Thank you cityjaneLondon, Katla, and KJLaMore and everyone else with kind wishes and prayers and hugs :). I will have to learn to write things down as it's hard to keep track of so many of you. Love and prayers for you all.

Tomorrow is a new day and a new week. Try to dust off what happened last week and start with a fresh beginning :)

lhannon, thank you and I'm sorry you lost your Mum too. I still cannot get used to the fact that she is gone... I think losing a mother is something we never get over ... My son basically just had my Mum and I ... his stepdad is still in the process of immigrating here, and I haven't been well, so my son fears he will lose…

DamitJanit, thank you. It hasn't been easy losing Mum as we were not expecting her to pass away. That's my mum with me in my profile pic. I will write something up soon and share with everyone. My son has been suicidal, and especially so since Nan passed away. Lots of bad things going on but I'm glad to be here. I'm not…

No worries, I had to ask too when I heard it

Try not to stress about your meal plan. Remember that you will be doing A LOT of walking, and it's not like you get to go to Disneyland on a regular basis. Try to have a good time and eat until you are comfortable and enjoy yourself :). It's a way of life, not a diet, so have a super time with your family :) (Half of this…

Hi Dandelily

Hi, I'm Elizabeth Maryam. I've dealt with Ed's since I was around 11 (earlier probably) and have dealt with anorexia as a child, teen and adult. During my adulthood I have had long periods where I have done well. When my blood pressure skyrocketed when I was around 44, I wasn't allowed to do anything and my weight…

I'm sorry for your losses lhannon. I can relate as my mum passed away 5.5 weeks ago and although she had fought several cancers for 1.5 years and had three surgeries, it was something else that ended up taking her life, and we were not expecting her to pass when she did. My condolences to you. Heather, I am also sorry for…

So sorry for the loss of your parents. My mum passed away last month and during her battle to overcome cancer, I regained some weight I had lost. My dad is terminally ill. I'm just starting to get myself a bit on track. If you would like to add me, please do. Take care and wishing you success with your goals. ~Elizabeth

If there is still space, please add me. Thank you

Doing as many sit ups that you can do in a minute or two (and do this a number of times during the day - or, for example, during commercials of a TV program) will help strengthen your abdominal muscles, which helps with toning.

Chocolate or anything with cocoa will make my skin have raw areas. Avène Cicalfate works well for me, to help heal the raw areas when I do randomly indulge. My son also uses it for his hands when they get dry and cracked. A small tube lasts us a couple years before we toss it out and get a new one.

I had super friends with my old mfp account; but for almost a year I was dealing with two family members who were near death at times and another family member who was ill, so I closed my account, as I didn't want to pull others down. When I opened this account, family still had a few near death crisis' (in December and…

^^^^ this. A good quality shoe store should be able to do a proper fitting for free.

Ditto what the others said. You can also get cookbooks (or recipes online) that have a minimum number of ingredients and are rated by ease. You might find that helpful when you prepare meals. I can relate somewhat to your situation, except my mum worked when I came home from school and wasn't home until long after I was…

I used to take that medication after I had radiation and I took it for edema (water retention). What helped me when I discontinued taking that medication was ensuring I drank enough water in a day. The less water I drank, the more my body retained fluid. I have to be careful with my sodium intake, and for myself (I can't…

See if you can have a stres test done, so they can advise you on your limits. That's what I did.
