You can't control other people's behavior. You can only control your own.

Nope, thats a feeble excuse... Before I eat ANYTHING, I ask myself why am I eating this. If the answer is anything but "I'm hungry" I don't eat it. If the answer IS "I'm hungry" then I ask myself how this food item fits in with my diet plan. If it works I eat it. If not I don't. I'm mindful of what I eat and how it meshes…

Be mindful. Before I eat anything I ask myself "Why am I eating this?" If the answer is anything other than "I'm hungry" I put it down.

I'd do it as long as I didn't have to touch my opponent.

I have the Withings. I like its display better than the Aria's.

You'll need to charge up your Flux Capacitor. The only way that's going to happen is with a time machine.

Simple, don't eat it. “Do or do not. There is no try.” – Yoda

Podcasts are my treadmill activity. I used to do Netflix but my new gym doesn't have working WiFi.

Me too... I'm too busy getting my own butt to the gym.

I actually left a chain gym because they posted steroid warning posters in the men's locker room. I took this as insight into their clientele.

I was very specific in stating MY PREFERENCES. If you're thin and a granny you wouldn't fit the data set now would you?

+ 1 for the Yoda paraphrase.

+1 I like fat grannies better than roid heads.

This! Right in front of his client. Each and every time you see him. Bonus points if you do it in front of others and they start using it. Here's an example.…

I suck at estimating portions. I use a food to weight anything I can. It's become a habit. It take no more time for me than using a volumetric measure. For me the key is having the scale available. If I have to hunt for it thats a problem. To avoid this I have one on the kitchen counter for meal prep and another on the…

You lost me at Dr. Oz.

I do my thing, she does her's. If the stars align we eat a common meal. If not I cook what meets my needs, she cooks what meets her needs.

I would seek out an endocrinologist. I've seen quite a few folks who's GP has tried to treat their diabetes. Things usually go in the ditch and they wind up at the endo. Diabetes is a complex condition. One sad aside. When I first saw my endo I decided we were going to treat this with diet and exercise. He smirked and said…

This! I see people at the gym all the time walking at 1 mph. If that's all you can do, its better than nothing. But a funny thing seems to happen. That 1 turns into a 2, then a 3 and then the incline starts going up on the treadmill. You have to start somewhere.

I've been noticing this too. It's like loosing weight was Morpheus' red pill. :)

Works great if you have no body hair. For those of us that do, an electrode gel greatly helps conduction.

+1 I prefer Digifit over the Polar app.

I have a Polar H7. It cost ~$55. It talks to all of the LifeFitness treadmills at Planet Fitness. It works for me.
