But yeah I'll try and figure something out. I just can't never eat those things again. Even if I have to buy normal ones, and drink medication afterwards, I will! I'd literally take the medicine over never eating sweets again. Lol
-
The problem is the town where I live doesn't cater for those things. And when they do, it's ridiculously expensive. Literally 4 times the price of the normal stuff. Gluten free stuff especially, you just don't find it here. Very limited options for lactose free.
-
I know what it is. It's mostly gluten and lactose, and then some other funny named ingredients too. But I only like certain types of sweets and those things are present in them. But I've decided I will try and limit myself to 1-2 servings of them a week. Hopefully that won't be too bad.

Fun....

I usually start feeling less fatigued after 4 workouts. And you just have to keep going for a month or so then it starts to become habit.

"Hi, I'm Leanne, I've lost 28lb counting calories and I've kept every pound off for 2 years, while eating sweets everyday! Nice to meet you" :)
-
I feel a little better now though. I ate dinner early. The cravings are still there, but not as strong.
-
Not unusual for me either. Also, a 250gram box of mixed cookies...half eaten as they are and half dipped in coffee...
-
It is probably out of habit. Only when I'm sad though. Which is why this is so interesting to me. I'm feeling fine, neutral - yet still craving my "sad" foods.
-
Yes because I have bought those exact things so many times this time of the day. Plus additional stuff. Especially when I feel emotional. But I'm not feeling emotional now. That's what boggles my mind.
-
Yeah, that's not the worst of it for me. When people start commenting on me eating gluten and lactose free and how much weight I'll lose from it, I start to get extremely offensive like they have insulted me. I feel like they are somehow telling me "ah well your not really sick" when they say that.
-
I love how everyone that knows me shakes their heads in disapproval when they come in my house and see my little neon green food scale on the counter. (Everyone that knows me is really against the idea of me losing weight)
-
Yeah I've seen. I actively try to seek out those entries now. :)

Between mfp and the bike, the HR monitor will be most accurate for sure. But there is no device as far as I know that will tell you your burn with 100% accuracy.

How can you know how much calories you are eating if you don't know the weight of the pieces? A chicken breast can be anywhere from 100-300grams of meat. That's a huge margin for error. Maybe skip the restaurants and make your meals ahead of time, then just grab them and go. At least that way you know what you are eating…
-
Yes weigh your food with a food scale. My lunch is for example 100grams of chicken breast with 150grams of vegetables and 30grams of cheese. It's the only way to be sure how many calories you are eating. Then you enter those foods and the amount you are eating in this app, which will tell you how many calories they add to…
-
Also - the minimum amount of calories for a male to consume is 1500, and 1200 for a female. Any lower than that and you will start losing muscle and bone mass and become malnourished. You claim to be eating less than 1000 calories a day? Then you should be losing weight. No exceptions. So you are eating more than you think…

To lose weight you need to eat less calories than you burn. Enter your stats into the Myfitnesspal app, and your weight loss goal, and stick to the calories the app gives you. Weigh all solid food with a food scale and measure all liquids with measuring cups. It doesn't matter how much exercise you do - if you eat more…

There are no bad carbs. They all have the same effect on your body which is give you energy. And since when are potatoes refined, they grow in the ground. Heck if I didn't eat potatoes I'd not be able to have any carbs. They're my safe food. (Digestive issues.)
-
A lot of people make this a lot more difficult than it has to be. Eat what you like, weigh your food and eat within your calories. And you'll lose weight. :) really simple.
-
HR monitors are more accurate, yet not 100% accurate. But they are more accurate than MFP.
-
Just eat within your calorie goal and stop worrying about carbs. You just need to eat less overall to lose weight.
-
Don't quit because you don't see results - keep going until you do see results.

Losing weight is about loving yourself enough to take care of your body. Not about torturing yourself because you got overweight. I think you need to let that sink in. Be kind to yourself. You're only human. And humans are not perfect. Not even nature is perfect and nature is beautiful. Forgive yourself and move on. I…

I drink cold lemon water during the day when I crave sweets. With a little added sweetener. So, lemonade basically.
-
Mondays. Because that's the day I started.
-
Ah well where I live we use the metric system anyway. Sometimes I find a food that's only in oz on mfp, then I have to convert it first to see how many grams that is...hahahaha
-
I get told EVERY DAY that I'm wrong. "You can't eat like that! You'll get fat! You shouldn't snack. You shouldn't eat carbs. Carbs are evil! Eating pizza and bread will make you lose" Really conflicting I know. What really angers me, is when I go to town looking for lactose and gluten free things. And everyone comments on…

Just MFP. I walk at a moderate pace but I put my speed in as slow. That burn has always been pretty accurate for me. Idk how much I burn doing ballet beautiful. It's not in the database but it's strength training so it can't be a lot. I just add it as 1.
-
Thanks :) didn't burn as much though. It was mostly just walking, but much more than I usually do intentionally.
