Frosted Mini Wheats with whole milk or a 2 egg omelet with shredded swiss cheese and some buttered toast.

Every Saturday I cook enough of whatever meat I'm eating for dinner for the week and vacuum seal it in portions. Couple that with a bag of microwaveable veggies and you have about a 10 minute cook time during weeknights. For lunch, I'm a sandwich kind of guy so prep for that isn't a big deal. Simple cereal and milk for…

I plan my next week's meals on Fridays. This not only keeps me on track, but also helps with my grocery list.
-
I go by the following: * Eat less (i.e. track intake); * Move more (i.e. exercise); * Stay hydrated; * Get adequate rest; and * Don't stress over it. Like all journeys, we are bound to trip and fall every now and again. It's what we do after the fall that determines whether or not we reach our destination.

I pre-log every Saturday for the entire upcoming week. Helps me considerably with shopping. If something changes, then I edit my diary.

After reading what I typed, I apologize to everyone. I was insensitive to the anti-sugar folks. I will strive to keep my comments to myself when it comes to sugar (it's the best) LOL
-
Then knock your socks off. For me, nothing beats real sugar

I love bread. Some hot sourdough right out of the oven topped with garlic and butter. Good stuff. But I pre-plan my day and only eat what is on that menu. Plan your menu ahead of time and fit the bread in when you can

I agree, junk, but they will only be successful if they truly want it themselves. Only my opinion.

Sugar is better than sugar substitutes. However, to me it's not worth the loss in taste. I'd rather put the cookie down and step away.
-
Actually we are arguing the same point but from different directions.
-
Actually stepping away is much more effective. There is a zero gain.

I admire your quest to lose weight, but why do you need someone else to hold you accountable? The only way someone succeeds is if they have self-accountability. A support system after that is just icing on the cake.
-
It's the most effective way perhaps? I'm allergic to somethings so I just don't eat them. That mitigates your diabetes argument. Secondly, reducing calories at the cost of taste just seems silly to me. You can just eat less or like I said not eat them.

Awesome, SLL

I kept it healthy and didn't eat a salad. Ate a pit roasted wild pig with carrots, potatoes, and rolls.
-
Think of it this way. You lost it before and you can do it again.
-
Don't weigh yourself until after the New Year. Why ruin a good time?...lol
-
Volume eat the veggies or supplement them with a delicious steak or other meat
-
There is a better option than sugar substitutes in baked goods. It's called not eating them. Put the cookie down and step away.
-
It's true lol
