Take it slow. Pushing yourself in excess on Day One will lead to burn out. Conquer the eating habits first by dedicating yourself to logging every day, every morsel that goes into your mouth. You won't be able to exercise off all the excess calories, so practice better eating. Walking is a good exercise to begin with, and…

When some of us get here, we are gung ho and want to be super precise, and we want it done yesterday...lol. This place while not perfect gives us tools to change out of a pattern we have long become use to. OP...just trust the process.

What an inspiration you are! Take it on the road....just kidding. I hope your inner circle is in shock and awe too. Well done!

Kindness to others. I paraphrase.....The kindness shown to another who can do nothing for him, is the mark of a great man. Doesn't hurt if his hygiene is good, and ok looking.

Welcome! Fill out your profile. Knowing why you want to do this will keep you going in the right direction. Reread it when the going gets tough.

Well most people have goals. And it starts by deciding: 1. What is it that you want? 2. Why do you want it? I can assume you want to lose weight (or gain). But why do you want it? Do you want to be healthier? Why? Do you want to wear smaller sized clothes? Why? Do you want more energy? Why? Etc. When you can answer the…

One person's junk is another one's treasure. Instead of punishment, how bout we get tax write-off's with proof of good health.

.................... And today I'm struggling to not go to the grocery store. I've had a good week so far, but today is hard.
I know how you feel. I'm stressed at work. I use to always stop by the store before I got home. I haven't done so in the last two weeks. I always eat something salty, savory with a few…

The exercised I used was to sit in a chair, cross leg on side the pain is at across other let where ankle is over the knee, and then bend forward as far as you can. I would do this several times a day. I feel for you.

.....or die in a car accident.....I agree....life is to be enjoyed but there is moderation in everything. We who are on MFP understand that now. You can eat, drink whatever you want, just not everyday.

Of course, in the early years when life was one big party..... ...... then came added responsibilities of adulting, parenthood, singledom with parenting, financial stress of the economic downturn....everything I put in my mouth was to numb the feelings of "I'm scared." Exercise would have been a better choice and fun too,…

Regretful....for not making better health choices earlier in life.

Keep eating there and your taste buds won't change. You will continue to crave it. My teenager I use to drive to McDonalds and sometimes I can say no to the one fry or two and sometimes I eat half. Really am disappointed with myself afterwards for the lack of willpower. Glad she's driving. And you know, the make this food…

You might be pregnant..... :)

If you want to breastfeed, obviously don't. I am iddle aged woman and went from a 34C at age 38 to now a 44DD cause of pregnancy weight gain and 10 years of putting back on what I lost when my kid turned 5. Now reducing weight, my boobs are starting to sag. Not that they weren't going to but *kitten, kind of like a…

Why do you feel a need to tell them? If they want to know they will ask. I'm sure when you start looking lean and trim, they will become intrigued and if interested in the how to, they know you can give them some answers. I like to shock and awe people so I haven't said anything. It will become obvious soon enough.…

Eat what I want just less of it. Take a nice walk after eating. Start back next day.

I never had to diet until after my baby was born at age 38. I gained a lot of weight, it was hard coming off cause of the BC pills and also breastfeeding my baby for over a year, not to mention cooking like I had a family of 10! Went back to work, and stress really climbed so stress eating was par for the course. When I…

Check out the Success Stories thread. Highly motivational. Everyone has challenges to overcome. The ones who fail are those don't get back up when they fall down, cause its almost a guarantee you will go over your calories one day or another, and decide not to log it in. Only you can see your diary unless you open it up to…

Regardless, she mad and hasn't been back.
I think she's not back cause two medical professionals called her out on the facts of her "story."

Welcome. Go to the Success Stories thread for a start. Send anyone one of them a friend request.

Frankly, I can't clean unless I have a glass of wine....I feel overwhelmed with all I have to do so the wine kinda blunts the anxiety I feel. One day, when I get to a place of minimalism in my home (NSV - goal), THEN I can clean and drink water. Sad but true. :/

My eyes popped open and a quick intake of air....as in SHOCK. If I had anything in my mouth I would have spit it out. OMG YOU LOOK AMAZING!!!! By far one of the top 10 pictures of transformation I've seen on this site, and I have been looking at plenty. Wow....

@sgtx81 this is not meant as a criticism more as a way we can enjoy the information you give. I could not read your post...it looks like one big run on sentence. Sorry. Can you hit the enter button after 3 or 4 sentences. It would make it enjoyable to read.
