I'm 5ft and will be happy at 126lbs. I know that weight is at the top end of BMI but I have large boobs (that never seem to reduce!) so any lighter than that makes me look ill.

A friend of mine is very large and has recently lost a fair amount of weight, its not as noticable as if a smaller person had lost the same amount though but I could see that she had lost some and I hadn't seen her since she started her diet. If you haven't seen them for a long time then I would expect them to notice a…

Based on your stats at 54kg you are just within the healthy BMI range. Some toning without weight loss may help you feel better about how you look, I really wouldn't recommend you trying to lose any. x

I hate being 5ft - a couple of extra inches would make a big difference to my motorbike choice, clothes choices, being able to reach the top shelf etc etc. I hate looking like a weeble more though hence the quest to lose weight. I love food so it has to fit in. Hell if I want a big mac I would eat it, likewise meals out…

I drink diet coke caffeine free - 1-2litres a day. Am i losing weight? Yes. Do i feel unhealthy drinking it? No. Do I feel hungrier because I'm drinking it? No. I cannot abide plain water or adding lemon juice et al to it. I used to drink sugar free squash but thats not available where I now live. Better for me to drink…

Prawns, tuna are also good. Can you take dressing with you in a little cup? Weigh it out and log the calories. I personally like creamy dressings but there are low fat/cal versions of most.

Chicken breast, sliced ham, balsamic vinegar. Boiled eggs. x

So find your motivation - do you want to be able to run and play with your kids? I have 3 kids living at home, 2 in school and 1 toddler. I started my journey back in Sept 2015 on weightwatchers initially but since they changed the programme I moved over to here. Back in Sept I weighed 11st 12lbs - now I weigh 10st 6lbs -…

Depends if you replaced alcohol with food then no stopping it won't make you lose weight. What is your calorie goal? How much do you have to lose? Are you weighing and tracking food correctly? x

I cook and everyone else has to eat it lol. I like my sweets etc too so I make them fit. I find it easier to resist when they are in the cupboard and available though (weird) If I haven't got them in then I want them more. I have kids so sweets, chocolate, cakes and biscuits are always here. If it fits into my calories I…

Also keep up any exercise you were doing and keep weighing and tracking - its all to easy to hit goal and relax leading to weight gain. x

Whats your goal? Seems to me like you have MFP set at 2lb a week loss which with only a little to lose is too aggressive. Set it for 0.5lb a week loss and eat the extra calories. Look at the net figure not the gross. Have you set MFP as lightly active or more? I'm 5ft, 42 years old, my activity level is set at lightly…

Its just food fitting into my normal day. I like food which is how I gained weight, now I have portion control and am losing. I eat what I want (except now its Lent and I gave up cake, biscuits and chocolate bars!) x

SW 166lbs CW 146.2lbs GW 126lbs or thereabouts. I'm 5ft and 42years young.

I weigh daily but only pay attention to my weds weight so I have a rough idea of what its likely to be but still get nervous. Sometimes its better than I think sometimes its not as good as I hope but so long as its going in the right direction I'm happy.

I step on the scales every morning just to see but only take notice of my weigh in on a weds for MFP purposes. That weekly weigh in is the only one that matters (to me)

oh and just do the exercise - fitbit will send it across unless its swimming or cycling. Don't worry about the deficit just do it!

BMR and TDEE are 2 different numbers. BMR is what you need to do nothing except stay alive in bed all day. TDEE is what you would use getting up and doing stuff like normal. There are many calculators for these. I generally don't see activity calories on MFP until I have hit a certain amount of steps or activity minutes.…

I have to be honest I don't give a flying fig what fitbit tells me about my food. I log all food on MFP and am on 1260 cals per day based on weight loss goal of 0.5lb per week, sedentary lifestyle, my age and height. I then earn calories for exercise pretty much based only on what fitbit tells MFP I do unless its an…

my settings on fitbit (flex) on the app go into settings, nutrition and body - I have mine set to a 500cal deficit. In activity I set my step target at 9k and 2,000 calories burned per day with 30 active minutes. I normally am doing over 9k steps per day averaging normally 11-12k. I march while watching tv, dance with…

I'm only 5ft and get more than that on fitbit.
-
Check fitbit that you have set it to lose 0.5lb not 5lb per week....
-
I quite like the Jessica Smith dvds, she also has a youtube channel. 30 min programmes.
-
I dance with toddler, march while reading my kindle (i prop it on the table) anything to get my steps in. When watching the american football I would march/step for a quarter - that was a great way to get steps and activity minutes up as I didn't stop when the clock stopped I just kept going. I seemed to always pick the…
