12s8 CW 12s.02 (I have been stuck here for 2 weeks!) GW 10s10 I would love to be 11 - 11.5 by Christmas. I seem to be stuck for the last 2 weeks although I had my TOM in that time so hoping the next few days will bring me under 12s.
  • I ended up getting take away last night!!! haha
  • Yeah I use Tescos too to check my calories. Sure I live right beside one so its handy. Enjoy your take away whatever you get. If you're going to splurge do it guilt free :)
  • I am on day 6 level 1. I don't do it daily though. Not sure how anyone could! I've a 5k this Sunday so I'm running some days doing the shred on others. So I reckon I'm working through it at a slower pace.
  • I love my take aways too and have tried not to cut them out so as not to deprive the other half. I get the Tesco microwave wholegrain rice and have a half a portion of that with my Chinese. I also just have half the dish. The next day I might have the other half or he can bring it in for lunch. I was on this site maybe a…
  • I met with my doctor 2 weeks ago. She advised I lose about 15-20lbs before I start trying for a baby. I've another year in college so I'm using this time to study, eat right and get fit. Hopefully then come spring...
  • Well I am 12 stone 0.4. I wanted so badly to get under 12 stone at my last weigh in but it stayed in the same place. Due another weigh in tomorrow and here's hoping. I've no problem telling you guys but seriously I don't think I'll tell my mum again!
  • I'm definitely going to be using some of these suggestions! OP I hope your work meal went well.
  • @jedin97 thank you for that! Very inspiring.
  • I'm so glad I asked! Some really awesome suggestions here. Plus a laugh! Snails for dinner? Brilliant.
  • Been mixing it up with spinning and running. I was going daily, now its 3 x a week. At least I'm still working out!
  • Completed week 5, day 2 today. Feeling it now. The next one is 20 minutes running with no break. Looking forward to it :)
  • Best of luck and I believe laughing burns extra calories so FR sent :)
  • I had no idea how I weighed so much until I started logging everything. It was shocking! I realised I ate way too much. Its been a challenge sticking with my calorie goals and I went over almost every day at the start. I'm only here 7 weeks and already I'm making better food choices. I'm also trying to hit my goal 5 days a…
  • Great idea. Would be good if MFP had this feature to save calories. I hate seeing that I went over my calorie goal but thats on the days I eat out, when I cook at home I'm usually under so it balances I reckon. Would be nice to have a feature here that does that rather than having to work it out manually.
  • I've wondered the same thing and would love if MFP had a way of saving them up to cash them in at a later date. I eat out a lot but when I'm at home I'm usually quite good. So I reckon I balance but motivationally speaking it would help me to not see that I've "gone over" my calorie allowance and on average I reckon I…
  • How did that feel? Well done on coming out and on the loss. :)
  • Its the only time I have sugar cravings. I want loads of salty carbs and it will probably be the only time you will see chocolate more than once in a week in my food diary. I just feel hungry even though I know I'm not. And protein, healthy foods do nothing for me. This time I've really really tried to be good but my…
  • THIS! I would go over my calories every day if it wasnt for this. By logging my exercise my calorie allowance increases. In the few weeks I'm here I've learned that when I want a treat I can work for it if I want to stay under my calorie goal. I still go over about 2 times a week but overall I'm a lot better than I was…
  • I agree. I dont exercise every single day but I never have a day where I dont move. I always get off the bus a stop early to have an extra walk. When I'm brushing my teeth at night now I hold a squat position and lock my core. When I'm cooking I do side steps. So I guess I do "exercise" every day but I want MOVING to be a…
  • Great idea! I have a garmin with a HRM and am getting back into running. I've been doing the c25k but its not working for me as well as it once did. I might try it just on heart rate alone.
  • I've learned that while I thought I was healthy I was kidding myself. I ate way too much food and somehow I was surprised I was putting on weight. I eat out a lot and while I love it it costs serious calories. I've learned how to "work for it" and have upped the amount of workouts I do. Alcohol is empty calories. This is…
  • I'm in a similar place the last week to 10 days. I've had consistent weight loss, been really pleased and then outta the blue went up for no real reason I could see. I'm now back to where I was 10 days ago (and today is the last day of my period). So I figure it must be a monthly thing but my weight has fluctuated by 4lbs.…
  • I havent started trying yet but planning to in maybe 6 months. I've discussed it with my doctor and she recommended I lose some weight and become healthier. She said given my age (will be 36 when trying for my first) I should do everything to optimise my health. Thats the final push I needed to do something about my health…
  • @Russandol I totally get that, people see me as fatter when they know what I weigh.
  • @MrsSgtBerger what fantastic success! Well done.
  • I really think its awful how ashamed people feel about weight. I think people will look at me differently, they look at me and see normal, when they learn my weight they see fat. I'm only just starting to come out about it and its mad, there are some people I'd hate knowing what the scales say...and really it shouldn't…
  • Used to run and just getting back into it since the summer. Two 5ks done since July, another one next week and then moving to a 10k in November. Love running when I'm running fit but getting back into it is a killer! However I know what its like to feel wings under my feet as I flow over tough terrain trails and hope to be…
  • I'm trying to mix up the workouts so I'm focusing on different muscle groups. That has worked well this week. I guess I'll never have a day of complete rest. When in work I walk to my bus, at weekends I clean. But I am trying to workout as efficiently as I can. I believe it is stress on the body that gradually changes it…
