Judging from your appearance, I'd say a consistent lifting program and maintenance calories would be a good start. You don't have much muscle, but that's not suprising considering how you lost weight. Considering you're male and blessed with testosterone start lifting regularly and you'll start seeing big changes,…

Arbonne Phytosport Pre-Workout is your best best - contains L-Carnitine which helps your body use fat for energy. Not to be had as a regular drink though - just before a workout or exercise.. As everyone has said though - eating and exercise will make the biggest difference & to be lean you've gotta just stick to water as…

Hi Nick.. just like with Powerlifting, if you want to get better at something specific do it regularly. So if yu're focusing on pushups, situps, chin ups, short distance and longer distance running then do those movement patterns! Pushups, chest press and cable press will help with the pushups; chin ups, pull ups, lat pull…

STARVATION MODE ISN'T A MYTH!!!! :hushed: Have a look at www.dramandaonline.com - she has devoted her entire life and all her studies to the famine reaction and 'fat brake' and it is definately not a myth, but certainly doesn't occur as quickly as people think. If your plateau is accompanied by low energy, low body…

I think the problem arises when we start thinking we don't have a choice. You have a choice. You can eat all the rubbish and be overweight and unhealthy but then your thoughts will not resent calorie counting and the fact that your husband can eat things you can't, instead they will be resenting the fact that you do eat…

all macros!! don't worry about the calories, stick to your macros. It's important that you get enough protein for example even if you're hitting your cals if you're not getting enough then you could be losing muscle not fat, if you're undereating carbs then you could be losing water not fat and if you're undereating or…

Congratulations for taking the first step! It's the hardest one of all :) I always suggest to my clients to start with positive affirmations. Every morning wake up and say "I can do this. I am fit and healthy. I make the best choices for my body" 10 times in the mirror and really mean it! It's hard at first but you'll get…

Don't worry about tracking - 1/4 plate lean protein, 1/4 plate carbs, 1/2 plate vegetables. Water only (no other drinks) & black coffee only. Stop eating processed food. Focus on 5 serves of veg & 2 serves of fruit a day and while aiming to get that he'll lose weight. If he wants a treat make it SMALL and a snack after…

I read a study once that said it doesn't make a difference.. plus I reckon you'd push more in the half hour because you know it's over sooner ;)

Yep - BCAAs (branched chain amino acids) really help with recovery, as does magnesium and stretching!! I never used to take them and now I do and I am barely ever sore!!

Definitely good for when you want something sweet or something on the run.. definitely pricey but I'm happy to spend money on food :) You've got to find your flavours though, I only like choc chip cookie dough, cinnamon roll occasionally, mint choc sometimes and the peanut butter one is off the hook. Good for things like…

do you count macros? what're your fats like? eating energy dense foods helps eg. nuts, fattier meats etc. When you say 'clean bulk' what do you mean like are you trying to increase your muscle mass while staying lean?

I went on a hike in NZ & the guides told me the Japanese tourists have their oats with shredded lettuce, a tin of tuna and a sachet of miso.. it's delicious!!!

Hey hun, just from my personal experience as a female there are two reasons why you could be 14% and have extra belly fat. 1. Sugar or salt. I store either extra fat or extra fluid around my organs when I'm eating too much sugar and salt. Cut the sugars down (even fruit) and salt for a couple of weeks and see how you go.…
