Mornin' y'all! I'm sitting in the cath lab with Dave. He's having an angiogram this morning. Absolutely no symptoms, but cardiologist saw a minor irregularity of some kind during his treadmill stress test several weeks ago. Since Dave's heart issues are strictly hereditary, and he's never had any outward symptoms, the doc…

Karla - yes, I've done it with ground turkey and it's just as good. Most of the time I get 96/4 hamburger if I can find it. If not, I get lean ground turkey. For my Simply Filling WW plan, either one works.

Karla - BS chicken is boneless, skinless, I believe. Hmmmmm.......the only other cookbook I can think of is one Kelly and Mike's Mom, my Aunt Peg, would have been involved in for the church a looooonnnnnnggggg time ago. So sorry, but I just don't know. There is a huge word file a WW buddy gave me back when I first started…

Janet (((BIG HUGS))). I just absolutely LOVE you and wish I could do more to help you feel the love. I was fortunate enough to be raised by a very loving and supportive immediate and extended family. While in high school, I encountered some pretty extreme sexism in athletics. Girls just weren't considered important enough…

Mornin' y'all! I've been to yoga class and the grocery store, taken Dinky on our one-mile loop through the neighborhood, showered, posted another recipe to the Family cookbook. Whew! Time to check in here and post a couple recipes. Janet - I would like for you to try something for me, please. Try some form of visibly…

Hi gang! We came home from the lake Friday and I had a very busy day yesterday - WW and then Old Timers Day in Jones, my hometown. Meant to get here to check in, but didn't quite swing it. We had a good relaxing time at the lake and were much lazier than we usually are when we go. We fished and boated a little, but the…

Patty - great news about your Mom! Janet - I would love for a professional to get a hold of our garage. It sorely needs something! Cindy - hang in there. Glad you're doing the hypnosis. I've never had it myself, but hear good things. Karla - so glad your eye surgery went well and you have that behind you. I'm very sorry…

Quick check in to let y'all know I've read everything but don't have time right now to post. Will do later this afternoon.

Hello from Deadwood, South Dakota burial place of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane. Today's travels have taken us from Devils Tower, Wyoming where we hiked yesterday then spent the night to Belle Fourche, Spearfish Canyon and now Deadwood, SD. Tomorrow it's on to Mt. Rushmore. I've been doing well with my paper tracking…

Hi gang! We're stopped for the night at a campground in Dubois, Wyoming after a beautiful drive today. Patti, you motorcyclers would have loved it! US 34 between Estes Park and Loveland, CO runs right along the Big Thompson River and takes every curve the river does right through the canyon. Then US 287 through southern…

Hi gang! This is our last night at Rocky Mountains and today wasn't nearly as taxing physically as yesterday. We did a jeep tour this afternoon and there were a couple really short hikes that were true challenges wi my cold. I'm moved into the sneezing and boxes of puffs at a time stage now... UGH! I haven't had a cold in…

Hello from The Rockies! It's just as beautiful as I imagined it would be. The bad news is I'm coming down with a chest cold. Still managed to hike 1 1/2 miles up to 3 different lakes this morning. Most of the 1 1/2 miles down were in the rain. Boy were we glad we'd packed our rain jackets with us! I was equally glad that…

Holy cow! Tired doesn't even begin to describe how I feel right now. I've had a heck of a horrible week of sleeping for some reason and boy oh boy do I ever need a good sleep tonight. Well, we're all packed up and ready to roll in the morning. I have over 10,000 steps today and not a one of them was from any kind of formal…

Hi Gang! I'm checking in from the hotel in Rogers, AR. It's been a successful day! I brought my healthy snacks so I will have something I can safely munch while driving and didn't even break them out on the drive over this morning. I just stuck to coffee! I'm quite comfortable with my meal choices today. My buddy and I…

Hi gang! We were in TX for a family reunion over the weekend and I had a medical appointment and car maintenance this morning. Packing for this week's work trip followed by dinner and a movie rounded out a pretty busy day! My first week of project me went OK. I don't know whether I lost any weight or not since I missed my…

Hi gang! Sorry for my absence yesterday. I'm still dealing with stomach issues and it turned into a pretty busy day. I confess that I just vegged in between commitments. Eating has been bland and easy to digest and is all tracked. I've not met my exercise goals but am not far off. All in all, I feel pretty good about how…

Mornin' y'all! It is a beautiful morning on my back porch - gorgeous blue skies, a gentle breeze and a morning low of about 65. August has decided to take a vacation in OKC. Patti (((HUGS))) some days just are train wrecks and we just have to move on. You're such a thoughtful person to do thank you's and gift cards for the…

Ok now for some chat and catching up. I've worked quite a bit this summer after accepting a couple of new training projects since we decided to stay either here at home or at the lake for most of the gardening season and I have a couple more projects pending that aren't training. I've been asked to facilitate a group of…

I LOVE the title "Project Me"! Thanks Resident Auhor A/K/A Cindy for coming up with it. And, big thanks to whoever came up with the actual project! Since I need detailed instructions when starting something new or unfamiliar myself, that's also the way I write training materials. So I've spent the morning outlining my game…

Mornin' y'all! From the looks of the last several days' posts, I picked exactly the right time to check back in. I pressed the reset button on Saturday. More in a bit...duty calls.

I can't get caught up but I'll try sometime soon! Today we're headed to the lake and cell hell, so I'll continue to be out of touch for a few days. We've decided to put our big national park trip off for 5 weeks because we found out we would have been in SD during the Sturgis motorcycle rally. Not the place to be if you're…

Janet - you are soooo right about the driving tunes! We leave for our trip on either Sat or Sun, July 23 or 24. Thanks for the tip about the OM packs. Are they in the snack aisle? I don't believe I've seen them, but maybe they're just on one of those aisles I try to avoid!?!

Hi gang! I had a nice nap - nearly 2 hours! We've begun some of our research and trip prep for the upcoming multi-national park RV trip. Right now I'm working on getting Dave's CD's ripped and imported into my iTunes account so we will have all our music with us. I've also been researching to see what kind of park bus…

Ugh! Speaking of donuts.....I did myself in today by stopping at Krispy Kreme "to get a cup,of coffee". WTH was I thinking?!? Reset. Move on. Tomorrow is another day. Good news - I get to babysit Dean, my great nephew again tomorrow! That'll be good for some extra calorie burn. Suzi
