Ok, well regardless of that. My opinion on this new topic- that much hiit is not necessary at this point. And if you decide to do it anyhow, you may want to consider eating more calories.
-
I wouldn't start out with 30 min 3x a week of hiit unless you really need to burn the calories because your intake is extremely low. Even then, I don't think 30 minutes of hiit is optimal. Typically people start cardio at a lower amount of time, and add more time or sessions as they progress into the cut. That way you…

I was going to the gym faithfully for two years, I never missed a workout. I challenged myself, tried harder every day, I was almost always sore. And.. I gained 30 lbs during that time. Look at your logging. Are you weighing everything you eat? Are you eating back too many exercise calories? It wasn't until I got my diet…

Are you logging accurately? Weighing everything you eat? Being active really helps me drop pounds. I stopped walking during the winter and had to adjust my calories because of that. Now that I'm back at it I can eat more/lose faster! I know the struggle though, I'm working on eating more "volume foods" like veggies to help…

I second the Bolthouse! I don't even need 2 TBS most of the time and I love the ranch for salads or dipping raw veggies. I need to try some of the other kinds! My other favorite is Olive Garden Italian which I have found at Walmart in regular and "light", I find that goes a long ways with just a little.

The main thing is to find something you enjoy and will stick with. Walking is good! Weight lifting is also great, and it can help preserve muscle you already have while losing weight. I understand the struggle of finding a program and equipment not being available. I like to pick a muscle group to focus on, and I just work…

An incline of 10 is no joke! (I hate anything about 4 or 5 lol) definitely going to burn some calories doing that, especially if you are heavier.
At *most,* metabolisms vary by a couple hundred calories per day. Nobody's metabolism will be so fast or so slow that they will have a difference of thousands of calories from an average person's in a given day.
This. Even if a person has a "slow" metabolism, it's just slower than "average". That doesn't…

Did you close your diary because people are calling you out on it? Because you asked for help and they are being honest. For most people not logging faithfully is the biggest issue.
-
How did you arrive at 1500 calories? That seems extremely low for a 5'8'' male who will be lifting... Since you are new to lifting you may see great body recomp without having to cut right now. Maybe try maintenance cals for a few months.
-
Not trying to be a "weight gain critic" but, I don't think you will find many people who want to gain that much fat.. Someone who is lifting weights and trying to bulk to add muscle will aim for maybe 1 lb a week max. (When I bulk I am going to aim for a gain of about 2 lbs a month.) Why are you aiming for so much fat…

Calorie cycling isn't "necessary", but for some people it works well for adherence sake to have one or two higher calorie days a week. I don't think this is what the OP was referring to though.

I eat almost half of my calories after 8pm (post workout) And I usually plan some kind of treat for this time. Works great for me!

If you're not seeing anything at 19%, you may need to be more in the 14-15% range. (The typical caliper or online calculator methods are pretty inaccurate. So you could be higher than you think if you're getting your number from something like that.) But again, this isn't a healthy place to be long term. Many bikini/figure…

I think typically a bodyfat percent below 20% is needed for women to see some ab definition, some may need to be lower than others. For a really defined 6 pack, probably closer to 15%. This isn't usually a bodyfat that is sustainable for women long term though.

I typically don't eat breakfast because I don't feel like eating as soon as I wake up. Sometimes I grab a protein bar or other small snack to eat mid morning in case I do end up getting hungry later, but most days I just save my breakfast calories for later in the day. I exercise in the evening, so this works fine for me.…

5'0'', 22 years old. Currently 185 lbs, down from 215 while eating 2000-2200 a day. I cry if I eat below 2000, but alas the curse of being a tiny person!

I peeked your profile and diary, (sorry!) and a few things I noticed - (Without knowing your stats) your goal says you have a lot of weight to lose, and your calorie goal is quite low in comparison. I'm guessing you can eat MUCH more than 1300 calories. Most of your diary entries appear to be beverage related. Drinking…
