Everyone's different, right? Sometimes I get around 5 hours, even less if the kids are acting up (I have 3 children with autism and their sleep patterns are... challenging). I get up at 4:40 AM every weekday to work out regardless.

Just had a few more ideas. Almonds (I prefer roasted and salted). Dried fruit (cherries, cranberries, raisins).

I made a really simple vegan ranch out of Vegenaise, rice milk (though I suspect unflavored almond or cashew would lend a more appealing texture - mine was a bit too thin) and a few dried herbs and spices (parsley, onion powder and garlic powder I believe). I found the recipe at food.com. EDIT: yep... here's the…

I used to HATE watermelon. I mean, so much that I'd get nauseous just SMELLING it! Then, after a LOOOONG, hot and humid day at a soccer tournament on Saturday, my wife offered me some of her watermelon, all cut and chilled and juicy and delicious and low in calories and... 'scuse me, I think it's time to leave work and…

Use different mixes of greens, including things like spinach and kale Add chopped dill pickles and red or green onions Sprinkle a little kosher (or other coarsely-ground) salt and plenty of freshly-ground black pepper on top Mix in some black and/or pinto beans and your favorite salsa Top it with a Bolthouse Farms…

7 hours max... closer to 6 most nights. I definitely need more.
-
Took the words right out of my mouth... especially the bolded part!
-
Bolthouse Farms yogurt-based dressings are delicious and very low in calories compared to standard salad dressings. Salsa Verde Avocado flavor is my current favorite, and works well as a sour cream replacement in my vegetarian tacos.

It was! Here's the place. Right across the street from my office! http://www.mychickpea.com/

Cold cereal with almond milk (and sometimes a banana), Fage Greek yogurt, peanut butter toast...

4 pc. falafel, cracked wheat, roasted red pepper hummus, tahini, pickles, spinach, green pepper, red onion, cucumber, pickled turnips

Yes - good non-stick cookware has given me the ability to cut the amount of olive oil I use by half.

This! I don't like milk and I'm trying to limit my consumption of animal products, so I prefer almond milk to dairy. Is one better than the other? That depends on your goals.
-
My sister-in-law bought into the It Works hype and sold their products for a while... until all her friends and family learned that they didn't work as promised. Don't waste your money.

I avoid salty snacks (mainly chips) and packaged sweets (cookies, cakes, candy, chocolate bars). I could binge on all of those items.
-
I've done the same thing (though I'm not specifically replacing chocolate - just sweets in general). There's a protein bar in my lunch bag every day.

Are you weighing everything on a food scale - including condiments?
-
Never feel bad or guilty for eating Toblerone... it's delicious! Instead, be proud of the fact that you didn't eat the whole thing in one go!
-
You'll be shocked at how many calories you're consuming in those condiments!
-
Excellent! Measuring everything with a good food scale - in grams rather than ounces - has made a significant difference for me. Otherwise, it's too easy to under-estimate what you're eating.
-
I do the same, plus cheddar cheese and shredded or diced carrots.

Regarding the OP... wow! I can't imagine getting angry at someone for losing weight and getting in shape! I've gotten two different reactions to my weight loss: 1) are you sick?!? (people who can't imagine working hard and/or denying themselves anything they want) 2) AWESOME! You look great! How'd you do it? Obviously, I…

At my gym, it was the young punks posing for girls and hogging all the equipment while chatting/texting on their phones. Nobody pulls that crap at 5 am!
-
I'm at the gym every weekday at 5 am, and I absolutely love it. Everyone's there to exercise, then go to work - no screwing around. I went once late on a Saturday evening, and it was like stepping into another world. Never again!
-
What works best for me? Eating at a deficit to lose weight, and eating vegetarian to keep my gut happy.

Hello from Sterling Heights!

Ain't that the truth! I've had 'em 4 times now, and the first... I simply can't describe it. I tore my ACL and meniscus, I've suffered migraines... nothing like kidney stones. My wife, who gave birth 4 times (including one C-section) had kidney stones. She said, in her opinion, the pain was worse than childbirth.

Good job, man! I wasn't able to make it today and it's killing me!

The only thing that really fits your criteria is meat. So, what are you asking again?
