Thank you. I'm going to experiment with different meal ideas. I unexpectantly wasn't home this evening to cook dinner and was at my Dad's, so it threw off my original plan for this evening. I appreciate your feedback :). Thanks :)

If I consider a window of time, would it be reasonable to look at a 3/4 hour window perhaps? Or should I try to get more calorie dense food? I do not want to lose muscle mass, so I would like to try to eat a reasonable amount of protein, in particular. I was thinking of having a protein drink with my meal; which would add…

How do we get enough calories in for our OMAD when we are not big eaters? My calories yesterday and today (days 1 and 2) are fairly low. Thanks :). Elizabeth Maryam

Thank you :)

I have had big chunks of posts disappear. Others have had the same problem. What we had in common was using "emoji" from a mobile phone and MFP seems to cut the post off wherever an emoji from a mobile phone is used. I am not certain if this is the situation with your posts; but perhaps it is. I hope you come back. I'm…

@samgamgee Thanks :). So do you eat your OMAD later in the day? That is what I think I will do; but I was curious what others do. Thank you :)

...your name or preferred username Elizabeth Maryam ...your weight 152 lbs ...your height 5'1.5" ...past struggles you've faced/are facing I could likely write a book here; but I won't ...lol. I am almost 49 (July). I was always around 110 lbs most of my life until I was apx 44/45 and had a medical situation whereby I…

Very inspiring :). Thank you :). I was curious what time of day you do your runs in relation to when you have you OMAD. Thanks :). Elizabeth Maryam

Thanks :). That's great that you can go with just salting your food :). Hopefully I can do something similar :). Take care, Elizabeth Maryam

Thanks :). *Thumbs up. I am actually going to cancel one appointment now. Thanks again. Take care :)

Thanks :). They had all the criteria. The wellness dr has known me since before I even gained this weight 4/5 years ago. I think the issue is what you initially stated, that they follow 1 model fits all approach. I suspect they follow Health Canada Guidelines; but again, this is supposed to be applicable for the general…

Thank you :). Good point. I can attest to the same; but I'm learning to do what is best for me now ... Thanks for sharing as it is a good reminder :). Elizabeth Maryam

Thank you :). I will take a peek at his video. Thanks for sharing :) Elizabeth Maryam

Thank you for sharing your daughters experience. I am glad she has you to support her in doing LC. Otherwise, she would be taking even more insulin and likely experiencing more hypo episodes. Perhaps; but I like food too much to starve myself ... lol. And I think they would know that (or should have concluded that) from my…

Thank you :). I don't know if they even consider these things or just write them off as some crazy diet. I know the wellness dr was still putting the whole LC diet down even when I told her my dr recommended it (and my dr is one of the leading dr's in the area and oversees graduating residents from a medical university in…

Thank you. Ultimately they didn't cost me anything monetarily; but, when they said these things, it made me question if it was worth continuing to see them. At the next visits, I will see if they provide the info I originally contacted them for, and see if they follow through. If not, I will move on. Again, thanks :).…

I figured I would see them one more time to see if I get the actual information I originally went to them both for, respectively. It's interesting that replacing sodium can actually help your issues; but that's where each individual case needs to be considered first, and in this case, ones who are implementing low carb.…

I just remembered another thing they said .... that eating too few carbohydrates would leave my body eating up my muscles and that they (my muscles) would waste away ....... I think that would only happen IF I wasn't eating enough protein.

Thank you :). I will start working on increasing it now, because I'm used to keeping it around 1,200 a day ... Or lower. I know my potassium has been low before, as it showed up during preop tests and I had to increase it before surgery as it affects heart rythym or something like that. I may ask my dr about it when I see…

Thanks :). My son has a lot of intolerances and allergies (which cause him digestive issues and breathing difficulties), so I understand exactly what you are saying. I am certainly going to discuss this with my dr when I see her next. Especially after doing 20g of carbs for 6 days and feeling pretty good and then having…

Thank you :). I will look into increasing my sodium and potassium, as they are already both low (per MFP). I have to figure out how much to actually supplement. I do go back to my family dr on the 27th. Is the sodium, etc something that goes down after you have been in ketosis a long time or is it something that happens…

Thank you. How do you figure out how much you need? Thanks :)

Thanks. That's also crossed my mind. These ones are in the community, so it is my choice to have them involved, so I may choose to not bother ... I am also thankful my family dr is supportive. That's great that your drs are all supportive :). Where you mentioned a cardiologist, may I ask if you had to increase your sodium…

Thank you :). Great idea :). Thanks

Thank you :) fear has actually controlled a lot of my decisions in the past, and I need to brush off the "uneducated" fears that others have and are trying to impress upon me, because they are not my own. Thanks again :)
