Ok-this is really a SV instead of an NSV but I had to celebrate -I'm under 200 pounds! It has been over 20 years since I've been this weight! Wow! I am very close to my GW and feeling great! Congratulations to all of us for the hard work!

I'm 6'1. I started out at 250 and am currently hovering around 200. My goal is to maintain between 190-195 for awhile and then see if I want to go lower or not. I might aim for a very small deficit (-150) and see where I end up. Might just aim for some slow recomp at 190.

Love your t-shirt too!

Am considering doing the Zombie 5k running program! AM also close to goal!

Was on a plane today and realied the seat felt really spacious!! Also, I think my feet are a bit smaller and I can wear some shoes I bought that were too small. Finally, and most important, I think I I've got this now...I feel like this way of eating is going to be sustainable for the long term. Feels good!

You look beautiful- and I love your smile! I can feel your energy coming through your picture!

A fun NSV to share: I participate in a recreational soccer league, and I used to volunteer to play goalkeeper for 1/2 the game because 45 minutes of running around was too much for me. Now, I can play the full 90 minutes! I have also mocked from XL to L size soccer tops!

OP-love your picture! You look like you are having a lot of fun!

I would say you are a success right now! Good work and good luck as you continue! (I am also about 44 pounds down and have another 10 or so to go!)

When I first heard about the device- I was fairly quick to judge. However, I recently read this article by Yoni Freedhoff- a bariatric doctor- who is very vigilant about calling out weight bias when he sees it. I realized that I had been judging people who would even consider it.…

I was obese. I was very healthy. All my blood work numbers were excellent. I exercised regularly, both intensely and lightly. I ate (mostly) healthy foods. I probably had more risk of developing type 2 diabetes than a similarly exercising bmi peer of 22-24. But maybe I had less risk than a non-exercising peer with a bmi of…

2743+ 50= 2793

Starting at 33. Not 100% sure where I'll end up. Probably around 26.

I have lost about 40 pounds and have about 12 to go. I'm now set at a ,5 pounds a week loss and it is very slow! But this is about a lifestyle change and I probably need to take the time.

I am close to maintenance and I suspect I will end up at 26 BMI. I'm planning to either wait until I stop losing and find out what my maintenance will be, or another 12 pounds. Whatever comes first. I think I will log for some time to come... Intuitive eating didn't work so well for me.

I've had it 3 times (at 205, 210 and 240). The first two times I cured it by getting pregnant! This was not an option the third time ;) Along with the calf stretches and massages on the bottom of the feet, I also tried ESWT- shock wave therapy- this helped a lot. Reduced my pain by 75%. The final thing that helped was…

Love this.

This! I "plateau" for 3-5 weeks- then I "lose" 3-6 pounds. I eat the same (more or less) all the weeks. Even though I know this, it's still frustrating to be in the "plateau" stage.

I am almost at maintenance, and I think I'll stop around BMI 26. I want to be able to eat lots at maintenance. Nice to hear of fellow MFPers who aren’t necessarily going to the low end of their BMI. Good to have a range!

Just got a beautiful mother's day breakfast made by my two daughters. One of my daughter's wrote: I am so proud of you for achieving your health goals. Best NSV! Happy Mother's Day!

This! Aim for your best weight (the lowest weight you can happily maintain and still love life)
-
I will guesstimate based on the components, then I'll quick add 100 to 200 depending on the meal.

This is important for us to be aware of. For some people it is not really difficult. For others it is extremely difficult. While I'm all for people taking responsibility for themselves, some people have a harder road than others. Knowing this can help us have more compassion for ourselves and others.

This makes sense to me. Once we have an idea of how much we eat and we have a chance to experiment with eating at different levels we need to choose something that we can live with for a long time. Essentially the healthiest weight that we can sustain happily. I'm happy to trade a BMI of 25 or 26 with more calories per day…

Hi I think just going down a bit-2000 or even more-and the gradually lowering it slowly is a great approach. There is no hurry. I find that when I feel restricted, I want to rebel-and eat damn it. Not sure who I'm damning! I'm working on seeing the distinction between restraint and restricton. Restriction feels like it…

Add butter! And I second the roasting (with some olive oil ). Also, keep trying. We can retrain our taste buds, but we need to keep trying and tasting.

I do weights 2-3 times a week. Sometimes I do a different body part each workout, sometimes a do a whole body workout each time. Sometimes I do low reps and high weight, sometimes higher reps and lower weights. I also walk everyday and do more intense cardio 1-3 times a week (soccer tennis, walk/jog/sprint)
