You're so right. I am starting to come to this realisation now that I'm three weeks into my weight loss. I keep getting on the scale every morning ' just to check' and feeling disappointed that the numbers haven't magically moved, when really I should be amazed that I'm just three short weeks I am 11lbs lighter, and weigh…

ok, so I should basically be eating the 1700 that MFP has recommended for me? I told it when I was setting up that I wanted to lose 2lbs per week, so it will have already subtracted my deficit, am I understanding that correctly? I'm sorry, this really confused me! Maths is not my strong suit.

Thanks, everyone, I think I am definitely going to look into investing in a better bra, and get some deo or anti-chafe roll on in the meantime! Though ingenious, I don't think i will need to go the route of the pantyliner in between, the problem is more 'central' less 'underneath' or 'between' if you know what I mean!

Thanks for the ideas :) I never thought of using deodorant!

Could I just sprinkle baby powder in my sports bra?

two little ones for me :) 1) on monday i bought a new winter coat in a size smaller than i usually wear and it fits comfortably  2) today i FINALLY fulfilled a new year's resolution and joined a gym. only 9 months late!

i can't wait to wear a dress without leggings and a cardigan to cover my legs and upper arms. i can't wait to shop in the stores that only go up to a size 14 (uk). i can't wait to look for a size at the front rather than right at the back of the rail. i can't wait to get all the tattoos i have planned on parts of me i…

this happened to me, too, and it actually worries me a lot. about ten years ago i lost about 45lbs and went from a uk18 to a uk14 (i think about a us14 to a us10?) but i couldn't see any difference in myself, even though i knew i was wearing clothes in a size i had previously only dreamed of being. anywho, i quickly piled…

hi! i've been here 4 days now so still looking for pals! i'm 28, so the big 3-0 is looming for me, too. i have 84lbs to lose and i want to look better at 30 than i did at 20! shall we make a 'by 30' pact? ;)

hahaha! i'm getting a head-start, none of this youthful tomfoolery ;)

thanks everyone, it's good to know i can still do this without veg :) someday i hope i can overcome my aversion, life would be so much easier!

thanks everyone for responding, btw :)

I seem to be ok on my carb macro, but i'm getting too much protein and not enough fat. would you recommend nuts and legumes for fats? are the macros the things you should be paying most attention to?
-
it's all veg, really. the most i can manage with potatoes is roasted, but even then i'm fussy. i don't eat sweet potato or corn etc. the veg i hate most is peppers. and i hate the ones with a sweet taste like carrots or parsnips. honestly, though, i think it must be more than just a taste/texture thing since i don't eat…

i hadn't even heard of disordered eating, but i will definitely look into it now!

palatable is one thing, less frightening is another. you're correct that i'm not particularly interested in advice on how to eat vegetables, which is why i asked for advice on alternatives.

i mostly eat wholemeal pasta and rice, chicken, tuna, fruits (mainly berries), dairy products. i know it's not great to be loading up on carbs though, so i'm trying to cut down but i don't know what i can substitute them for :(
