Eating faces would also help you lose weight! So... win-win all around. Seriously though, I did low carb (ie. start at less than 15g of carb, then maintain in the 20s). Much less emphasis on calories, lots of emphasis on not eating carbs. You eat a lot of protein and low carb vegetables. You can eat bacon. Eggs. Steak.…

I think it just takes a whole lot more effort to lose, than it does to put on for most of us. To put on weight, I just follow my base desire and eat anything that I come across that seems remotely delicious. To lose weight, I have to fight those base desires, make conscious choices about what I eat, make conscious…

I'm in the same boat. I tried Low Carb, I tried 5:2 Fasting... in the end, they work but I couldn't keep them going. For me, it is really about calories in and calories out, moderation and balance, working your meal plan the best you can, and forgiving yourself a few off days (life happens!).

I'm 42 years young. Feel free to add me. Looking for positive MFP friends to keep me on track as well.

Look up on YouTube - Brothers Green Eats - and find his series on eating for $3 a day. He bought $21 of groceries for the week, not only to eat, but to eat well and fun. Very cool ideas as inspiration... But also just some fun cooking vids from these guys. Caution though, it could make you hungry

I got 50lbs to lose to. Could use all the MFP pals I can get.

Hey Gooz - not sure if I am like you, but I also used to love eating before bed. It was like having a second supper. I really didn't feel good without going to bed without being full. It was comforting for sure. But I made a commitment to stop eating 3-4 hours before bed time. I needed to lose weight and control my blood…

Need some MFP friends for motivation. Healthy talk. Recipes. Activity ideas. Renovation talk (I just started re-tiling my kitchen floor). I'm game for anything. Add me.

I have seen this exact phenomena myself and to date, have never received a good response to this. I thought it would be scientifically impossible. I'm not obsessing, I'm just trying to understand too. I have weighed myself before going to bed, and having not eaten or drunk anything during the night, and then I weigh more…

In the same boat, lost 25lbs, two years ago, and gained 15 back. You can definitely do this again!!

I need to weigh myself daily to stay on track. But the trick is trying not to get too obsessed over a few lbs up or down. Any given day, you could have a little more or less weight. Water weight. Food in your gut (to put it politely), a bad eating day, too much sodium... all these things could affect your daily weight. I…
